Currently running 115.4.0esr, 64 bit... I have auto updates disabled via the json policy, yet every day I keep getting the warning about an update required and must go to download it... How can I disable the warning? It is annoying.

As well, while here in the forums, I did the "about firefox" thing to get the version and despite my settings, FF downloaded an update and wants me to restart to install it... what if I dont want it?

I get that you folks want to make things .... right... but there have been many changes that I am not fond of. Please respect my privacy and let me update by my own choice.

I have one site that produces PDF files that Firefox will not open correctly, my other browsers do not have a problem with PDF. What should I be looking for to correct.

I keep getting 'Gah. Your tab just cashed' notices for nearly all my tabs and also Youtube keeps buffering and finally just goes black. I used trouble shooting modebut that didn't help

Hey folks... I am running the latest ESR version for windows 7. I know, its limited support and stuff but I have this most annoying problem that just doesn't seem to want to go away.

Every day, several times a day, I am told there is an update available. I have gone in several times and downloaded and installed the latest release. The install goes fine, there are no issues. Yet, over and over again I am told there is an update... but I have the latest version installed.

In the past, I have used the "distribution" folder trick to stop updates and I have removed that a long time ago. I can't figure out why it keeps telling me there are updates, when there are none.

How can I stop this from doing updates where there are no updates to get? It's driving me nuts...

I have been using igHome as my Firefox home page for many years. Yesterday when I opened Firefox multiple porn pages kept opening. I uninstalled and reinstalled Firefox and that didn't help. I tried CCleaner and Malwarebytes to scrub any issues but that has not helped. HOWEVER, if I log out of igHome the multiple pages do NOT open, so apparently this problem is related to my igHome login.

I am using Windows 7 on this laptop and I understand that is no longer supported, but is there any way to remove whatever is causing these sites to open when I log in to igHome?

Please note this problem does not occur on a newer laptop running Windows 10. I am able to use igHome with no issues.

I would like to change my password for Mozilla Firefox account. I am doing so because I have been notified of a password security breach. However, upon signing into my account via https://accounts.firefox.com/signin (it doesn't matter which device), I cannot change my password with the new one without the red-colored incorrect password window popping up. I know my signin is correct because I have just signed in using it. Whats the problem guys?

I'm on Linux, Zorin OS, which is Ubuntu based if I'm not mistaken, very new to Linux.

Anyway, I've made a userChrome.css and done some changes I like to Firefox. It has been working fine until I tried to change the tab bar's overflow shadows when there are more tabs than there is space in the bar.

The rest of the css edits I've made in userChrome.css works fine but this overflow shadow reference Firefox just doesn't grab. I can live edit with the Toolbox and then it works fine, but when opening Firefox as default this css definition is as if gone.

My Firefox browser recently updated to 115.11.0esr (64-bit), and now embedded videos won't play, I can initially see a picture, but instead of starting to play, the screen turns dark green and I can only hear the sound. This happened once before recently, but then it seemed to fix itself after a week or two. How can this be fixed?

I've used Firefox for years and I like it!! I'm just wondering if there is anything Mozilla can do to counter the apparent collusion between YT and MS to coerce people into using Chrome, by means of YT degrading their videos when playing on Firefox?!

I just got a new computer, and I'm trying to copy-and-paste a profile over from the old computer to the new one, but this doesn't seem to be working. Firstly, when I click on the Firefox icon on my new computer (Windows 11), the profile manager doesn't start up, so I can't choose the old profile. I've tried copying over all of the old files into the new profile folder, and that didn't work, either. What's going on?

I don't know what happened because the browser was working fine earlier this morning and I didn't do anything to compromise it. I didn't go to settings and change anything. I suspect someone may have 'hacked in,' if that is still even a 'thing.' I think this because when I try to shut off my internet temporarily someone turns it back on and I usually have to 'fight' with whoever that is to get my internet to go off. I tried to ask google a question I wanted the answer to. That question was, how long does the flu last (because I have it or covid.) I also asked how long does covid last. What happened was that spinning thing where it was continually searching but never going to the site. Can you help, please? Thanks in advance if you can.

With Mozilla VPN, is it possible to use Tor Browser, or any other Tor-based browser, to access and browse the Internet? Some VPNs prohibit Tor Browser, and Tor-based solutions, from being used with their VPNs.
