Mon i phone et mon mac sont connectés à firefox avec le meme account. Mes mots de passe sont dans mon iphone, aucun mot de passe sur mon mac..., toutes les synchronisation sont activées!! Comment exporter mes mots de passe pour les charger sur mon mac ou plus simple ou faire en sorte que la synchronisation fonctionne entre les deux appareils.??

I've spent a long time tidying up the passwords on my main PC. Every so often I did a manual sync too. I also imported into Edge occasionally and I noticed a few sites' details there that I had deleted from FF. Strange! Anyway, I finished the tidy up and went to my Android phone (set up to sync) and did the sync there and it looked OK. I then had the idea to look here for the 'extra' one I had seen in Edge and sure enough it was there! I also noticed lots of others I had deleted from the 'Master'. Changes to passwords had been replicated successfully though. What is the logic for syncing in these instances? I then signed out of FF on the phone to stop the sync and deleted one that was common to both and then signed back in and synced - it did delete it from the PC when I synced that. This makes me nervous to delete them all from the phone when signed out and syncing upon re-connect. So, what is the safe way to make the password details from the PC be an exact copy on the phone - no extras?! My thoughts were to disconnect the phone (but hoped it would remove things), delete the details manually if required, sign back in and re-sync. But I don't want to risk the sync actually wiping out the contents of the PC! Thanks!

Since attempting to sync my desktop and mobile app, I've been observing (at times beside myself with frustration) consistent failure of the password manager to have logins available at time of need. In fact, when I go to find the saved passwords manually from settings>logins & passwords>saved logins, the page comes up blank. No saved logins, no passowords, nothing at all.

When it would auto sync or I would manually hit the sync button, it would hang and take more time than I was willing to spend watching to finish. Then there would be problems with web pages not saving current progress & rolling back tens of minutes to a previously seen point, as if I had scrolled up and/or hit the back button a few times. Or tabs would disappear and their site history ghosting me, as if I had never been there before (I suspect after I've spent time on another app & Firefox falls out of the phone's memory, but I'm only tangentially informed on how phone hardware operates and I'm making a somewhat educated guess here (the most dangerous kind)).

I have found a workaround, i.e. close and restart the Firefox app. But this is an understandably annoying solution to perform every time I need to log in to a website. Besides that it isn't supposed to work this way, this solution only works for an indeterminate time before the password manager once more eats lead and fails to perform its duty and the app must be manually restarted again.

I believe I've since turned off sync, but a quick check on mobile shows it was synced 3 minutes ago (though all the boxes under "choose what to sync" are unchecked), so I'm unsure if it's really off or if it's trying to sync nothing and this is where the problem has diverged from whatever started this disaster. I don't care about syncing anymore, I just want my mobile experience to once again be effortless. As much as possible. Within reason.

Firefox for iOS always worked with autofill until a couple of days ago. I cannot for the life of me get it to work. I deleted app, reinstalled, resynced and it still doesn’t work. I can see my passwords in the passwords section under privacy but it won’t autofill. I’m wondering if the latest update broke it.

Hello, I recently created a new sync account for work so I wouldn't have to use my personal sync account. I noticed after creating the new sync account it still retained my passwords from my personal account. Is it safe for me to delete all my personal passwords on the work account or will it also delete those passwords on my personal?

I had to reset my computer and lost the bookmarks there. When I reinstalled Fifefox I had to reset my password and lost my bookmarks associated with that email address. HOWEVER, I have firefox installed on my mobile phone with all bookmarks intact. Is there a way to get the bookmarks from my mobile to the laptop?

TL;DR: Make sure you're on the latest... turn Sync off on the computer that isn't showing the remote tabs, then turn Sync back on.

Details:

Three computers (Windows), a phone, and a tablet. Firefox 124.0.1.

Sync is enabled and generally seems to be working fine. But I just noticed, on one computer, that when I went to Firefox View, and clicked on "Tabs from Other Devices", that it was showing nothing, other than the, "Log into your Firefox Profile", which I was already logged in... so that was messed up.

Did a number of things, like checking the other computer, manually syncing from the other computer, coming back to this one, and telling it to manually sync. It also seemed to be stuck in syncing (a grayed button that said "Syncing...")

I looked, and there was an update available to 124.0.2, so I used this opportunity to upgrade.

When I came back in, I still didn't have the remote tabs showing up, so I turned off "Sync" entirely, but didn't log out of my Firefox account, and then turned it back on.

Now I'm seeing the remote tabs.

That's how I fixed it. I hope it helps. I see others having Sync problems, and getting terrible suggestions that are not helpful. In this case it's the simple thing that fixed it for me. Turn it off and turn it on again. If that doesn't work, unplug the computer from the wall and plug it into another outlet.  ;-) ( That's a joke for those of you with a sense of humor. )

in the recent days, I tried several times to get a new laptop synchronized with the Firefox bookmarks on my main PC. I did it already successfully with my old laptop and with my mobile phone some time ago. But now I have problems, because I cannot confirm my log-in on the new laptop. I am told that I get a mail with the verification code, which I need to enter in 5 minutes. But the mail is alsways received some hours (!!!!) after intitiating it. My email-account is with arcor.de (which is also with vodafone). I found already the advice on your pages, to enter firefox (respective mozilla) on a white list of the provider. But there is no whitelist existing. What can I do now? The five minutes limitation is killing the possibilty to verify my firefox account, if the mail needs hours to reach me. Other mail are coming rather in time.

Hello all. I have a strange problem, sorry for the length. So I have a windows pc, and 2 android devices, a cell and a tablet. Sync has not really worked well for over 3 years, and I'm trying yet one more time to fix this. I honestly don't believe it can. Each device is pretty much on its own, so I do not see all of my articles/tabs on all 3. If you were to take a look at each, the tabs are all different. I've tried everything. So let me ask this: is there a way to manually do this? I guess I'll just have to do that. I've signed in and out on both android devices, hit the sync button on all 3, looked for updates on all 3, etc. My cell didn't even show up on my pc for 3 years. I don't want to mess with that one yet {cause it's windows}, I've gone into settings, tried what the articles suggest. Nothing. Weirdly, my bookmarks are fine {thank goodness}. Please help. I think b/c I have an old Firefox acct on my old, locked iPhone 11,that when this iPad synced, with info on iPhone 11 from back when I had computer (Lightning Rod) so this is causing major lockouts because passwords, sign In info, etc don’t match? The 11 never really got used b/c Verizon couldn’t keep signal to phone and automated system kept shutting me down while the higher ups kept trying but eventually I had to give up and return to Spectrum but Verizon Automation also reported me th credit bureau- which we sent a rebuttal to the huge charge but only learned after time to dispute had long passed that b/c we didn’t think to send return receipt- Who kne? Well not only didn’t I get my $600 advanced payment returned and I kept begging those techs to simply give up, send a return box b/c when I agreed to the contract, on recording, I specifically stated that if what he ( salesman agreed to, that is, that I wouldn’t need to pay separately for Spectrums signal then yes, I agree to the contract… Spectrum, unfortunately, prior to CoVid, lied about upstate NY having 100% coverage and thus other companies suffered losses b/c they depended on wireless signal just as CoVid really took off(sorry for rant!) So, the 11 really didn’t get used b/c Verizon management understood the serious threat to me being terminal but the automated system couldn’t be overridden, and thus my question to you is…How can I separate, or stop the syncing with the outdated info that I suspect is confusing and driving me insane when the Firefox for iOS is getting separate info? But, suspecting I’m an intruder? Lastly, the old 11 has Now added newer (recent info) and I simply don’t know the info when being asked, nor do I know if both the one Android temporary (pay as you go phone…will cooperate with separate platforms as well as apps but it was never this confusing when I used Firefox before yet being much more deteriorated medically, I simply am desperately trying to protect my privacy until Apple can find a way to help get my watch back monitoring me while I temporarily have the Android so if something obvious happens - which btw, when the watch literally saved my life, nobody knew before that occurred that my body was no longer able to make a life sustaining trace mineral and the other requirements to absorb in order to live but b/c the watch was monitoring and SOS, at the hospital, my cardiologist was able to have tests that they instantly started IV’s saving me and Now although the watch isn’t working- I simply can only pray that b/c Apple is doing what they can, at least if I get some kind of pain or unable to breathe as was the case that day… but then I have lots of allergies so that’s what I and others thought was issue… but with the American ingenuity of what Apple has started, the ability to prevent deaths that could have been prevented, yet I’m hitting a huge brick wall with Spectrum arguing and putting my life at risk denying that Apple could have got my watch going but told me to call Spectrum because even with my phone dying from a fall, I’m paying out the ying Yang not only for cellular to not only go to my broken iPhone but am also paying for cellular to my watch which luckily I did get with its own cellular. But enough of the horror story…is there any advice you can provide while Apple has taken lead, to protect me from the Android but more importantly help me with the old info, of the 11 vS new of 14 which Apple has jumped further in to prevent the unthinkable from possibly occurring. I’d be lying if I tried to say I’m not frustrated with Spectrum, but I’m not interested in dying to enrich my heir…I still have things…a long long bucket list, but I’m just trying to keep myself and what is still working safe. You guys are wizards with this stuff… Please let me know if you can help separate out but possibly not make me more vulnerable. Thanks for what you do in trying to help people like me who don’t know much about what it entails nowadays to utilize the access, yet not be further victimized or experiencing more stored info.

I have two computers which names starts with "UNIT" and followed by some numbers that differs. If I want to send tab from mobile to one of them I cannot determine which is which because device name is cut after 4 characters. See attached screenshot. Thanks

Like I suppose any user of older systems (Macs...) that cannot be updated to a newer OS version and thus locked-in to an older Firefox browser I received an email today:

"Don’t stop the sync. Upgrade your Firefox before March 31st."

Why, why, why??

Why would Mozilla take away this last little bit of usefulness after already having abandoned all updates to the browser itself? Why actively "fix" something that ain't broke in a why that does actually break it?

And don't give me the sacrosanctuous security argument please ;) - I never synced sensitive information, not even my browsing history. If security *is* the reason it should be hardly more difficult to disable/disallow just the syncing of that information at the server end. We're clearly speaking at a change on that end anyway, otherwise everyone NOT running the very latest version would be urged to update, not just users of v78 and older.

Anyway, I'm sadly aware of the fact this little rant or even a concerted action isn't likely to change anything, so what options are there? Any suggestions for browser extensions that provide syncing of bookmarks and maybe open tabs or even browser preferences?

PS: I'm posting this from another older system currently still running a Ubuntu 14.04 version that is in fact hardly younger than my Mac's OS but still enjoys Firefox updates...

I use synching between phone and desktop. I deleted some bookmarks on my phone and synced phone and desktop Firefox. I would expect that the deleted bookmarks also disappear on my desktop FF under "Mobile Bookmarks", but nothing changes. Worse than that, after I added one more bookmark on my phone and synced, the deleted bookmarks showed up again on my phone. It seems the not deleted bookmarks on desktop are transferred again to my phone. This is actually not what I want...

I have an old Firefox Mozilla account, but I can't recall the primary email associated with it. However, I do know that my current email is listed as a secondary email on that account. I would like to unlink my current email from that account. What steps should I take to do so? Thank you
