Hey I'm having some issues downloading files and I noticed that my menu button up at the top of the screen isn't quite working either do you know what the issue could be?

Don't honestly how and why I am here...but a question has popped into my broken brain...recently been diagnosed , broken brain-multiple head trauma and vengeful Family,dead dad passed and I inherited womanly version of the male dominated Ankylosing spondylitis, no other charitable help. Just forever blessed, generational pain is real, women can inherit this ugly terminal autoimmune disease. I know this looks idk, phishing? I am not.My question, lead me here. So WTH, I'll ask. I lost a dear loving soul many years ago and want or add a meaningful song if his family still has the memorial page up. Just winging it, wanted to write not just for me(it's me of course). The song is about how much I love him and sorry, that I hurt him. Though Karma has played a rotten hand and hell happened to me. The song says beautifully, he is with me and well. Is that possible? Or I have to ask permission, it's impossible for me to pay, if I could, I would. If not can I cut/paste portion of lyric? Again, ask permission? Because I am poor, but the song might catch attention of his soul. Passing heaven and checking things, it's his 10years since he died. Ok that's all. If not, crayon to post saying, I am sorry and miss him daily. That yes, Karma has truly plagued and harassed my sorry broken brain. I hope that this question, made some sense. All I want is okay to play a song, and won't be noticed copyrighted? as I adbandoned mainland, caught a few plagues and pray Social security sees I am delusional. Ok, stop.my ramblings. Hi! Since updating Firefox to 98.0 I've been experiencing sudden performance drops(lags/freezes/stutters) while scrolling. `about:support` page shows that compositing is `WebRender`. The issue occurs with fresh profile without any addons installed and also in `firefox-nightly`(100.0a1). However, scrolling is totally smooth in 97.0.2 and earlier versions of Firefox.

What changes in Firefox 98 could cause this, and are there any settings in `about:config` I can try to tune to solve the issue? These are the settings I've always used, and, as I mentioned, scrolling was smooth before 98.0:

gfx.webrender.all = true general.smoothScroll.mouseWheel.durationMaxMS = 400 general.smoothScroll.mouseWheel.durationMinMS = 200 mousewheel.min_line_scroll_amount = 40 mousewheel.system_scroll_override.enabled = false

I was tracking a package on the UPS website. I decided to sign up for their My Choice program. After I did that I could no longer track packages I just get the error "We are unable to complete your tracking request at this time. Please try again later.". I contacted them, UPS, and they had me try several things and the only one that would work is to use Chrome. Fire Fox will work if I use a private window. Whew do I go to fix this?

I'm using Firefox Version 98.0.2 on Ubuntu 21.10 with Wayland and Gnome 40.4.0. I choose a larger cursor size from Ubuntu's Settings->Accessibility->Cursor Size. However, in Firefox the cursor always displayed in the smallest size.

The Send Tab/Link to Device feature only works in one direction, from iOS to MacOS. iOS to iOS never receives, although the popup says it sent. I'm using Firefox 98 on MacOS and iOS. I have a Windows 10 PC which can't receive or send tabs/links as well but I'll limit it to the Apple devices for the moment.

Sync and notifications are enabled on Laptop, iPhone, and iPad. I've de-synced and re-synced each device separately and together. I've attempted to send between each device separately and all together.

Neither iOS device can receive tabs/links from one another, nor send to each other. Laptop can receive tabs/links from both iPhone and iPad, but not send to either.

Each time I re-sync an iOS device I get a notification on the Laptop saying that "this computer is now connected with Firefox iOS". But still nothing works.

I don't want the pdf to save to disk without my will when I open a pdf file from any website. Fire Fox saves the file first, then opens it for reading. How to change it? I want to read the pdf first and then decide what to do with it. This works similarly in Edge. FF is my main browser, I wouldn't want to change that, but I have too much garbage on my disk. every pdf is saved first, completely unnecessary.

Firefox 98.0.1 will not load some web pages that other browsers will. I get a message about Network Protocol Error with the option to "Try Again" which hasn't worked. I've tried many of the fixes suggested here but nothing changes. If I copy the link Firefox won't open and paste it in Brave or Opera the link loads fine. I don't want to quit Firefox but I can't spend time every day trying to fix it either.

I've selected an option to open PDF's in Firefox for preview. And if I wanted to download the PDF after preview, I simply clicked the downloab button from the preview app/tab. The files were downloaded with default filename and to the downloads folder without prompts. But since a while ago the dialog where the save location must be selected and filename given for the file opens up after the click of the download button.

How can I change it back to the previous behaviour without having to input filename and select the file download directory?

I want to open online PDFs in Acrobat. I've modified the setting is in Firefox to "Always ask," yet when I click on a PDF it opens as it should AND Firefox automatically downloads the file to the Downloads folder even though that destination is greyed out in settings and the radial button for "Always Ask" is selected. How can I block this activity in either Firefox or in the registry.

NOTE: ALL OF THE SETTINGS IN FIREFOX SAY "ALWAYS ASK." This a software bug in Firefox, not a user switch setting. This activity began today (March 11, 2022) after months of normal, expected activity. I've reset Firefox and I've done a complete uninstall and clean install and this still happens.

I installed Rust on my laptop and want to browse to the documentation which is installed at file:///home/lochlann/.rustup/toolchains/stable-x86_64-unknown-linux-gnu/share/doc/rust/html/intro.html. I try to open this in Firefox and this fails with the message: Access to the file was denied

The file at /home/lochlann/.rustup/toolchains/stable-x86_64-unknown-linux-gnu/share/doc/rust/html/intro.html is not readable.

   It may have been removed, moved, or file permissions may be preventing access.

I have read permissions on the file. No matter, it fails. I try to open the file using Firefox and navigate the directory structure rather than typing in the location. The file opens in the browser, the location is listed as file:///run/user/1000/doc/1f137432/index.html. Can you explain to me why Firefox cannot render a file that is where i put it and has appropriate permissions yet can render the same file where I did not put it? I have always been a fan but this looks more like a virus than I am comfortable with.

Ever since yesterdays (3/8/22) update I am having trouble with our wordpress page builder function. it works fine in Chrome browser, but not in firefox. can you tell me if there is a setting in the browser to update.

hi..please see attached image..I'm wondering if I did something to cause this. I think I clicked on the update FFN notification that regularly appears in the upper right-hand corner or my laptop screen. I then restarted the computer. then this error. I did the FF "refresh" and that seems (so far) to have fixed the problem, but it wiped my settings :( any suggestions or thoughts appreciate..thx Matt

104.0a1..what FFN is showing as my current version..

I like the button that shows the status of anything I elect to download (e.g. an image to put in an error report).

However about a week ago I started getting a pulldown style display in addition to the little status icon. Is there any way to shut that off? It's annoying.

Updating to version 98.0 onwards Firefox has started saving a copy of every pdf file I view (open) in my downloads folder.

My settings have not changed:

Tools->Settings->General->Applications: - pdf (application/download): Always ask - pdf (application/force-download): Always ask - pdf (application/pdf): Use Adobe Acrobat DC - pdf (application/x-download): Always ask

And when the "ask" dialog pops up, I choose "open".

I have tried all standard methods/troubleshooting, including resetting the handlers.json file.

The only way to avoid getting a copy in the downloads folder is if I choose "Open in Firefox" (application/pdf) instead of "Use Adobe Acrobat DC".

Any solution to this?

I've always used Firefox browser instead of Microsoft Edge, and I would like to continue using Firefox. However, it will not run in its current form under Windows 11. Does Mozilla plan to keep it compatible with Windows? I would like to keep using Firefox.

I don't need any images, you know the problems ... Freezes, no internet access.
