Hi I have been using tasks in thunderbird for a while. It seems to me that Tasks 「description」 part use html(with some format), unlike mail body where I can change to pure text.

※reason I have problem with this - If I copy from browser/rich text editor(like word), it brings in extra font - sometimes I need to press 「Enter」 twice to add a newline

Recently rcvd a pair of reminders from my/our calendar (attached). When I attempted to Dismiss/Dismiss All, the reminder dialog remained open. There was no hint of any activity related to the dialog response at all. I closed the dialog using the upper right corner X and shortly thereafter the dialog reappeared. Once the dialog reappeared, I attempted to Snooze/Snooze All. Again, there was no hint of any activity.

  1. TB is up-to-date @ v102.4.0 x64.
  2. The workstation was restarted just to be sure something else related to the current Windows session was not the cause.

Anyone else experienced this recently or have suggestions on possible ways to remedy it?

Hallo, i've updated my Thunderbird to 91.8.1 on my Kubuntu 18.04 Lini9x machine. I have some *.ics files attached as calendars via ftp (ftp://192.168.1.1/Kalender/xxx.ics). After the update Thunderbird/Lightning tries to open them in firefox.

Every time Thunderbird/Lightning syncronises the calendars, different tabs occur in Firefox trying to open the files. Thanks a lot in advance, Gruß

Is there any way to get of duplicate scheduled items in the Calendar? Everything is duplicated! I'm not sure how they got there but it might have happened when I was trying to fix a differenct problem. Can I disconnect from the Google Calendar then reconnect?

I cannot see the description for a lot of the events in my calendar when there are large attendee lists. In this example the attendee list is so large I cannot even resize it to see the description. There needs to be a way to scroll the event window as a whole when the content doesn't all fit, or alternatively a way of collapsing the attendee list.

I am getting old, my vision is much weaker than it used to be and now I have what is commonly referred to as "Eye Floaters." There's nothing that can be done to fix that, but with dark themes I can usually not see them. Due to a bug (or feature, if you prefer) in the Windows 10 Scaling and Layout settings, once you change them, there's no going back, at least that I have found. Low vision forced me to try to increase the font size in Windows, and in the (seemingly irreversible) process, I set Scaling to 150%. That fixed the problem of text being too small, but it also affected many programs in a negative way. Everything is waaay too big. For example, the menu bar and overall page header in Firefox was massive, taking up nearly a third of the top of my monitor screen. It did the same thing in Chrome only worse. The page footer was almost as big and between the two it left about two inches in the middle to view a website's content. This was very annoying to say the least.

I found a fix for Firefox, by changing the ui.textScaleFactor to 100. However, that did not work for Thunderbird. I found a way to fix it, by going back to Thunderbird 102, and now the email and address book are fine, and the calendar works fine, except for the colors with really bother me. I can't read the screen without looking away to the right of the screen. This is because the colors are too bright, and that is in a dark theme. I don't even want to look at a light theme. It would probably blind me.

Here's what I have. The 1st image is what it looks like, and the 2nd is what I would like to make it look like. Is it possible to do that? Please excuse the low quality color replacement on the 2nd image...

My email host (Epik) recently removed their calendar server, hosting9.epik.com, and switched it over to a new URL. I removed all my network calendars and saved passwords for hosting9.epik.com, and added the new calendars with the new URL. However, every few minutes I get a pop-up (four, actually, one for each calendar account) asking me to provide my credentials for hosting9.epik.com. Of course my credentials no longer work and these modal dialogs block progress until they are all closed via the "X". This process repeats every few minutes and makes Thunderbird virtually impossible to use.

Can you please help me remove any/all references to hosting9.epik.com in my Thunderbird settings? I have removed the saved passwords and calendar accounts, and none of my email accounts' servers (IMAP and SMTP) refer to hosting9.epik.com. If there is somewhere else to look, please let me know. Is there some settings file I can edit on disk to remove these references, that are not available via the GUI settings? If not, I fear this may be a bug causing Thunderbird Calendar to connect to deleted servers.

Subscribed ICS calendar stopped loading - 9 others okay

I have 10 subscribed calendars to sync and all but 3 are from different sources. myical.ics, Hawks.ics and F1-2023.ics are from the same source (a folder on my web site - www.peterashby.com/events/). Hawks.ics and F1-2023.ics work fine, as do the other 8, but myical.ics does not display (so I don't know if it syncs or not). This only started happening yesterday. myical.ics syncs perfectly in google calendar and passes a couple of ics validation tests. I tried a new profile but the problem remains the same.

Any ideas please ?

The Today Pane is showing no events. The events show fine in the Calendar mode, but not in the Today Pane when set to Events.

I tried using Troubleshoot mode and it made no difference.

I have version Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64; rv:102.0) Gecko/20100101 Thunderbird/102.15.1

Right clicking anywhere in the Events area of the Today Pane does nothing at all. Right clicking in the Tasks area does show a menu, but nothing in the menu has anything to do with Events.

I'm getting duplicates of calendar items using the Provider for Google Calendar whenever I enter an event in Thunderbird. This doesn't happen when the events are posted elsewhere, on a Google Calendar. When I'm about to enter a new event, I can see a line labeled "Calendar" that gives me 3 choices ... 2 of them are the same, like xxxxx@gmail.com and the other is GMAIL. I have 2 gmail accounts sharing on three devices ... my laptop, my phone and my wife's iPad. Once I've finished and closed the event, I wait a bit and I get the duplicated item beside it. When I right-click on an event that I've put into Thunderbird, I see a line that says "Organizer:" with my gmail address. I don't see anything like that when clicking on a duplicate that has popped up. There is also a Related Link ... https://calendar.google.com/calendar/u/0/event?eid=X2M5ajYyZTluNnRpajBiOWo2OWg2YWI5a2NkaGphYmIyYzhzNjRiOW02cGozaW9wcGNkaW04b2hnY2tfMjAyNDAxMTFUMTgzMDAwWiBnaGNoYXJ0ZXJzQG0 ... but it comes up as "requested URL not found on this server". Dear All,

I'm moving away from proprietary platforms and am setting up Thunderbird to manage my calendars. My calendars are hosted on a Synology and synced via caldav.

Sync seems OK, but interface-wise, I cannot find a way to have my events showing their location, directly from the calendar view (even daily).Clicking on the event, the location shows, but I really need to see them directly from the day or week view (I'm a teacher, so at a glance, I need to know in which class my next lesson is).

Is there a way to set this up, or a feature to be requested?

I have followed all of the instructions by Toad-Hall (as far as I know ) for making categories in my calendar different colors (instead of the small bar at the right).

I have made sure that the legacy is not false I have opened Profile, added folder called chrome, copied the text given into folder called userChrome.css (this was saved as txt, which I changed to css).

I then started Thunderbird and still find that I cannot get full color in my events.

What have I done incorrectly? (I am on a Mac running Big Sur). Thunderbird version is 91.12.0
