I am using Ubuntu 23.10.1 with KDE Plasma desktop environment. Since recently I've been experiencing the following problem with Firfox document viewer: after a period of inactivity, PDFs become unreadable, and seem to cumulate everything that was displayed on screen (see screenshot). Ctrl + F5 does not help, and neither does closing the window and opening a new one with a link to the file. KDE Document Viewer displays the same file correctly.

For years, I have used print to pdf in Firefox to generate pdf files of long web pages. It always worked. But lately, I noticed that huge numbers of blank pages are inserted in the pdf file, seemingly at random. I looked at the HTML source, and could not see anything that obviously triggers the blank pages. For example, a web page that ought to print to about 35 pages generates a file of more than 600 pages, with most of them blank.

I can use Microsoft Edge as an alternative, but pdf files from that browser strip out all the color, and are nevertheless super huge, about ten times larger than the ones from Firefox. E.g. the file mentioned above, about 35 pages, would be about 1.3 MB from firefox, and 12 MB from Edge. So getting the file from Firefox would be nice.

Is there a reason why print to pdf is behaving in this strange way, and anything I can do about it?

Hello Support, 5-1-2024 First Time in a decade I've had to contact support. Please TELL me why there are 13 instances of firefox running at the same time. It is take so much memory up and really slowing my machine down on the internet also. Tell me how to fix otherwise I will have to switch to a different web browser. I realy love firefox and have been using since It was released. I really Don't want to switch Browers but this is to much any more. It has become much worse than a Year ago. I do Not have any addons or extension installed now, I don't use them enough to install. Thank you for your help in this BIG HOG memory problem.

I have attached images of what slowly occurs when I don't clear my cookies, websites start to slowly and slowly load less and less until they eventually completely break and wont load and I have to clear my cookies, resign into everything. and rinse and repeat every few days or a week, I also attached an image of what the purchase screen is supposed to look like. I use the Rapport Add-on to protect my personal info especially when doing on-line banking at the moment I have to use Chrome but I would rather stay with Firefox but you dont have this extension why?

I want to delete firefox logins info and to make sure passwords and logins are never stored. I go to passwords, open up menu, and the "remove all passwords" choice is greyed out. How can I get that choice it be valid and to impliment that operation?? And to never have these stored??

I have been getting the "new version available, download now nag for over 2 weeks, and I have the latest version. Still get this issue repeatedly every day. Starting to become an every hour nag to update and install latest version of Firefox. Refuse to use Microsoft Edge or Chrome, and will switch off Firefox too if not rectified.

I recently purchased a new Mac Book Pro. After migrating my data from my old one I noticed that when using Firefox my Facebook account was not working properly. I no longer could access my own page or the pages of friends. However, I could access some group accounts I'm associated with. On Safari, everything works fine. I suspect something must have been compromised during the data migration.

I deleted the Firefox app from my new computer and then reinstalled it but to no avail. When I'm in Facebook and try to access my page I get an error message. My OS system to up to date and apparently my Firefox is up to date as well. Any suggestions? Thanks!

Every one has not been updated for 6-7 years. I don't see any release notes. Is this some sort of qualifying re-certification procerss?

Every time I open Firefox another blank window opens behind the main Firefox pages . I see it when I close Firefox so have to close that too. There is no URL in the window just a blank page.

after updating newest the version of Firefox the option to" restore previous windows opened " does not work. Is there a work around when I close my browser and then reopen the browser so that all the tabs that I had opened before closing my browser return as if I never left?I went into my setting and have the "open previous tabs" is checked. I even restarted my browser but nothing simple seems to work. Thanks in advance

I have played "Hero Wars,Dominion Era " for years on Fire Fox...They did an "update" last week(Thursday or friday 04/25-26?24)and I haven't been able to log onto the game itself since...I can still open the Hero wars home page,I can get into my "discord" chat etc etc etc,but I cannot get into my individual game.(If it helps,my Hero wars game ID # is 10920140)...I had to start playing the game itself on Google Chrome...I am hopeing you can help find a solution as everything I do is from Fire Fox & I really don't like chrome :(...PLEASE Help me resolve this if possible! ( Nexus suggested I use "Incognito" on FireFox ( I remeber that from a few yrs back,but honestly,i haven't used or seen "incognito" since :()

I would like to be able to make sure if a pop-up window is blocked, that I'm being notified about it, but there are no options in settings.

I read through the instructions listed on the help pages and found a message from support from 4 years ago about manually editing the settings, which wasn't helpful.

Are they just on by default now? Or did they get turned off and if so, how do I turn them back on?

(p.s. having something teach you how to do something, this case getting trouble shooting data manually, should open another window, not navigate me away from the page I'm sending this message from)

Firefox keeps reminding me that updates are available. I download and it says its installing but it doesn't seem to update. I have tried closing Firefox before running the installation but it makes no difference. I am on 125.02 at the moment.

something apparently got corrupted in firefox.. i tried running update and i keep getting failed to update.. i have refreshed.. i have uninstalled and reinstalled ...nothing. i am sure there is a folder or file somewhere that is corrupted and i cannnot find it. because even when i uninstall and reinstall fresh. all my bookmarks are there .. how to i start a TRUE NEW install??

I have tried to install my password manager Sticky Password several times to the firefox browser. The current version of sticky password is installed and running but the firefox browser leaves me a message saying it is not installed or running.

today 4/18/2024 firefox update. Now browser is slow. Task manager showing currently 15 firefox open, even though only one new tab is selected. It is causing laptop to overheat, fan is running constantly. Nothing else is open.
