it is irritating.this pop never goes. it comes back after few second. even i tried uninstall and install agai. in same pc in IE 8 or google chrome. it never appeared so it is mozilla firefox problem. but how toover come to it ?

My firefox is not responding in some situations is there any tweaks to fix this issue i have reinstalled windows fresh and all programs are fresh.

Firefox seems to be running fine on my other 2 computers.

So could be something i have not installed.

Directions to delete search bar history by checking "Form & search history" do not work. Neither do directions to delete individual searches by scrolling down and hitting delete.

They appear to work but when starting a new search the history comes right back.

I can't get norton toolbar for firefox 36. Have run Norton live update repeatedly; it updated everything fine and applied a patch. When I go to firefox menu>add-ons>extensions, Norton toolbar is grayed out and says it is incompatible with with firefox 36, and is disabled. Help!! I need my Norton vault.

I want WEBROOT Plugin for Firefox but can not find it. I had it, now its disappeared and I can not find it to re-install it. How can I nstall the plugin for Webroot's password manager in Firefox? Was this intentionally eliminated from the latest update?

It not only locks up upon starting but sometimes starts fine and then some random site will cause it too lock up. Today it locked up on PC Doctor. I tried with no plugins loading. Turned on the default appearance. I installed the latest version. This didn't happen before version 35. I would like to install an older version.

I am having a problem and had this problem for a really long time. Firefox would enter glitch mode. Here is an example: http://www.factslides.com/ When I hit the next arrow, it would freeze for a second, and if I hit it multiple times, it would go to another page without me hitting the button. I would like this fixed for a future version.

Yet again I get the - Update Failed - message in my profile after I've updated (as admin) in win XP Home -SP3. I have verified through Task Manager and PowerShell (as Administrator) that the only instance of FIreFox running is you Bleeping error message. FF runs fine in the admin profile and shows to be up to date.

I have tried everything including uninstalling and deleting remaining FF profiles from all users and re-installing.

Is there something in the Registry I should look at?

So I lost my profile when FF updated, and had to create a new one. From what I can tell, to do what I want to do I need a Chrome Folder inside the new profile folder. There was none, so I created one. I also created a .css file named exactly how I put it in the title, is this the correct name, or should "user" be my profile name?

Last but not least, here is the exact text I have in the file, nothing more, or less, just this:

Ever since I "refreshed" Firefox 36, a small black bar has appeared in the extreme upper right corner of the Firefox screen that exactly covers the Minimize/Resize/Exit buttons. Although the controls work properly when I click in the left/center/right area of the black bar, why is the bar there, in that exact spot, in the first place? And how do I get rid of it?

For awhile now, every time I open FireFox, the menu icon bar and bookmarks bar have switched positions so that the menu icon bar is immediately above the tabs, and the bookmarks bar is above that, instead of the other way around (see screenshot). If I open customize, and then close it, without changing anything, they switch places and go back to where they should be (bookmarks bar above the tabs, menu icon bar above that), but it's annoying to have to do this every time I use FF. I only have one extension related to menu bars, Tabs on Bottom, and I deactivated it and rebooted FireFox, but that didn't solve the problem. I also tried changing themes, to no avail. Is this a bug or is there some setting I can change?

Other stuff that may or may not be relevant: I have the awesome bar, URL bar, and all of my menu icons (sans text) on one line. I have the text menu bar also visible. I'm running Windows 7 Ultimate, 1152x864 res with text at 125%. I always have at least a couple of tabs pinned.

On another computer I use (Windows 7 Home Premium, 1366x768 res, 100% text, also always have something pinned), I do not have this problem. However, on that computer, there is empty vertical space between the tabs bar and the bookmarks bar, as if another bar should be there (see second screenshot). I realize these may be two separate issues, but then again, they both seem to suggest an overflow issue, so maybe not.

I use Firefox 36.0.1 and Windows XP (32-bit version).

Lately, Firefox has been doing this weird thing where it randomly stops loading anything, as if the connection was lost (it isn't, everything else works just fine). When this happens, Firefox uses 50% CPU, when it usually gravitates around, well, 0%. Restarting the browser, or waiting for a few minutes "fixes" the problem temporarily. Same thing happens in safe mode, too.

I have a feeling this *might* be linked to Flash, since it seems to happen much more often when I'm trying to watch videos, or streams on Twitch. I've tried disabling plugin-container, and updating the Adobe Flash Player plugin, with little success. Malwarebytes couldn't find anything, either, and it doesn't feel like a virus anyway.

Whatever the case, I'm out of options at this point. I've been having quite a lot of problems with Firefox for a while now, especially when it comes to videos/animations (I can't play most Vine.co videos, for instance), and it's starting to make it difficult for me. I really don't want to switch to Chrome, I don't trust Google, and their browser lacks many key features I enjoy in Firefox (such as the bookmarks sidebar <3), so I really hope I can get some help here.

Any suggestions?

Today. I am suddenly being plagued by "Roll around adverts", how do I get rid of this? Roll around does not appear in my list of programs but an extension file does exist in my Programs file (x86) please see attached Print Screen image

I have spent 3 days trouble shooting this and can't resolve it. Firefox won't load pages, just get a grey spinning circle forever. No other message. I close firefox and restart, it won't start as it is still running in background. Task manager will not close it. I have to reboot the PC. I have tried deleting profiles, which helps for a few minutes then it locks again. I tried re-installing firefox and again it works for a few minutes then nothing. I have completely deleted all 'appdata' and still no luck. New profile doesn't help. I checked all security settings, firewall, etc. and nothing helped. I tried safe mode and the problem still exists. I have used firefox for years and now may have to walk away. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

One of the computers in my office has a nasty Firefox virus / adware. Only Firefox is affected, Chrome and IE are okay. Get lots of advertising pop-ups even though pop-up blocking is enabled. Lots of nonstandard advertisement pictures appear on most web pages. Hyperlinks show more advertising pop-ups when you hover over some of them. Firefox performance is very slow. When I use "Copy Link Location" over hyperlinks and pop-ups they each have a different core URL - too many to try to block through firewall or virus software. AVG anti-virus scan, Malwarebytes scan, AdwCleaner, HitmanPro all come up clean. All Firefox plug-ins and extensions are disabled. Reset of Firefox didn't fix it. Deinstall/reinstall of Firefox didn't either. Ran CCleaner on both files and registry. No suspicious programs show up in Control Panel. Ran anti-virus, Malwarebytes, AdwCleaner, CCleaner again while in safe mode. No joy.

Any ideas?

how to trust a website only when there is manually imported certificate?

I disabled all CAs and want to set FF to: 1) trust (and connect) only to sites for which I have imported certificate 2) do NOT trust to any other certificate (even issued by CA with imported cert).

Even if I have the certificate in the "Servers" list, FF still complains :( Tried in FF 39, 41 and 42 (linux 64bit).

I have read the other solutions to this and have implemented all of them. I disabled hardware acceleration, and updated all media drivers. This slowed down the crashes, but Firefox is still sluggish. I'm running Firefox 36.0.1 on a OSX 10.10.2 multiple addons.

When I search I get a Bing page with the search results (for example try "wrecking crew"), but when I click on the first result (wreckingcrew.tv), FF takes me to the correct page for a second and then that page disappears and I am on a Yahoo search page. When I click on the top entry, which is wreckingcrew.tv, I get a new tab which is once again a Yahoo search page, now labelled "DNS Solution Yahoo Error Handler". Also the search term has been changed to "wrecking crew bio images". This new page has lots of other links for wrecking crew, but no longer has a direct link to the correct website. This just started happening today (March 24) on my MacBook Air since I started running 36.0.4. I changed the home page to Bing and removed Yahoo from the search engine list but no help. Some other sites do not have this behavior. The other thing is sometimes when this happens, the default FF search engine gets changed to Yahoo even though I have explicitly REMOVED Yahoo from the list of search engines.

This is driving me NUTS! There is no problem in Safari, but I hate Safari.

Before i switched to Firefox and anytime i was on social media (face book) i could begin to type a friends name and automatically it would show up in a drop down. I don't have this anymore since using firefox. Can you help please?

Can I just download stable version without uninstalling the Beta version? Will the stable version install over the Beta? Will I lose my bookmarks, add-ons, plugins etc ??? What should I do to get the newest stable version so as to get rid of the Beta version which has caused my a few issues? Please be VERY EXPLICATE and with details because English is my second language.
