I have just completed a new computer with new Windows 11 and fresh dowhload of Firefox and was very dissappointed to find that the Firefox font sizes on the menu and toolbars were very difficult to read because of their small size. Most of the available settings in Windows and firefox to increase the font size resulted in making the web pages and fonts bigger as well. Looking through the the Firefox help pages this seems to be a common problem that lacks a satisfactory solution - untill now.

I solved the problem by going into about:config and making the following changes: 1. Make sure that Browser.Display.OS-zoom-behaviour is set to 1 2. Set Layout.css.devPixelsperPx to 1.3 ( or between 1.1 to 1.5 to suit) 3. Set ui.textScaleFactor to 75 ( or between 75 to 100 to suit, decrease this number as you increase previous)

This solved the problem for me and I'm posting in the hope others may find this usefull.

I have run across some sites - well, pages on sites - which seem to stall and lockup my entire laptop requir8ng a restart and quick kill of the page when I then restart FF. I want to be able to simply block such pages or, the domain where such page resides. I can see things like blocking tracking but nothing on specific dom8ns or urls.

My computer 'guru' reinstalled Win10 in order to correct a serious problem. ALL of my programs were gone and I was left with a raw Win10. 6/12/2023 was last date prior to the disaster. I reinstalled Firefox. Using the "firefox.exe -p" I can only find the default profile. I DO HAVE a full backup done using the Win7 Backup and Restore feature. How do I resurrect my most recent profile? I will need to find the files(s) manually from the b/u. When I did a Full Restore the bookmarks didn't appear. Where and what files am I looking for? I need help understanding how the Mozilla VPN is installed on Chrome OS. I have been using Chrome with an extension in the browser. Does Firefox support this feature? How secure is my chromebook with your VPN?

I get this error when trying to access my email using FireFox. Lately this (or a similar) error happens weekly if not every couple of days. Always first thing in the morning, too.

my email works just fine using Safari so I am at a loss.

I have tried running FF (Firefox) in safe mode, ensuring outlook.live.com is an exception to the pop up window blocker, changed default protections on outlook dot com to none from standard.... Turned off ABP, clearing cache and cookies from within FF.

it may be worth mentioning that I can still browse/access other websites while outlook produces this error, and my network settings within FF are set to use default system settings (no proxy).

I can't log into my xfinity account. I get the following: Secure Connection Failed An error occurred during a connection to oauth.xfinity.com. PR_CONNECT_RESET_ERROR

I have a 'site' that is just files on my hard drive.

I need to click an anchor link such as: <a href="file:///dir1/dir2/dir3/dir4">Store Your Files Here</a> and have Firefox open the folder dir4 with the systems file manager. ( In my case the file manager is Nautilus ) ( Ubuntu 20.04 )

I have seen this: http://kb.mozillazine.org/Links_to_local_pages_do_not_work but it does not describe a scenario that uses the file:/// interface.

It also does not provide any information about how the files will be handled.

I can get the folder link to work currently , but it appears with the: 'Index of file///...' in a browser tab.

Obviously you can not use that for anything useful.

The main goal is to open the folder and be able to use the system file manager to include more content for the site without having to navigate to the folder manually. The folders I want to display are buried many levels down without the possibility of having descriptive names. I have ~121 pages/folders in this arrangement , and each one has content for each page. I would like to add a button on each of the 121 pages that will open each of the pages content folder.

Gmail sidebar loads Calendar no error but sidebar empty/clear/white; Calendar only (other sidebar apps eg Tasks or Contacts load fine); Firefox only (other browsers eg Chrome or Edge no problem.

Firefox can sync anything except logins and passwords between different devices. I have selected "Logins and passwords" at "settings-Sync-You are syncing these items across all your connected devices", but it still dosen't work.

Firefox 114.0, Windows 11 Home Version 10.0.22621 Build 22621 , 1Password-4.6.2.626 extension

Today, for reasons unknown, my 1Password extension, (an old and non-updatable version that I've used for many, many years), is non-responsive. The icon still resides in the Tool Bar, Windows ToolTips "sees" it as "1Password", but clicking on the icon has no effect. The extension is shown as Enabled in Firefox's Manage Your Extensions page.

I think I've tried all the "usual" things here: rebooted the computer, uninstalled and re-installed the extension and rebooting, checked the setting in 1Password itself to see that it's associated with "Mozilla Firefox 114.0", (the program still opens fine outside the browser).

This seems to be related to Firefox 114.0. On my other computer with the same Windows 11 version but using Firefox 113.0.1 had no problem with 1Password, but as soon as Firefox updated to 114.0 the same problem with 1Password appeared.

Anything that I might be able to do to get 1Password working?

Tell me how to "re" install my previous version of 113.02 and then fix this bug. Don't know where to get "old" versions to download and will old version just "install" right over the version installed and keep all the bookmarks, etc.?

when I try to connect to my Xfinity email. Can't imagine what happened to the authenticity.

After probably more than a decade using Firefox, I suddenly cannot access my email on Xfinity. Now I have to use Chrome to get to my email. The message I get is:

I looked at the Help for this and couldn't understand any of it; besides which, the help didn't have this specific error; instead mentioned 2 other types of error: SSL ERROR RX MALFORMED HANDSHAKE and SSL ERROR UNSUPPORTED VERSION

I no longer can use Firefox after years of being an avid user and supporter. I have followed all directions to enable the u2F extension. Have gone as far as reinstalling firefox. Are you going to fix the issue? If not I must discontinue which makes me sad.

After updating to 114.0.1 the print orientation for pdf's has disappeared. PDF's we used to print often now come out with the wrong orientation and have to be printed with the system dialog instead.

How can I delete a second email account folder that duplicates data in 1st folder? Folder names are as follows: prentissr@ example.net prentissR@ example.net
