Firefox spontaneously stopped working. When attempting to launch, got message "Profile Missing Firefox profile cannot be loaded. It may be missing or inaccessible." However the profiles folder had not been moved: (Library/Application Support/Firefox/Profiles). I tried reinstalling Firefox. But got the same message when attempting to launch ("Profile Missing Firefox profile cannot be loaded. It may be missing or inaccessible.") even though the profile folder was still there (Library/Application Support/Firefox/Profiles) and containing all of the usual files. I then removed all Firefox files from my hard drive before reinstalling again. Still no luck (and still the same "profile missing" message). However, this time the Library/Application Support/Firefox/ folder only contained two subfolders: "Library/Application Support/Firefox/Crash Reports" and "Library/Application Support/Firefox/Pending Pings" The "Library/Application Support/Firefox/Profiles" was now missing. I don't know why a new Profiles folder (and profile) would not be created, but in any case, I had saved my old Profiles folder on a separate hard drive before uninstalling Firefox previously. I copied this old Profiles folder into the "Library/Application Support/Firefox" folder but I'm still getting the message "Profile Missing Firefox profile cannot be loaded. It may be missing or inaccessible." when attempting to run/launch Firefox. This is a mystery. I have read all of the "Working with Profiles" articles on this forum as well as the "Install and Update" articles but have not been able to find a solution. Running OS 11.6.4 Thanks

I have been using Firefox as my browser for as long as I can remember and yesterday it became semi-unresponsive (would not load). Then after restarting my computer and doing everything else I could think of - I got it to load and my previous session was restored. All the tabs were there . . . but none of them would respond. In CONTROL PANEL I even tried REFRESHING Mozilla Firefox short of Uninstalling. (That did nothing.) I tried downloading the latest version. It installed . . . , but, the old one is GONE. The new one DOESN'T WORK. In the search box it suggests youtube, facebook, etc. . . . NONE OF THEM WORK.

Hello dear firefox developpers.

Recently i realized firefox is not saving cache where it used to. that happens some versions ago to now.

By a sudden necessity, i need to access images stored in cache by facebook.

however, firefox has moved its cache, and have no idea where it stores it now.

the second point, is, if there is any way of "surf" cache, im not sure but i wonder, the cache is not what used to be, a collection of files related to what you surfed in the web, videos, htmls, pictures, etc.

I seems the cache now works in a different way, making solid archives composed of many images-videos..., instead of separate files for every image-video.

So, in a brief, 2 things:

- where is cache now - how can i access files in it, (images videos ..)

I am having trouble getting individual autofill entries in Firefox on Linux Mint deleted. There are a few I have in some lists for a couple different websites that have some spelling mistakes. I have a few hundred of them that are regularly used and I really do not want to clear them all and start over.

Highlighting them and hitting the delete key is not working, and using shift-delete (that works of Mac) is also not working. I have been searching and cannot seem to find an answer to why this is not working for my with Linux. Can anyone provide a solution or point me in the right direction?

I received three e-mail from friends telling me they had received e-mail from me with photos attached. I have not sent these. Now my e-mail account is blocked from sending messages as it say my e-mail may contain spam or phishing messages.

I should also say that one friend said they had also received messages in the past from other friends saying the same thing and enclosing photos.

How can I get my e-mail back and how do I make it safe?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hello. Is it possible to make Firefox Portable browser for Mac? The bottom line is to give customers a ready-made customized assembly with the necessary plugins and settings. I know what they do for Windows, but I haven't seen it for Macbooks. Maybe there is some program or script to create a portable version?

in the generals tab on the left in Firefox where it says application i do not see anything that says where and how to play videos or which application plays them i am sending a snip it photo to show you. and video files from firefox and facebook will not load to my desktop I have tried multiple video add on and nothing. y default player is Windows media player

Firstly, Firefox made me log in to every social media site again. Normally I log in automatically. Facebook and messenger - I use the same passwords that work on Chrome and my phone but on Firefox it says the passwords are expired. I had to change my passwords because ONLY Firefox wouldn't let me log in.

I have had several email accounts (different services and users) in my Thunderbird profile, but I think the file is too big now. Would like to put the separate email accounts in separate profiles including any respective local folders. How do I do this? For example, I would maintain my current default profile with all the email accounts but in the copy I would remove all the services but one and that would then became a separate, dedicated profile. I could then go back to the original profile and delete all but another service. save that as a separate profile. Do this repeatedly until I had my main or default profile separated into the various services at which point I would no longer use that default profile and possibly deleted it entirely.

Recently (version ~100) sites that I visit are being added automatically to my homepage as shortcuts. I've tried all different options under Settings -> Homepage but no matter what it adds them.

Attached I have a screenshot of my settings. The only two sites that should appear on the homepage are the 'Resnet' and 'WRGA' but whenever I browse it adds the additional sites and I have to keep going back and deleting every single entry one at a time.

This is a new issue for me. I don't have any plugins installed. I have tried clearing FF cache, data, and even reinstalled. I also tried disabling FF sync.

To get search results you should not need to log in. There are a few reasons you may not be getting search results, but the most common reason I have found is that the browser you are using has pop-up/ad blocker enabled. This is especially true when using the Firefox browser. If possible, you may try either disabling the ad-blocker/pop-up blocker or switching browsers.? I am trying to research info in the NHHS ( New Hampshire-genealogy)

Since the newest release, firefox doesn't refresh the images in the website. Every time need to use "CTRL-F5" to refresh the images and the content. It seems don't update the cache.

I have an issue with my firefox languages. Often it will switch to another script entirely (facebook pages, google pages, now my bookmark toolbar and browser) In my preferences, it is set to english. Can you please advise?
