Dear all, Windows-XP SP3 - I did upgrade Firefox from 3.6.x to 9.0.1 - every thing is working as before - except that Firefox doesn't ask to save a login any more! Even existing saved password are some times not working as usual. All setting are correct - no exception list active.

Why does Firefox 9.01 use such excessive memory that my a/v program issues a warning? This problem is going to run Firefox users to another browser.

It makes no sense for so much memory to be used. This has been my favorite browser, but this gives me second thoughts. I see that I'm not the only one. 600+MB just to vie… (read more)

It makes no sense for so much memory to be used. This has been my favorite browser, but this gives me second thoughts. I see that I'm not the only one. 600+MB just to view my home page? I must close browser to regain memory, but it is sucked right back out in minutes. This is a serious problem when you consider that it will cause people to shy away from Firefox. I would rather see you succeed rather than fall to IE or Chrome.

My Firefox 10.0 has crashed and completely locked up (reverts to "This is embarrassing" page, but any mouse click -- either "restore" or "new session" immediately generates greyed-out "not responding" state.)

I have uninstalled, then re-installed, the program from your main website page, but this results in no change -- Firefox, upon launch, immediately returns to "embarrassing" page, as above. I have no crash ID to provide, no current info found in APPDATA Mozilla folder.

I assume there is a file (or files) resident on my hard drive that is not being removed by your uninstall program, which I need to locate and scrub before again attempting a fresh install. Can you advise/help? I know that my bookmark file is saved and retained when Firefox is uninstalled -- is there a file of plugins that is also saved and re-installed? If so, where is this information to be found? Do I need to delete my current plugins file to resolve my problem?
