firefox will not download...not savvy...is it a default browser...i do not know what i am doing

Firefox is causing loud fan noise and very high CPU usage. It is to the point I am going to have to stop using it.
Here is my info: iMac 27" 3.5 GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i7 16 GB MacOS Catalina 10.15.7
Increased usage happens when there are 3 or more tabs are open or any sort of streaming on one tab. It goes up and down, but reaches up into the 90% area.
There must be a fix for this. No other browsers have this issue.

I've been noticing lately that Firefox takes a while to start loading pages after it requests a restart or recovers from a crash.
I've followed all the advice in the forums including disabling session restore, but the problem persists.
It seems to be doing a lot of disk activity when it restarts either after requesting a restart or if it crashes and I start it again.
Anything I can do to address this issue?

10+ times a day I'll go to search something using the address bar (google search) and it won't search anything. At the same time it won't load any new tabs unless they've been opened recently and it will open them offline. To fix the problem you either need to fully close out of Firefox and reopen it or open a new window in Private Mode and search something (which loads the pages) then exit out of Private Mode and research in normal mode and it will work... It also won't load certain aspects of websites like automation's in Salesforce, but if you open Private Mode it will load those aspects perfectly.

Hence two questions: How can I set Firefox in the configuration so that my history is guaranteed to really never be deleted? Is there a way to recover the deleted part of my history, if so, how?

The program exits with no visible error. Safe mode appears and then closes quickly. Install is fresh and no modification has even able to have happened.

I have several email accounts in Thunderbird (91.8.1 (64-bit), but for some reason there are always issues with my mail.com [not gmail] account. Emails have been ending up in people's Spam folders, and often when I try to send an email I get the following error message in Thunderbird: ______________________________________________

I encounter an error when sending a message with an on-premises exchange server. With Windows, an error window appears and is automatically closed. On Linux, the window remains displayed, which is problematic. In both cases, the message is sent and copied to the sent messages folder The windows error message says "copy to sent folder error" (obviously wrong) In console the error raised after QUIT command of mailnews.smtp with the error code 2152398868.
the error was reported by several of our users and I was able to reproduce it.
