Dear Anyone.

So I got ransomwared awhile back - the AZQT one - and managed to get out of it with copious use of backups! Thing IS - it's left my Outlook/Hotmail E_mail page in Russian - and I can't select 'change to English' because all the sub-menus are in Russian and I don't know what to click on!

Now when I first load up the page, I get a lovely-looking little box 'Firefox has detected this page is in Russian, would you like to translate to English' (or words to that effect, y'know.) But the box appears and disappears so fast I don't have time to click on it. I managed to get to it a couple of times and it worked perfectly. But normally it vanishes before I can get there.

How do I make the little box stick around longer so I can click on it? Or is the same option hidden in a Firefox menu somewhere - I'm not the world's greatest Internet browser geek, so please keep answers simple! - and I could click on it in a Firefox menu? Like I said - if I GET to it in time, it works like a dream. It's just GETTING to it fast enough before it vanishes that's the problem!

Just ad an 'orrible thought. I hope that if it's in a Firefox menu, that's not been turned into Russian too!

i am totally lost!!!!!!

Even though I have selected Firefox as my default browser, when I click on links in emails or other sources, the actions continue to open in Microsoft Edge. This is a recent phenomena, starting within the past couple of months. I have repeatedly checked my settings, but Firefox always shows as my default browser.What can I do to stop this nuisance? It's a pain to have to copy and paste the web address from Edge to Firefox. Is this an MS hack? Please advise.

I just saw on line a notice about mozilla monitor and I tried the free scan. I was alarmed. My quesiton is if you have more than one email associated with you ID information, does mozilla monitor cover those different email addresses?

I do not want my searches to be reflected in the address bar. I believe in prior versions of Firefox there was a checkbox to delete that provision. I'm using Firefox 123.0 64-bit with Windows 10 and have been through the setting and more tools areas but found no way to remove that function. I did try the about:config suggestions but still have no joy.

I wish you would stop carrying articles from sources that do not allow pocket subscribers to read them without an individual subscription to the article source. One notable example is the New York Times. it is not possible to read an article from them because when someone clicks on the article of interest, it is not visible unless that person signs up for a subscription to the NYT. So, for all of your readers who like to peruse interesting and thought provoking articles, but do not wish to sign up for multiple subscriptions, why even carry articles from sources that cannot be read to start with? this is VERY annoying! Thanks.

Windows 10 updated. When I started Thunderbird I get the following two messages. I clicked on message 1 and then message 2 pops up. I uninstalled Thunderbird and re-installed. Same messages.

Yesterday, Amazon disappeared from the Firefox search drop down menu and it had disappeared as an option from the list of possible search tools. Later on in the day, it reappeared. This morning it had disappeared. Amazon is still there, but Firefox seems disinclined to admit that. How can Firefox make Amazon stick?

I found out the hard way that if you like to display your emails sorted by 'unread, descending' in a threaded format, it hides unread emails! This is really bad and should be fixed, as it caused me to miss many emails. The threaded group needs to show that it contains unread emails by being bolded, just as single emails are.

I am aware I could set it to show in unthreaded format, but I would prefer threaded, if it didn't have this problem.

To me, this is a bug, so I would request that it gets addressed. Thank you!

Well this is not good. I added one email in main, and then 8 emails in bcc..

I had a client email back sayinfg they can see evryones replies?! One of them was a complaint too.. What's going on? Is there a quick fix?

This morning I copied the entire .../Roaming/Thunderbird folder to a server for storage. Once I built the new Win 11 PC and installed Thunderbird, I then copied the saver Thunderbird folder back onto the new PC in the Roaming folder, over writing the old data. In both operations, Thunderbird was closed. Now when I open Thunderbird it just keeps asking for a new profile to be set up. There is no evidence Thunderbird is using my old data. BTW, I have 3 email accounts that are part of my saved files and all have email associated with them. So, how do I get the new installation to recogfnize the old data?
