When I enter a image in my eMail signature, Thunderbird forgets the path and only keeps the filename, making the image disappear.

I had to leave Thunderbird because every time I try and create a customized signature, as much as Thunderbird excels in that area, the image storage drops the filename's path every time.

Example:

image loaded: http://rich.allcorn.us/files/headshot.png

when I go back to it: headshot.jpg


It forgets the path, so the file doesn't show up in the eMail. I purposefully put it "on the web" so it could be accessed from anywhere!

When is Thunderbird going to fix this so I can leave Apple's mail program and go back to Thunderbird?

Most times, I would not even notice, but twice today, I noticed that the email body rendered before the header (From:, To:, Subject:, buttons, etc).

And in one email that arrived this morning, displayed no header until a considerable amount of time had passed. I suspect that there must have been some email content from the hosting server being reticent to arrive, or maybe not all, and it timed out.

Anyway, if there is a problem with the arriving email and content, it would look better if the header was there so that some action, other than closing the tab, could be actioned. Otherwise it looks like Thunderbird is not behaving correctly.

Even subsequent re-openings of the email show a significant delay. I kept a copy as an eml file, just in case.

I am trying to import the messages from a Thunderbird 102 profile into 115. The profile includes one gmail POP account. Importing the profile gets all the messages in Local Folders, but none of the ones associated with the POP account (Inbox/Sent/Drafts/Junk/Trash). Newly received messages go into the Inbox without a problem.

Tuhunderbird 115.0.1, 102.13.0, macOS 13.4.1

I'm so tired of, frustrated with, and annoyed by the reduced and very cramped text viewing area display in the new Thunderbird version as of July 223!! This is because the minimum line item display of emails is now three times the previous minimum of only 3 email lines!! And there appears to be no way to reduce that minimum!!

Hi This morning I was blessed with update 115 for Thunderbird. Not impressed. I have a couple of issues I hope you can help with.

1. The box that lists incoming messages is way too long, taking up over half the screen. I moved it up as small as it will let me. 2. The second question is the box in between inbox and the message (middle pane) is also way too large. Ideally, I would only like it to display the top line. Remove the to and subject line The attached screen shot hopefully will help you see the issue. Please note that on the bottom of the shot is probably 3/4 way down my screen with very little room to read the message. Perhaps 3 or 4 lines at best.

As of version 115.0 for 64bit, I am unable to send emails to Outlook.com. An error occurs saying:

Send Message Error Sending of the message failed. The message could not be sent because the connection to the Outgoing server (SMTP) smtp.office365.com timed out. Try again.

There are no issues sending emails to Outlook.com using a different mail client.

How can I customize 115 to have alternating colours for the background of each summary line?

I created the IMAP accounts. I defined in seetings a specific *.wav file to be played. When I receive a new message nothing happens. There is no also any notification in windows no indication of badger for incoming uread messages. All possible checks in windows have been made. When accounts are set tp POP everything is working fine.

Good morning,

My Thunderbird was just upgraded to the latest version (115). After opening it the first time, my inbox folder no longer showed the subfolders for each account. I then dragged a single inbox folder to the inbox, but instead of moving or linking the folder, it wiped everything that was in it. Nothing went to trash, it is just gone. Is there somewhere else I might be able to find these emails? It is an outlook account, and they don't seem to be on that server either. Thank you for any help.

Since upgrading Thunderbird version 115.1.0 (64-bit) the message pane turn on at what appears to be random times for no reason what-so-ever. I have the following extensions installed: EditEmailSubject MX Version 7.4 FiltaQuilla Version 4.0b2 Mail Merge Version 10.1.0

It is becoming very annoying to constantly need to disable it.

So, what's with the version 115 of TB? It constantly asks for the passwords of the accounts, although they are all present and working in the profile folder.

If the developer now thinks that I am creating everything again just because the 115 version no longer wants to read the old profile, he has cut it. WE users are the ones who work with it every day and the developer can't just decide what's better, WE users are the ones who have to deal with it, so make sure you get your Schrottige115 version up and running, because NO ONE will want to use it that way.

Sorry if it sounds harsh, but I'm pissed off, Mozilla has been driving TB and FDF more and more against the wall for years. NO improvements just crap.

115.3.1 (64-bit) on Win10 Taking over a minute to start up. NOT Add-On related. I have also booted Windows in Safe Mode and it took even longer. I often wish to refer to my email saves and this Delay is most tedious to say the least.

Would it be possible for me to Roll Back to the previous v115 ?

Uncertain as to the version ‘points’ of my previous install, but I keep up with most updates, so it would have been August’s version most likely.

Sorry for any typos; my aim has been dodgy since my last eye op.

Hi, I just got the update to Supernova 115.1 (from 114), and it's clear you guys have been doing a lot of work. Thanks. There are two issues I can't figure out from the UI or the docs:

  1. The standard text-only toolbar (File...Edit...View...Go...Events and Tasks...Tools...Help) is not at the top of the toolbar stack, where it should be...instead, it's below the tab-specific toolbar. I can't seem to change the stacking order.
  2. The font vertical separation in all of the main email panes is too small, and appears to be un-adjustable. This makes the email box view and the email list view much harder to read than before. Perhaps there's a setting for this in the about:config world?

I became excited about the hype. I downloaded 115 and ran it. Two things I immediately noticed, one is the icon is different, and the other is that the UI looks almost exactly, but not quite, like the old UI. Not that this is bad, I use TB everyday on my Mac and it is my email client. But first impressions were underwhelming especially after the hype. One thing I noticed that's an improvement is that TB now recognized my Mac address book so I no longer need Card Book. Other than that it's much ado about nothing.

If you want your 'Message List' to use alternative colour stripes often refered to as zebra style then I have put together some code and instructions on how to create the effect.

Obviously you may need to modify the actual colours used. The following works on a Light theme. The striping is white and pale grey. On hover the text is black on a pale blue background. On select the text is white on a light blue background, but strong enough to show white text clearly.
