Hi, I am not sure how it happened, I am now in a position where I can't use my Thunderbird properly. Every time I open TB, it asks for "please enter your Primary Password" which I don't have/deleted? If a try to remove the tick from "Use a Primary Password" it opens a box requesting my Current Password, I have tried the last one and the one before, none are accepted. When I search in Saved logins, it seems to me to be empty. in short I seem to need a current password to change my password. It is a vicious loop. I just enabled cookies in order to fix a connection problem with Google and Xfinity. While going through the process, I noticed a Facebook web address was pre-filled, and I immediately deleted it before realizing "block" and "allow" are both on that same page. Can someone please paste that link here so I can put it back where it was?

I said it all in the in the opening statement... What else am I meant to say?????????? It worked fine 2 weeks ago..? But now forget it!!!!!!! What has changed....you must know ... So don't ask me just fix it!!!!!!

I am using the credit card autofill function. I select a card and payment is taken from a different saved card. I have quit and restarted Firefox but still wrong card used???

I wrote an email without putting in anyone for the 'TO:' or 'CC:' fields. The BCC: field only had my own email address in it.

I accidentally sent this email before I had sorted out the TO: and CC: fields properly.

In my sent email and it had 'undisclosed-recipients' in the To: field.

I found this disconcerting, since I wasn't SURE if I hadn't put anything in the CC: or TO: fields. I worried I may have sent a rough, poorly worded email to someone and that could backfilre.

Am I right that whenever 'undisclosed-recipients' is shown in the To: field and I sent the email, I can check in that sent email who was in the BCC: field and that should re-assure me who had actually recieved a copy of that email.

Clarity in this area would be VERY helpful.

I'm testing different Debian 12 on multiple VMs, it came to my surprise to see that my VPN hash I used on a website the day before was saved by Firefox on the new VM.

The Sync was on but then which one saved my form (hash)?

1. Numbered list item Logins & Passwords ? note: The hash was not a login but a form. If Firefox saves all the form, you should explicitly rename Logins by any forms/inputs.
2. Numbered list item History? note: I hope this is only URLs.

If Firefox is savings "forms" (input fields) not just "logins" then it should be explicitly written. Is it an expected behavior?

Hi, Before Firefox's Version 125.0.1 (64-bit) latest update I could download any file from my safe office environment, behind firewalls, VPN, ... Now despite of unchecking the "Block dangerous downloads" I'm still unable to download files. I have Windows 10 on my laptop.

Here are the steps: Click on a file, Save "File not downloaded. Potential security risk." Click on the message - Allow download The result is a file with content "HTTP Status 405 – Method Not Allowed".

Please help me to work the downloading again. I am aware of the safety but I want to switch off this feature.

Dzień dobry, W mojej przeglądarce chciałabym skorzystać z czatu GPT, ale pojawia się komunikat, że żeby skorzystać muszę wyłączyć blokadę reklam. Szukałam takiego czegoś w ustawieniach i firefox support, ale nie znalazłam nic co by pomogło w wyłączeniu blokady reklam. Czy mógłby mi ktoś pomóc i pokierować jak mogłabym wyłączyć blokadę reklam? i have been away from my pc for 6 weeks and cannot access thunderbird. it repeated states that the login server IMAP.telstra.com failed my email hillsec@bigpond.net.au i have tried changing the in server and outgoing server to match my ipad and iphone which can receive emails. please help me to restore everything in thunderbird.

back in 1916-18 the ability to disable the "SHOW PASSWORD" Button worked with with a variation of the following at that time user_pref("pref.privacy.disable_button.view_passwords", true); I believe I created and used chrome.css or chrome.js

At some point this functionality ceased to work.

Now, I have scoured the Net to figure out a Solution simply setting the value to True, gets reset by Thunderbird, TB does not save it. it always reverts back to False and the button remains available and does not disable

I have tried everything, adding it in user.js, settings.js, userChrome.js I put it in every directory, nothing seems to work

Do I have to Lock it? - How? confusing and disappointing.

Please provide a simple step by step Solution to the problem

On the page listing passwords, it was possible to sort them by "Alerts".

In settings, there is an option to enable checking the vulnerable passwords: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/firefox-password-manager-alerts-breached-websites

On my other laptop using Firefox v121, the alerts are properly displayed. But on my second laptop using Firefox v124, the alerts are gone. I can't sort password by "Alerts", the option isn't there. Both laptops share the same Firefox account and have password synchronized between each other.

Obviously, I ticked the "Show alerts about passwords for breached websites" box in the settings but it looks like it does not nothing. I also checked in "about:config" and everything seems good.

Is this feature gone?

Jag använder ovpn satt 10 timmar igår med att lösa ett dns läckage men det fungerar inte ovpn säger att det är ni på firefox som kan lösa detta och inte de. Jag vill gärna få hjälp via teamviewer. Mvh Carl Sverige
