Two days ago Thunderbird no longer would send emails (been using it without problems for 7 years) I have read all the previous posts on this. Tried sending emails after disabling firewall and Malwarebytes without success. I can receive emails sent from my Spectrum email account (still works). I can send emails from my iPhone using the identical Outgoing Server Settings. The settings are in the screenshot. Also downloaded the latest version of Thunderbird today. Didn't fix it. To get around the problem right now is I am composing my emails (IMAP), saving them in my drafts and then sending them from my iPhone.Any ideas? Thank you!

 After installing Thunderbird 115, when sending an email, very often I will receive an email alert stating (see image - spanish screenshots):

Delivery failure: An error occurred while sending mail: outgoing server error (SMTP). The server responded xxxxx.domain.net Errro: timeout exceeded.

settings are the same for account using Outlook, which does allow me to send emails

Hi; Having many issues in the new Ver. 115 Can not send some emails, some work some don't? Emails not showing up in sent mail folder? Some do some don't. Very inconsistent. Very strange and inconsistent Issues such as can not send with 1 email account but can with another even though both use the same outgoing server. When switching folders they now go to oldest message. Archived Folders have disappeared (started a new thread on this)

What the H*** is going on? Is there a fix?

Lately, I have been receiving error message "Sending of the message failed. The message could not be sent because the connection to Outgoing Server (SMTP) mail.iinet.net.au timed out. Try again." I have checked the settings and they are correct. The message will send using iinet webmail, but not with Thunderbird, so the problem appears to be with Thunderbird. These are usually emails with an attachment (even small). The sending of the email stalls aroung 35%, before the message appears. I am using version 102.13.0 (64 bit). I am using Windows 10 with ESET Security. Tried sending with without ESET protection which made no difference. Can you please help?

When I try to send to send an E-mail message I get the message "The mailserver answert : Unable to relay without authentication.. I checked everything also by the provider the settings are OK as far as I can see. Sending mail from my G-mail account is no problem! Hoping you can help me regards P.Rensel

I am unable to send emails from my Thunderbird email account. There is no "dashboard" or options bar displayed when I hit "reply" to a message. Nor is there such an options bar to create emails.

This is worrisome.

Please advice.

I have installed Thunderbird on new computer. The first account that I set up works great. I then added second and third accounts. First account can send and receive email. Second and third accounts can receive email but when I try to send, I get a msg telling me that the msg size exceeds the global size limit of the server and to reduce the size and send again. And, to use port 587...which I am using. The msg is NOT too large, typically, it is, "This is a test."

See attached pic. I'd really appreciate help pointing me in the right direction.
