I have Windows 10 with outlook 365. I just downloaded Thunderbird 115.7.0.

When i try to use the import tool, it says "No profile"

I need my addresses!!

Firefox regularly forces me to restart the browser because of background updates being executed. When loading a new page I get: "Restart to Keep Using Firefox - An update to Firefox started in the background...". (see image below) Background updates of Firefox are disabled in the browsers preferences. (see image below) After restarting the browser, I actually noted, that the version is still the same as before (Noticed this the first time today, when taking the screenshot). (see image below) Anyway, it's a really annoying fact which made me and some colleagues almost leaf Firefox, even though I have been forever.

What is causing this issue and how can I stop it?

System:

• Windows 10
• Firefox 122.0.1 (and prior versions)
• Reproducible on other machines
• Machines are not managed remotely

I use Owl to receive my emails on Thunderbird. This has been working fine, but stopped round about my renewal date. I have re-added all my account details and can get the data to come up, but it doesn't stay. Every time I close Thunderbird, so all the folders and emails disappear too. Please help. I have tried contacting the Owl Support several times by email, but they have not replied!

Hi jscher2000, I want to thank you for your advice concerning a problem I had downloading Firefox to my Windows 10 laptop. I tried to follow your advice but was not successful. In the end, I googled "what if Firefox doesn't install". It took me to a website, https://www.makeuseof.com/fix-firefox-not-installing-windows , which took me to an article entitled "8 Fixes to Try if Firefox Won't Install on Windows". I tried #1 and #2 without success. #3, Temporarily Disable Your Antivirus Software, worked. Firefox is up and running. Feel free to share this with anyone who has a similar problem. I wish I knew! Problem seems to with name I have for my account with Firefox. I see p348brogden, I think it should be peter.brogden3 but I may totally wrong. I cannot get loading of WPS365(?) to happen.

I deleted Firefox from my Windows 11 computer because it was having issues. I reinstalled but I did not get back the same settings I have on my laptop. I have tried to do a complete uninstall and remove all Firefox files but, there are files attached to my Avast antivirus that I can't delete. Also when I down load it wont Sync. Firefox is my browser of preference and I do not want to use another browser. I should also note that Firefox has been completely removed from program files, program files(x86) as well as program data but there are still file in Avast and Windows. See picture attached. Help I really love Firefox

I'm using a Mac with OS 11.7.9, Thunderbird 115.7.0, my provider is Earthlink. There has been a problem recently where Thunderbird won't download my messages. I open Tbird, log in and the blue bar at the bottom stays on for a while then goes off, no email. If I hit the cloud button in the upper left corner of my Tbird window, it shows my email at the bottom of the screen, says downloading from host. It sometimes just shuts down, or will show how many messages there are to download and then shuts down, or shows the number of messages to download with the blue light bar at the right at the bottom of the page just scrolling without downloading the messages. Usually it just shows it has contacted the host, shows the number of messages it is going to download and just turns off in a few seconds. I tried clearing out messages from the Earthlink Webmail, in case there was a message causing the error, cleared a bunch of messages out of my Tbird inbox, deleted the messages built up in trash, cleared the caches of both Tbird and Firefox. I've used Tbird for years on the same computer I'm using now. Had this same problem a couple weeks ago, took a number of the same steps as per above, shut the computer down and restarted and Tbird was operating normally again until yesterday where the same problem started up again.

I just upgraded to v115 and the tabs I have open when closing TB are restored but all are the first folder in my folder bar. The folders I had open in those tabs are lost. The first few times it opened the folder at the top of my folder bar in all the tabs, now it opened that folder in the first tabs and the other tabs are completely blank. Is there a way to fix this please?

So, I installed a new hard drive about a week ago and while re-installing things I also re-installed the Firefox Browser 64- bit. Strangely, it seems like the files did not install itself in the right areas or the files installed did not install themself in the right or normal places. It does work, but for some reason I don't see it's program files? Is this normal or something that happens?

Anyways, I've backed-up my bookmarks, and I am going to uninstall it, re-boot, and re-install it and see what happens I guess. Or should I uninstall Firefox and its Profile Folders also, etc, and than re-install it?

Upon finishing setup of Thunderbird for my work email addresses (IMAP on a server here in the building) I am getting all of my emails, but they are all marked as read any time I close and re-open the program. If I keep Thunderbird open it will push them through as unread until I open them as you would expect it to do normally.

I've experienced this on both a Spectre and a Thinkpad, so I don't believe it's the machine. The only thing these have in common that my others do not is that I have let the client automatically detect the settings on these two machines and on the others I copied over any settings along with the logins, like port or what have you. I'm not a network guy.

I haven't yet had time to delete the accounts and try setting them up individually, because by the time I open this and remember I'm already working. I'm hoping there's just something I can uncheck somewhere, because I use different machines for different purposes and accounts and having everything marked as read all the time is a problem.

I am trying to set up my Yahoo account with Thunderbird. I enter the email ad password and nothing happens. There are no popups. Just the checking password. I also tried generating an app password from yahoo and using it and it didn't work either

I am setting up Thunderbird on a new computer. I have installed the most recent version of TB. I have different att/yahoo emails that are separate att/yahoo accounts and not linked. When I set up the first account, it downloads all folders and emails perfectly. However, when I set up the next account, it will only download the same folders/emails from the first account. They are both set up as IMAP with unique usernames and passwords. I had the same issue when I transferred the TB profile from the old computer. I have no issues with different google email accounts. I have uninstalled TB and deleted all folders with no change when setting it up again. I have cleared all cookies on all browsers and closed them. Any solutions?
