I frequently have difficulty when I need to make plain-test copies of web pages. These are pages that only allow "Select All" to select parts of pages, so that important parts of the pages cannot be selected, or so that a large number of select-and-copy cycles are required to copy the information on a webpage. The Firefox extensions that I have tried like the old "right to click" do not seem to help much. With old versions of Windows, I would use print-to-file for a generic plain-text printer, but that does not provide a readable file on Win 10.

when I receive a typed Email, The print is not visible. I have tried going into preference to reset defaults, but the setting reverts to what was previously there. White for color rather than black. Allan

I've been using Thunderbird for years, always storing message on my machine. My local profile folder is now 2.3GB with 14,191 files in 688 folders. I suspect there is a lot of "orphaned" junk there. Most suspicious are hundreds of folders and files in subfolders named Cache and Cache.Trash, all dated in 2017. There is a cache2 folder that appears to be current.

I also have several other folders/files with dates (modified) back in 2017 and 2018, apparently no longer in use. I'm migrating to a new machine and would like to avoid junk if it's really junk. Is there a "cleanup" tool, or any guidance on how to identify and delete orphans?

Or... is there a way to "export" all and then "import" on a new machine. I've seen the migrate video, but it just tells how to copy/paste everything.

I need to forward the source information from emails I am receiving. Specifically these are spam emails that appear to be sent to me by me but of course I do not send myself spam. My email provider says I need to send him the source information from these emails but the only way I have found to do this is to open the source material and either 1) save it as a pdf or 2) cut and paste the source material into a new email message to my email provider. Both of these are tedious. In the old days I could expand the email header to reveal the source information and then forward the entire email with header (source info) visible but this option no longer seems available. Ive collected an insane amount of pages in collections on my android phone. After syncing this and opening Firefox on a PC which does not understand collections I've lost all these links. Is this by design? I had such a nice recipe for potato asparagus salad which now is lost forever.

I want "Firefox Suggest" suggestions to operate like normal in regular windows, but not show up in private windows.

Is this possible with an "about:config" tweak?

Sometimes when I open up firefox and try to navigate to a page, the browser refuses to load the page I want, instead it hangs on loading something else- contile-images.services.mozilla.org. It will sometimes do this for as long as several minutes before proceeding to the webpage I actually want to view. How do I fix this?

I want to leave google so am trying Firefox. I like it except that I can't see all the tabs that I need to use at once. There is a slider function so I can only see 14 tabs. Then there are little arrows pointing left and right so I can have access to the other pages.

Is there a way that I can see all of the tabs I have open at once?

If I not, I may need to use another search engine.

TL;DR. Gmail authentication screen pops up but does not allow authentication. It deletes your email input and prompts for your email again.

FULL EXPLANATION: Thunderbird 101.0b4 and my gmail account was previsiously configured and working properly. My Gmail 2FA/MFA was in place before I set up my gmail in Thunderbird again.

I am not sure at what point it stopped working. I don't remember what possible change could have triggered this on my end. Nor do I know if it happened with it specific upgrade to Thunderbird.

For the last few weeks, I occasionally open Thunderbird to access my gmail and it attempts to fetch my email from google but it's unable to authenticate. A Gmail authentication screen pops up but does not allow authentication. I input my email address I hit enter. It deletes my email input and prompts for my email again. It gives no error message and does not change screens. It does not prompt for the password. Nothing.

I'm not seeing any security issues presented with Google. So I'm not sure what's blocking this.

I followed instructions for getting them back, but got stuck at the Library. I said restore and chose a date, but I get an error message: Unable to process the backup file.

Recently (past 2 weeks) it takes a very long time for an email message to "send". Once in a while it will be almost normal speed but it might take as long as 20 seconds or more to send. Incoming seems fine and everything else seems to be working. My gmail a/c is very fast as are all other sites when loading. Has something happened recently that would cause this? Firefox used to give the option to open a file without saving. Now it saves everything to my downloads folder with no option to just open. (I am aware Firefox used to save the opened files in temp). This causes major clutter in my downloads folder and big disruptions to my work flow. Sometimes I just want to view the file and not save it to my working folder (downloads).

Is there a workaround to save to opened files in temp and the saved files to download?

Does Firefox give 2 different "save to" options? One option for a location to save downloaded files and one option for a location to save opened files?

When I try to load random web pages on some well known websites, some load, and then turn blank.

This happens at random, it seems. Most of my browsing seems to work fine.

Reloading doesn't help.

Troubleshooting mode doesn't help.
