I recently renamed a number of "htm" files and their associated "_files" folders. I used windows "rename" function, which I now know was wrong. I now know to open the file in Firefox and use the Firefox "Save as" function to rename.

So my improperly renamed htm files no longer associate with their "_files" folders that contain .js, .css and .svg files necessary to open the page. I end up with a blank screen

I've read a number of posts on how to use "save as" to maintain the file and folder association, but I have found nothing on how to "fix" this "after the fact".

Ideas?

Radio buttons on some websites neither display nor update when the area in which is should have displaed is clicked. FireFox 113.0.2 (64-bit) on Mac OS X 10.13.6 (High Sierra). This problem has been present for some time. On other websites the radio buttons do display and do upate when clicked by toggling the dark center. The minority of websites which don't work seems random, but does include some banking websites and the IRS.gov website. Often using SAFARI will work when FireFox doesn't.

The CheckBox at the end of this page "Email me when someone answers the thread" appears but does not respond to a click.

With the latest update to Firefox (116.0.1) typing anything in the search bar looks as though my keyboard is mapped to everything - every keypress does something different. This only affects Firefox, no other program behaves this way (Word, Excel, Discord, etc.).

Currently running Windows 10, AMD Ryzen 7 1800, DDR4 RAM, Malwarebytes, and ZoneAlarm Extreme Security version: 15.8.139.18543. Had to revert back to Firefox 113 to type this via downloading it via Edge.

I keep getting a prompt to update the latest Firefox update on my windows laptop. I actually did it and lost everything I needed, like bookmarks and asked for help and the instructions were so difficult I gave up. I don't know how it happened maybe I shut down and opened it again but I opened another tab and my old 'stuff' was all there so I closed the tab with the new update. What I'm saying is one tab had my old way and the other tab had the 'new' terrible way. Now I can't stop the prompting to update Firefox with the latest. I don't want the latest update if I'm going to run into the same problem so who can I talk to about this? Don't send me a link to do this and this and that. Not everybody knows how to do all that or even understand it!

Since a couple of months I see only [object Object] instead of code blocks on (almost) all web pages. For example on StackOverflow.

Any ideas what could cause this?

After updating to FF 114, I noticed that my history and cookies were no longer being cleared according to my settings. Also, a particular page is now being opened as a pinned tab.

I reverted to FF 113, hoping that this would be fixed in 115. Today I tried 115.0.3, and history is still not being cleared. I have again reverted to FF 113.

I am on Windows 10. My history settings are to use Custom settings and clear history when Firefox closes. Cookie settings are to delete cookies and site data when FF closes.

Is there any intention to fix, or is this some new behavior that I am stuck with? Also, is there a way to clear the pinned tab behavior?

The built-in screenshot feature in Firefox is great in many ways, but for some reason when selecting "Copy" (Copy screenshot to clipboard) instead of "Download", and then pasted into the Apple Mail app the receiver will get a file attachement named "PasteGraphic-1.TIFF".

It would be a lot more practical to have it saved in the PNG format which makes the file smaller and more compatible. I haven't been able to find any option for this though, but is it perhaps hidden somewhere like in "about:config", or is this something the developers can look into?

I am on a Apple Silicon MacMini M1 ARM running the latest Mac OS of Ventura. why does Firefox think I am on an Intel machine under Mac OSx 10.15 when I am on Mac OS Ventura? I assume that Mozilla does not have a ARM version or is this a configuration issue? Or is there a different issue at play here?

I use thousands of text replacement shortcuts on my Mac, which are all honored by Safari, Chrome and virtually every other browser, but not FireFox. What's up with that?

Was working yesterday. I didn't change anything. Calendar loads but can't open or create items. Mail loads, but cannot open or delete emails. Looks like it will open email, but doesn't. Tried restarting computer, clearing site data and checking version of Firefox. Erroneously states updates disabled by site administrator. This is in Linux. Linux says current version of Firefox.

I have downloaded Firefox 113.0.1 for Windows x64 but the file seems to be corrupt. When I check the installation file with 7Zip Test Archive appeared a Warning Message due to a Checksum error. All others versions of Firefox downloaded can be checked correctly by 7Zip, but this installation file show an error message that I never have received. Is there a problem with the file? Thanks

Firefox/mozilla spends so much time jerking each other after new updates, THEY FORGET that more than half are stuck with a crappy update and NOBODY AVAILABLE TO HELP.

 I suggest you provide a link for REAL help.  Stop hiding like cowards and help the people your updates end up screwing up.
  OR MAYBE you can actually create an update that WORKS.

Your latest update destroyed everything and nothing works. So how about you dummys be available to actually help your customers.

  Do you think an update that takes users DAYS TO FIX  is an update you can be proud of???!!!

An update should NOT cause users to spend hours looking for a solution your damned update has caused.

Your new update, like your last several suck. It is sssllllooowww to load most webbsites. Watching a video is frustrating, pausing every few secons. I am SICK OF EATCHING THAT WHEEL GO ROUND AND ROUND. What is most frustrating is your damned "Update" looser, piggy-backed of of a windows update. I DID NOT want an update, because you idiots cant create a update that doesnt screw up every aspect of peoples browsing or interne5 experience. To m,ake it worse, you cowards hide. There is no way to contact a HUMAN, your help is a bunch of questions that are never answered by [redacted]. Since nobody can write a workable update, Get a job at a fast food joint, and hire people who give a damn, an can actually write something that [redacted] WORKS!!!!!!! Some pages in the new internet banking site of my bank do not load while using Firefox, while they show on other browsers, including one on an android phone. For example, I was told by the customer help from the bank that if I click on my account name after login to internet banking, I should see a page with a button showing "Tax", and on that page I can click on "Download TDS" to download a tax deduction file. When I try to do this, a page showing "Tax" opens, but the page is otherwise blank. Clicking on "Tax" does not produce any result. I can carry out the "Download TDS" transaction on other browsers.

Should this be seen as a drawback of Firefox, or there is something else I can try, apart from using another browser?

Hi. Why yesterday site action.com its opening properly. To day its [expletive] up. Opening for 1 Second and all is black? Its not posible opening this site in any option mobile or PC mode? Why its so problrmatic to send you this report? Why in option in android not existing customer support? How ppl can do this like you hiding this support site? Ever since the most recent update to Firefox I consistently get the following message when attempting to login to https sites which I have been connecting to for years: Secure Connection Failed

An error occurred during a connection to www.att.com. PR_END_OF_FILE_ERROR

Error code:PR_END_OF_FILE_ERROR

   The page you are trying to view cannot be shown because the authenticity of the received data could not be verified.
   Please contact the website owners to inform them of this problem.

Clearly the problem is with Firefox and not with the website owner since it occurs with all websites.

I found over 100 instances of PR_END_OF_FILE_ERROR but the few responses I looked at were back in 2021 or 2022. One solution suggested clearing the cache which I did and I was then able to connect. But now that does not help. Is my only reliable solution to delete Firefox and use some inferior browser?
