I get this error in my console XPCOMGlueLoad error for file /usr/lib/firefox/libmozgtk.so: libwayland-client.so.0: failed to map segment from shared object Couldn't load XPCOM.

I have accessed (Google) Youtube - History, over Firefox/DuckDuckGo for a number of years now without difficulty. Recently Google introduced a Two-step security check and, when selected, a question was sent to the handset (which I use as a tether for two laptops) which always quickly appeared and quickly responded to my finger's touch. In the last couple of weeks the question is still asked but nothing comes through to the handset, or the standby handset. For a test I then went through Google Chrome and that opens the Youtube History without any questions etc. It seems to hint that Google are using the Two-step etc to keep out access over other Browsers. I am based in the UK. All suggestions will be welcome. Kind regards, Tim Simpson

Under "Settings" > "Files and Applications" > "Downloads", I have selected "Save files to [Downloads]" and I have set the tick mark in the box ("Always ask you where to save files"). See screenshot.

This setting used to work fine for many a year. However, some months ago - and ongoing - Firefox does no longer ask me where to save a downloaded file. This is very annoying indeed!

How can I fix this?

I am using Windows 10, Firefox 124.0 (64-bit).

Why am I getting these notifications? I have the latest version, but this prompt not only asks me to update, but there's no mention that it will install the beta 125.0 beta 1

cannot log into my Ame account with username and password since update to 124.0...

AFter enter information keeps spinning as if going to log in but then just stops log in. No error message,

When I try to log into my AMEX account with FF, nothing happens. The screen refreshes itself, but no log in, and no error or other kind of message. I have entered my User Name and Password manually and using Auto fill, no success.

This problem was posted in January 2020 and I have tried all of the solutions. I have cleared cookies and cache for ALL sites and cleared saved logins for Amex. Still does not work. I have tried logged in and incognito mode. Still doesn't work. I can log in on Chrome with no problems.

It was working fine a few days ago.

Hi, its been a while now that I've noticed every version of FF doesn't work that well with Facebook. For example, I'm scrolling through posts and when I click on a picture to open the post, the mouse click area is miles out to close pop up windows etc. It only happens on some posts but a majority is this issue.

Anyone else has this problem? FB via Chrome works fine.

All of the files I try to download fail immediately. Even extensions will not download on firefox. I have uninstalled and reinstalled and checked the download location. Downloads work on other browsers such as Chrome fine but nothing will download on Firefox.

When I try to sign in to Delta.com, on my Macbook air, where I have an account and go there frequently, today I cannot access. Even when I try to reset my password, the page will not respond. I tried the same on Safari, and it worked just fine.

so the problem has to be with Firefox, not with Delta.

When I attempt to login it just spins and nothing happens. Works on Safari and Chrome.

Opening DevTools I can see an error about "CORS Missing Allow Origin" but I don't have this issue with any other browser. I have disabled/removed all my browser add-ons and the issue persists. I have no problems logging in to any other site.

Hello! Can you help me sort out a little problem? I am reaching out to seek assistance with a specific issue I am encountering in the Firefox browser.

In my previous browser, when opening new tabs, they were considered active even if I did not immediately switch to them. This behavior allowed me to open multiple tabs, for example, by using the mouse wheel to open several videos from the main YouTube page. Subsequently, when closing the main page, the videos would be available in the order they were opened, facilitating a seamless viewing experience.

Upon transitioning to Firefox, I have attempted to configure the browser to replicate this behavior using the Sidebery extension. However, even with the extension, new tabs are not recognized as active unless I explicitly switch to them, making it challenging to maintain the desired tab activation order.

I have explored various settings and experimented with the Sidebery extension but have not been successful in achieving the desired result. In contrast, the Yandex browser, with the "Switch to the previous active tab when closing a tab" option enabled, behaves in the manner I am accustomed to.

Could you please provide guidance on how I can configure Firefox to consider new tabs active immediately upon opening, regardless of whether I switch to them immediately?

For example, firefox is open in the background and when I click on a url from discord, it opens the link in firefox but does not bring the page to me, I need to minimize the discord.

When you add a new bookmark to a folder it's added at the end of the existing list.

Is there a way to make Firefox add it at the top of the list, instead?

I found an old answer, but, sadly, the extension granting my wish is no longer.

Also, I already know about sorting, but it's not what I need, because I'm doing a lot of manual bookmarks reordering and sorting will nullify it.

Seems to be a bug on Firefox on Android where the tabs don't show the right page. I haven't been able to track down exact steps to reproduce, but it happens regularly on my phone.

Having issues connecting to a website i normally use daily for many years, Don't have an issue when using MS Edge. Only having issues with this specific web page.

Server not found Hmm. We’re having trouble finding that site.

We can’t connect to the server at dashboard.sigwm.com.

If you entered the right address, you can:

   Try again later
   Check your network connection
   Check that Firefox has permission to access the web (you might be connected but behind a firewall)

Recently, when first logging into Facebook, the entries in my feed will just sit there and refresh for a while before finally settling in and stopping. Then when I start scrolling, I can only go so far and it starts doing it again. Rather peculiar action. Something to do with auto refresh? I don't encounter the issue when using Safari or Opera. Appreciate anything on this issue.

I keep getting Review Your Global Privacy Control preferences message, almost every time I start the browser. I have selected "Don't Allow" option many times and have also went and managed my privacy controls. But, the popup message won't stop coming.

How do I stop the popup message?

I have been Firefox/Mozilla user from the very early days but I am at a point where I have to stop using it because of this annoying popup message.
