I use Firefox version 103, the old version that is perfectly compatible with an extension I always use. I love this old version, and I don't want to update it to the new version. But the update reminder pops up many times everyday. it's so annoying. I used "about config" to turn it off (see photo 2); it works a bit, but the popup still there once daily after the configuration. I want to turn it off permanently. Is there any way to do it? Hi jscher2000, I want to thank you for your advice concerning a problem I had downloading Firefox to my Windows 10 laptop. I tried to follow your advice but was not successful. In the end, I googled "what if Firefox doesn't install". It took me to a website, https://www.makeuseof.com/fix-firefox-not-installing-windows , which took me to an article entitled "8 Fixes to Try if Firefox Won't Install on Windows". I tried #1 and #2 without success. #3, Temporarily Disable Your Antivirus Software, worked. Firefox is up and running. Feel free to share this with anyone who has a similar problem. Hi, for months now, Mozilla, keeps crashing, or asking me to install new updates very frequently. Today it told me I have an old version (I do not) and that I need to create a new profile. I love your privacy policy but am about to give up your product. I have an IT dep and they were not able to help either. Best of luck fixing these bugs

I'm using Firefox for Windows and usually have a few set pages that appear every time I open a new window. Every now and again, I have to add, remove, or change one of these pages. The issue is that I have to see something like this whenever I want to change anything.

Naturally, whenever I open a new window in Firefox, this is automatically interpreted to open multiple pages. However, this way of displaying them is still inconvenient. I want to know if we can get something more like this.

Is there a way to edit the Settings UI to see a multi-line list with the ability to add, remove, or change these links individually? Thank you.

My Windows Task Scheduler contains an entry called "Firefox Default Browser Agent". If I delete it, it returns. If I disable it, it re-enables itself. Can't be modified either. How do I turn it off permanently?

I already have telemetry and automatic updates both turned off.

In about:config default-browser-agent.enabled is set to false

everytime you update firefox, i loose my personal toolbar that took me a long time to set up. how do i get it back without all the work? also, what happened to the printer icon in the main toolbar?

In the Microsoft Store there are all these updates for video extensions like "AV1 Video Extension". Should I be doing these updates? Do they make any difference to streaming video on the Firefox Browser?

My emails are threading up, even ones that have nothing to do with each other. I've tried 'collapsing threads' in the 'view' menu, but it doesn't seem to help. With so much threading going on, I can't even find some of the new emails that I am alerted to.

During my absence my house maid created a Google account for herself on my Firefox browser, which is confusing my browsing as it is also a default account. I wish to remove my maid's account but cannot find how. Please help. I am using Windows 10.

Is there a way I can disable the "Pop out this video" button on the video player itself but keep the toggle present in the url bar? I have attached the pictures of what I am talking about I don't like the pop out button appearing on the video everytime I try to use my mouse around the video player but like the option of picture in picture seems like a good option for me.

Currently if I try to disable the button from the menu after right-clicking, it also disable the button present in the url bar.

After a update my browser was running very slow, I'm not sure what I did but my whole browser, including history and bookmarks and add ons reverted back years. But I have a whole folder of Old Firefox Data which is from today.

How do I get this back on there and get everything back to normal?

I restarted my computer and when I booted Firefox up it looked completely different. I'm assuming they updated, but updates never impacted my settings before and in this case none of my sessions or history is left.

I logged in to my Mozilla account and that recovered my extensions, though not my toolbar settings.

The real issue is that all of my tabs and windows are gone. In History, "Recently closed windows" is greyed out and Recently closed tabs shows nothing but what's been opened since I restarted.

Is there any way to recover my history?

Resolved: Somehow a blank profile had been set as the default.

I am using Firefox 119.0.1 under Windows 10 Home Version 22H2 OS build 19045.3693

I had the page open in Firefox before the owner corrected the typo.

Immediately after the correction was online, all other browsers displayed the corrected version. But even now, hours later, after many resets by "Reload Tab", the Firefox tab still displays the typo-version.

I consider this to be a malfunction. "Reload tab" should bypass all caches, and reload the whole page directly from its server. - Is this a known bug? - If "Reload Tab" does not go to the source bypassing all caches, what doe it do? - Is there a workaround?
