You Sent me a notice about the "New" Thunderbird . I am Not impressed - I want The Features of "Account Colors" being able to set or change "Fonts" in the Thread and Reading Pane. Recently YouTube videos have stopped playing when I'm using the Firefox browser on Windows 10. This has occurred both on my laptop and on my desktop computer. The player, surrounding website, comments, description, etc. all load correctly. The video does not, instead displaying either the video's thumbnail and a buffering symbol, or a blank black screen and a buffering symbol. The time codes on the video load correctly. Ads do not play either, and instead after about 15-30 seconds of buffering the "skip ad" button appears in the lower right hand corner of the video. Videos play normally on both Chrome and Edge, and all other media content appears to load correctly (music/spotify, videos on social media websites, etc.)

So far I have tried: - Running Firefox in troubleshoot mode - Refreshing Firefox - Clearing the cache - Disabling and re-enabling hardware acceleration (didn't work either way) - Uninstalling and reinstalling Firefox - Rebooting my machine - Waiting for the problem to fix itself (it's been two weeks on my main desktop/tower and it's still not working).

At this point the only thing I haven't tried is messing with advanced config settings, and I'm avoiding that since I have no idea what any of them actually do (despite what certain reddit threads recommend).

As far as I'm aware, no specific update to either of my machines or Firefox has preceded the issue appearing. It's been going on on my desktop computer for about two weeks, the problem just started on my laptop last night.

It's worth nothing that I usually use UBlock Origin, Simple Tab Groups, and Facebook container. Those extensions are not currently installed since I had to reset my browser in the process of trying to fix the issue.

I can also confirm it's not an internet issue; speed tests show normal download/upload speeds for my wifi, and those have not varied since the issue began. All of my drivers are also currently up to date.

I did a refresh yesterday and lost my passwords. I have another computer where the passwords are functioning and I have the "old file" but I don't know how to use it. I clicked on the old file, but just came up with another file called EP7i0nok. It doesn't do anything but it just opens up and it doesn't have anything to restore data.

I keep getting this Problem Loading Page message:

    I've been through the Security settings and can't seem to find a fix. This seems to have started with the last update...

I want to download a pdf document from the internet. i used to be able to click on a download icon in the upper right hand section of the screen and it would download to my download file. Now it won't. I am using Firefox 100.

Firefox has my credit card information and it shows up in a window when I go to pay for something, but when I click on the credit card I want to pay with, it won't autofill. In Settings, the box to autofill is checked. This has worked a hundred times before, but stopped working a few months ago. How do I get the autofill to start working again?

I am running Firefox 100.0. When I go to certain websites reCAPTCHA is preventing me from accessing the site. Error message: Please upgrade to a supported browser to get a reCAPTCHA challenge.

I enabled Pop-ups for those sites to no avail. Zoom.us and sedar.com are 2 websites causing problem but only on one computer.

I uninstalled and reinstalled Firefox, but no difference. I disabled Norton 360 and made no difference. No problem if I switch browser.

By default, Thunderbird saves all attachments on outgoing messages. I don't want to save any outgoing attachments, because I have them saved elsewhere.

How can I set the default to not save any outgoing attachment - or else to automatically delete attachments from outgoing messages?

In the past few days Firefox has stopped showing html pages on my other partitions. Has Firefox changed the way they are doing things or is this a new bug?

The screenshot below shows a web page I regularly use that I keep snippets and brief programming notes. It and all links on all partitions except the root drive are no-longer accessible.

I have used Firefox for over 10 years and never had this happen.

Any ideas what may have happened?

My Gmail has thousands of messages on the server. I only want to keep the previous year (2021) and not import the rest of the messages.

How to I delete the entire batch before 2021 in Thunderbird and not affect the Gmail?

I am using the Imap setup.

Struggling with TB constantly "downloading" x 10s of thousands of 10s of thousands of emails (all of which are downloaded), and the programme grinding to a halt. Have set the inboxes to a retention policy of 2500 total. So shouldn't even be trying to DL more than that. Seems to mainly manifest when I compose an email (exactly the time that the sluggishness is a problem). Have done the usual compacting/deleting * files.

This is getting to be a real issue now. I wonder if there's any paid support channels that can deal with this?
