The URL in the URL bar is trimmed. I went to about:config and disabled "browser.urlbar.trimURLs", but it still did not work after I restarted Firefox. (see images)

Firefox version: 105.0 (on beta update channel)

I later then found out that there is a lot of unused space on the right. (see https://1drv.ms/v/s!Ag9_47ED3j7sgsZhkB02k7gI3lavyg) How do I remove / make use of the space on the right of the URL bar? How do I turn off the trimming of the URL?

Any help is appreciated!

Hi,

I'm struggling with how to sort my many bookmarks. Not sure if a bookmark should be in a sub-directory and/or I add multiple tags. I've thought of adding them to generalized directories and then adding as many tags as needed, but am not able to search/select multiple tags in the Library window. Any pointers on what is a good way to do this?

I have things like Coding, Learning, Tools. But then also Git, PHP, Linux. I can't figure out how to sort all these :( Thanks for any input you may have.

Cheers.

Today's 105.0 Firefox update rendered my NYTimes Wordle page unusable -- a big empty [ad?] space has been inserted at the top of page, forcing the game halfway down the page (https://www.nytimes.com/games/wordle/index.html). The PC keyboard is still connected (I can enter letters in the puzzle grid) but the mouse is not connected so I cannot scroll the page, cannot bring the pictorial keyboard into view.

How can I uninstall the 105.0 update?

Thanks, Gail

For the last few days I've experienced this issue on the https://bank.barclays.co.uk/ login page (at its second step, the "PINSentry card reader" option, reached after entering basic account details):

  • the page is very wide indeed (too wide for the window),
  • the graphics are distorted (stretched horizontally), and
  • one of the text entry boxes has fallen off the left edge of the window (even though the window's horizontal scrollbar is dragged all the way to the left).

See the attached screen-grab.

I experience this consistently, with Firefox rel 104.0.2 and rel 105.0 (both on Win10). It happens on my desktop PC and on a laptop (also running Firefox 105.0 on Win10). It happens in "normal" AND in Firefox's "Troubleshooting" modes. I have tried using "clear cookies and site data" for "barclays.co.uk", but the problem persists.

One workaround is to do (menu command) "View > Page Style > No Style" (or "View > Enter Reader View)"; the page layout goes squiffy but at least the all the text entry boxes are now accessible. Another workaround is to use MS Edge instead of Firefox (but my preferred browser is Firefox...)

Is this a known issue? Can you suggest a fix?

NB when I do Tools > Page Info, the "General" tab reports "viewport= width= device-width, initial scale= 1". I don't know if that's relevant.

Also on "Tools > Page Info > Media" tab, when I select one of the listed graphic elements, its preview window also renders the graphic stretched. But when I copy that graphic's URL (e.g. "https://bank.barclays.co.uk/authlogin/img/PINsentry_cardreader_card_number.png") and enter that URL into the browser's address bar, then it successfully (and correctly) displays that isolated graphic element, without any stretching.

Good morning. As the title suggests, Firefox suddenly doesn't work after a windows 10 update a few days ago. The videos play, but the audio doesn't work. Microsoft Edge plays audio smoothly.

I tried to: - Clean the cache - Clean cookies - Check permissions for sites (automatically play Audio / Video etc.) - Restore Mozilla - Restart PC - Uninstall Mozilla - Check in the volume mixer that Mozilla was not muted - Check that the tab wasn´t muted. - Check in Settings > Sound to see that Mozilla is present among the various programs used by the Sound Card - Checked if Mozilla played with another account - Used Troubleshooting mode

I don´t know what else to do, I don´t recall touching anything but Bluetooth Settings from time to time to reconnect my Headphones.

Previously when I would open an attachment in my att/bellsouth email, (powered by Yahoo), it would open in a new tab and also download it and save it to the download folder. Now when I click on attachment it displaces my inbox while still downloading and saving it in the download folder. I did make one change previously; I set it to open downloads in Firefox because if I wanted to open something from the past, it would open in Edge. I don't use Edge, so I set it to "open in Firefox" but now I can't find that setting to see if it is causing my issue. If it's not causing my issue, I will still need to know how to get attachments in my email to open in a new tab.

Every time windows updates, Firefox will not open websites and gives Secure Connection Failed error, even website to download Firefox. Edge and Chrome open the websites fine. Last time I downloaded earlier manual install Firefox and it would open the websites fine, but it would not update when prompt came up saying update available. Windows just updated and most of the websites I need/use will not open in Firefox, even the federal government websites like USPS.com. It is getting to be too much hassle and I am considering to change main browser, even though I like Firefox (when working properly) better than the others. "Fixes" I found with internet searches do not work. Firefox was upgraded to 105.0 (64-bit), the latest version according to website. (Note: Had to download using Edge, Firefox gave Secure Connection Failed error when clicked on download button.)

Why does every update include loads of stuff that worked fine before but then gets broken?

BBC News webpage - always was fine - update 105.0 arrived - now has to be zoomed down to display correctly on a 12" Macbook. Default appears to be trying to display a mobile layout.

I don't want to have to adjust the zoom every time I look at it. And I don't want to set the zoom to 90% for everything.

Any suggestions for a cure? Thanks.

Hi, so yesterday, I updated to the latest version of FireFox (version 105.0). Nothing seemed to be out of the ordinary until I decided to watch a few YouTube videos. The best way I can describe this problem is that every time I decide to scroll down to see the description or read a few comments, the entire screen on my laptop goes black regardless if it's on default view or full screen.

Even though that does sound like a crash, the audio still plays, and if I power the computer to sleep mode and log back in, the window of the video automatically scrolls up and everything is back to the way it was (but I did had to restart the laptop once because it also visually broke my mouse pointer). The only way I can get around this problem is to pause whatever video I watch and then scroll down, and no black screen occurs.

I don't know if I'm the only one who has this problem, but I've never had this issue happen in past versions of FireFox. If there is another way to fix this problem, I'll be glad to take anyone's possible suggestions/solutions.
