I have been using the "install as app" feature in Firefox for Android for years. It is a great feature for appifying services that don't have a dedicated app and for getting around poorly implemented stand alone apps. Last night I tried to delete a redundant "app" icon from a web page that I made a shortcut for in Firefox. Apparently removing the shortcut icon via the normal Android UI also completely removed Firefox and all my other app shortcuts that I made in Firefox before. Please fix this bug ASAP if you are able, I understand it also may be an Android thing you can't fix. I have not recreated the bug because it is very annoying to have to reinstall and reconfigure Firefox.

Favicons for shortcuts added to the startpage do not persist. In other words, when I add a shortcut to the startpage, the shortcut initially displays the expected favicon for the respective site. However, when I leave the startpage and then come back, the shortcut favicons are no longer displayed. Instead, the shortcut is simply a colored box containing the first letter in the name of the website. I have already tried the prosaic troubleshooting meaure of deleting the app cache (to no avail), and I am using the most up-to-date version of Firefox on Android. Any other ideas, or is this a bug?

Im a regular user of Firefox Mobile and also Firefox PC. I'm missing a very important feature in "Firefox Mobile" is Shortcuts are not Coustomizable i can't order them and also shortcut isn't "Synchronized" with Firefox Account which is really frustrating. Became "Vivaldi" & some other browsers have this features!!! I used firefox like 2years but, If i want these features i have to shift from firefox to other browsers, which i don't want to. So Please Solve my problem and make me mozilian forever.

After installing a shortcut to a website that stages as an app through the Firefox Android app (Samsung 6.0, Android 14) when using said shortcut, if entering any text box the keyboard will pop up and rapidly close and open, making it unable to use. This problem happens on any text box, and with any keyboard. I'll attach a youtube link of a screen recording as well as a gif, though it's rather difficult to see the entire problem through a gif. I have used Firefox since late 2004, and nothing else. No problems until now.

Android 14 and Firefox mobile I think version 123.

It is updated. When I'm on a website, like USPS and accessesed Informed Delivery, I tell Firefox to Add To Home screen so I can quickly access mail and packages coming today.

Has always worked fine. Now, none of my manufacturered/created Firefox shortcuts will do anything. I cleared the Firefox cache, and forced stopped. I don't know if cleaning the data or reinstalling the whole app will help.

I then deleted data and uninstalled and reinstalled Firefox, but nothing changed.

I tried earlier versions but got a notification off it wasn't compatible with my version on Android.

I'm recovering from a stroke and these lost shortcuts stored on my homescreen were vital to communicating with my doctors, therapists, outpatient rehab, hospitals, etc. I'm lost without them.

Any suggestions or reasons for this are appreciated. Thank you

I've been reusing android firefox again lately and I noticed I would have a bunch of tabs at a time. Then I realized that it was because whenever I would click a shortcut from the search screen it would open the page in a new tab instead of staying on the current tab. Is there a way to change this?

Just wondering if anyone else is having this curious behavior after updating to FF v112.0 for iOS - every time I quit/ close the FF app, it spawns a new dock shortcut '(even though I already have a valid one from prior use there which works fine!)'.

Is this a bug/ issue that has been noticed/ logged by others as yet?
