If you type "% [search term]" in your search bar, it will try to search your existing tabs for any tabs that fit the criteria. The problem is, firefox is making odd decisions on what to display in the search results. I was under the impression that Firefox would prioritize the most frequently used tabs in the search results, but this no longer appears to be true, or the criteria used is more complex than that.

As an example, in the attached screenshot, i am searching for tabs with the keyword "Stellaris". But for some reason, Firefox refuses to show me any reddit tabs with "Stellaris" in them, and is instead showing a list of tabs that are much less frequently used.

Is there any way to get the search results to prioritize the most frequently used tabs, change what shows up in the search results, etc? I know i can type "stellaris reddit" to narrow down the search results, but i would prefer that the search results prioritize the msot frequently used tabs.

Using Firefox 115.7 ESR btw.

So, i transferred to my new PC I had a recovery key, and about a lifetime worth of passwords on my account. I exactly followed these steps:

Reset your password with your account recovery key

If you forgot your password and need to reset it, follow these steps.

   Click the Forgot your password? link on the sign-in page.
   Check your email and click the password reset link in it.
   Enter your account recovery key.
   Create a new password.
   Create a new account recovery key. 

Now, my recovery key became my new password and my account is blank. Great. Have a good time!

Yes, following your instructions I now can see and access the attachements. I cannot still opening them, only download them. It is not perfect but at least I can have access to the attachments without having to exit Firefox and go to Acrobat.

Recently my browser stopped opening in full screen. It opens in a little box that is usually partially off screen. I have not changed any settings and do not understand why this is happening. I maximize the window which usually has to be done twice (meaning I hit the maximize window twice to get it to go completely back to full screen). I have also tried dragging the corners of the window to maximum size, but the following day it will go back to not opening in full screen. If someone could help me with this, I would really appreciate it.

Update 123.0 deleted all my firefox data from logins.json. backup files are corrupted or have no data. No support article suggestions have worked. The .json files indicate that there is data, but appears blank in notepad, and wont load in json reader in firefox

I've been trying to reply to moderator "Phil" who requested information regarding Firefox crashing while on Youtube. When I press "Post reply" all I get is an error message:

An Error Occurred

Oh, no! It looks like an unexpected error occurred. We've already notified the site administrators. Please try again now, or in a few minutes.

It's important "Phil" gets my message as others may be affected my possible Youtube shenanigans. If possible, can you forward this message to "Phil": Unfortunately there are only two reports generated during the problems with Youtube:

The problem caused my system to stop responding forcing me to power cycle to clear my PC, so no reports could be generated. Hopefully these two will show what the problem is. In the meantime, can you check the reply system to make certain it's working properly?

Roboform does not load. I have reinstalled it and the toolbar does not load or does the roboform small icon.

Greetings. so I have been using this type of browser since netscape vs ie. enjoy and use firefox daily, when i can. there seems to be a weird process of constantly changing the software, and not allowing reliability. I can set for no updates, or only if i allow it, but firefox ignores me and updates anyway and then displays a new front page describing the mischief the coders have been up to. couple weeks ago, you broke it. dead. like a brick. switched to brave, there were a couple updates, you undid whatever you broke, fine. then a day or two ago, broke it again. not really a fun game. once i am able to move bookmarks over to brave, why do firefox? it takes forever to start, presumably while it sends all my browsing history and downloads to be examined for commercial potential. I can give fire fox a 2 or 3 minute headstart, hit brave, in 10 seconds i can use it, firefox still busy with industrial spying, or something. eating a sandwich? who knows. if there is any way to tell the coders to create a do not change, leave my damn browser alone because it works button, that would be nice. otherwise, its just a weird game for someone i guess, but i dont have time to play.....

i made a custom firefox colour setup for my desktop machine, and it doesn't have any option to save it- because of this, on my laptop which is synchronized to my desktop's firefox settings, it is not showing up at all and if i go to firefox colour it isn't there for me to add. so how do i DO this???

i do not want to maker my custom setup public so it is not available to all, it is my own setup using some of my own artwork which i do NOT want made public on the internet.

there MUST be a way to save it however and let my laptop's firefox also display it,m yes???

and on that topic, why isn't it just automatically synchronizing when everything else does?

I have tried using autofill for credit cards. The pop up to enter a password pops up and I fill that in. The credit card options are there and I click on the one I want and nothing fills in. I went to settings to turn off the request for authentication, unticked the box, and see no where to save that. When I refresh the screen, the box is once again ticked.

Are there any reports of erased history lately? Perhaps since v122.01? I had history that goes way back.

I few of my profiles have a month's worth I don't sync. I have these two profiles in particular that are quite distinct from one another. Nothing in common, but both only have history for the past two days. None of my related settings have been altered.

I tried replacing places.sqlite from backups, but unless they were backed up that way, it did not help.

I have the same problem https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1421734 it's not a pdf. If I want to print a shipping label from eBay using Firefox nothing happens if I try to make it bigger. I can make it smaller but it is too small to begin with. If I use Brave or Edge (using the same printer) it works I can adjust it and make it bigger up to 200 %. I have already reset the printer options in Firefox and tried when disabling all add-ons.

Hello dear Support-Team!

After updating Firefox 118.0.2, I loose all my pinned an not pinned tabs! After restarting the updated version, all pinned tabs shows a globe-symbol and the not-pinned tabs where empty. After an additional restart of firefox ALL tabs are gone.

What I tied so far: restoring the Firefox-profile from a backup -> no success. uninstalling firefox and install a fresh (newest) version and restoring the profile -> no success.

The only way to get the tabs back, is to uninstall firefox, restore the profile from backup and install the old version 118.0.2!!

Is there any reason, why this update fails? Is there any way to successful update Firefox, without loosing all my tabs??

Hi! Relaying this for another Firefox user. Whenever they go to Google Images, it seems like the images don't fully load. GIFs don't play, and it ends up showing the preview rather than the full image. This isn't happening on other sites like Bing. Any ideas what could be causing this? A uninstall and reinstall didn't help.

I want the tab button to stop navigating any web page. Im tired of the alt tab shortcut moving my focus around and forcing me to completely refresh a page just to interact with it again.

Please do not tell me to use about:config browser.toolbars.keyboard_navigation. It doesnt work because its not what im looking for. I want to disable the tab key in my browser. Period. 100% gone. Stop bothering me ever again type deal.

Is there a way to disable tab key navigation that doesnt require a year of coding experience with an obscure addon that probably doesnt work as of 10 updates ago?
