Hi,

For some reason, I don't see the calendar subscriptions in the Calendar view. I restarted the app, and I'm at the latest version. I did install an add-on that made things a bit wonky (a markdown plugin, but I'm not sure if that's when the calendar subscriptions disappeared). I uninstalled it. I noticed the problem after I had uninstalled the add-on.

Does this problem seem familiar to anyone? If so, how did you fix it?

This morning when I opened Thunderbird all entries that have other participants invited have disappeared. The entries without other participants are still there. I am not aware of an update. I can create new events and invite people. It seems the data is just gone somehow, and I somehow need it back.

I'm getting duplicates of calendar items using the Provider for Google Calendar whenever I enter an event in Thunderbird. This doesn't happen when the events are posted elsewhere, on a Google Calendar. When I'm about to enter a new event, I can see a line labeled "Calendar" that gives me 3 choices ... 2 of them are the same, like xxxxx@gmail.com and the other is GMAIL. I have 2 gmail accounts sharing on three devices ... my laptop, my phone and my wife's iPad. Once I've finished and closed the event, I wait a bit and I get the duplicated item beside it. When I right-click on an event that I've put into Thunderbird, I see a line that says "Organizer:" with my gmail address. I don't see anything like that when clicking on a duplicate that has popped up. There is also a Related Link ... https://calendar.google.com/calendar/u/0/event?eid=X2M5ajYyZTluNnRpajBiOWo2OWg2YWI5a2NkaGphYmIyYzhzNjRiOW02cGozaW9wcGNkaW04b2hnY2tfMjAyNDAxMTFUMTgzMDAwWiBnaGNoYXJ0ZXJzQG0 ... but it comes up as "requested URL not found on this server". I have added my own categories in the Thunderbird Calendar New Event window, but I am unable to edit or delete either default or added categories in the list. How do I edit this list? NOTE: this is different than mail categories.

Hallo, i've updated my Thunderbird to 91.8.1 on my Kubuntu 18.04 Lini9x machine. I have some *.ics files attached as calendars via ftp (ftp://192.168.1.1/Kalender/xxx.ics). After the update Thunderbird/Lightning tries to open them in firefox.

Every time Thunderbird/Lightning syncronises the calendars, different tabs occur in Firefox trying to open the files. Thanks a lot in advance, Gruß

Is there any way to get of duplicate scheduled items in the Calendar? Everything is duplicated! I'm not sure how they got there but it might have happened when I was trying to fix a differenct problem. Can I disconnect from the Google Calendar then reconnect?

It's a pity that we reached version 102.1.2 and till now a common problem has not been solved. In email composing window when misstype a word there is the red indicator for mistakes and then by right clicking we get the correct proposed words. In event creation we get only the red indicator for mistakes. Nothing more. It's a pity a so much advertised version to lack such a basic feauture.

Recently rcvd a pair of reminders from my/our calendar (attached). When I attempted to Dismiss/Dismiss All, the reminder dialog remained open. There was no hint of any activity related to the dialog response at all. I closed the dialog using the upper right corner X and shortly thereafter the dialog reappeared. Once the dialog reappeared, I attempted to Snooze/Snooze All. Again, there was no hint of any activity.

1. TB is up-to-date @ v102.4.0 x64.
2. The workstation was restarted just to be sure something else related to the current Windows session was not the cause.

Anyone else experienced this recently or have suggestions on possible ways to remedy it?

I am getting old, my vision is much weaker than it used to be and now I have what is commonly referred to as "Eye Floaters." There's nothing that can be done to fix that, but with dark themes I can usually not see them. Due to a bug (or feature, if you prefer) in the Windows 10 Scaling and Layout settings, once you change them, there's no going back, at least that I have found. Low vision forced me to try to increase the font size in Windows, and in the (seemingly irreversible) process, I set Scaling to 150%. That fixed the problem of text being too small, but it also affected many programs in a negative way. Everything is waaay too big. For example, the menu bar and overall page header in Firefox was massive, taking up nearly a third of the top of my monitor screen. It did the same thing in Chrome only worse. The page footer was almost as big and between the two it left about two inches in the middle to view a website's content. This was very annoying to say the least.

I found a fix for Firefox, by changing the ui.textScaleFactor to 100. However, that did not work for Thunderbird. I found a way to fix it, by going back to Thunderbird 102, and now the email and address book are fine, and the calendar works fine, except for the colors with really bother me. I can't read the screen without looking away to the right of the screen. This is because the colors are too bright, and that is in a dark theme. I don't even want to look at a light theme. It would probably blind me.

Hi I have been using tasks in thunderbird for a while. It seems to me that Tasks ｢description｣ part use html(with some format), unlike mail body where I can change to pure text.

※reason I have problem with this - If I copy from browser/rich text editor(like word), it brings in extra font - sometimes I need to press ｢Enter｣ twice to add a newline

I cannot see the description for a lot of the events in my calendar when there are large attendee lists. In this example the attendee list is so large I cannot even resize it to see the description. There needs to be a way to scroll the event window as a whole when the content doesn't all fit, or alternatively a way of collapsing the attendee list.

So I was having problems changing an event to a different day. I performed an update, restarted, recheck updates, restarted PC Open thunderbird, mail appears Okay, calendar Okay Still cannot change an event (appointment) and it has lost the last appointment I added yesterday I decided to just add the adjusted even as a new event, and all calendars (2023, 2024, Holidays, birthdays) all now blank, and .ics fils are all 4.0 kb Seriously what has happened. Was working 3 days ago perfectly, now it's "stuffed". 1. Calendar is Blank 2. Cannot add anything new 3. creating a new calendar (restored from backup) is BLANK -Any suggestions? PLEASE

Since upgrading to Thunderbird v102 on my Mac I've lost events from my Lightning Calendar. I seem to have lost all my bi-weekly or monthly repetitive events (my one-off or annual repetitive events seem to be in tact).

I've tried closing the calendar and restarting Thunderbird but all to no avail. I was wondering whether I might restore my Lightning Calendar from my Time Machine backup (before I updated to v102) and, if so, what files I might need to replace.

This question hints that there might be a way to subscribe directly to the Google holiday calendar rather than downloading and importing it. Does anyone know how to do this?

The Today Pane is showing no events. The events show fine in the Calendar mode, but not in the Today Pane when set to Events.

I tried using Troubleshoot mode and it made no difference.

I have version Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64; rv:102.0) Gecko/20100101 Thunderbird/102.15.1

Right clicking anywhere in the Events area of the Today Pane does nothing at all. Right clicking in the Tasks area does show a menu, but nothing in the menu has anything to do with Events.

Since upgrading to v102 I've lost events in my calendar and am progressively losing historic data that I wanted to keep (events that were there last week aren't there this week). I've tried copying a backup of local.sqlite and checked the entries in prefs.js to no avail. If I can't fix then I'm going to have to dump Firefox and Thunderbird.
