After updating to 106.0 (64-bit), I'm seeing an error when trying to open the new tab page ("Oops, something went wrong loading this content.")

Troubleshooting mode does not help.

The browser console shows the following error:

TypeError: sectionOrder is undefined

I receive this error message for several sites that I know are secure (i.e., dvd.netflix.com): "The page you are trying to view cannot be shown because the authenticity of the received data could not be verified." How do I override this?

Just recently I started having a problem with Firefox when accessing my Microsoft Outlook Exchange via your web browser. When I right click in the body of a new or response email, the drop down menu only gives me the first 3 options "EMOJI", "COPY" and "CUT". It doesn't continue to provide the "PASTE" and "PASTE WITH TEXT ONLY" options. This only happens in the body of the email, not the subject line or "TO" lines. It also only happens with one specific account login - [email]@christ-the-lord.org and only in Firefox. If I login with a different Microsoft account, the issue isn't there. If I use another browser, the issue isn't there. But if I login with this same account on another computer, the issue is in both places, again just with Firefox, restricted to the body of the email in Outlook exchange web login.

I can only assume that this account has some type of safety feature turned on that is preventing the ability to cut and paste into the body of the email, but I cannot figure out what it is. My IT guy doesn't know what would be causing this either. I tried refreshing Firefox. It didn't help but this also doesn't explain why the same thing is happening on different computers. Any suggestions?

Hi, I have been a Firefox user for 30 years, so I want to comment on your product. Every year I notice the performance of the browser getting worse and worse, more and more errors unexpected closures and slowdowns, it's bad to work because such small crashes make you look for another alternative. I do not write this maliciously, but that you think about how to improve the performance and speed of firefox. I only hope that someone wise will read this and pass it on to the higher-ups to make real changes.

In any case, you are going in the right direction and I still consider firefox with the most friendly and easy to use browser.

Hello,

I am experiencing an issue with Sync for my Containers. I've run through this several times now, and I know this is supposed to happen by default. However, it is not syncing for me. I added the extension, created a container and added a site to it. I selected 'Limit to Designated Sites'. When I install Firefox and login on a different device, the multi-container extension is automatically downloaded but not the containers/site list I created on the initial device.

I have checked 'Enable Sync' on both devices in the container settings.

For months now, Firefox is not deleting the history on exit, despite the option being ticked. Here is what I tried already:

  • Made sure the option to delete the history on exit is actually ticked
  • Made sure the sub-options describing what data to delete are all ticked
  • Unticked and re-enabled the aforementioned options
  • Diabled all addons and restarted the browser
  • Disabled sync and restarted the browser
  • Enabled Troubleshoot Mode and restarted the browser
  • Followed the support article regarding this issue: http://mzl.la/1BAQrbZ (except the nuclear option)

Manually triggering the deletion of history and cookies does still work. I saw many tutorials on making self-signed certificates get a lock sign of trusted certificate, which were installing the root certificate of authority in firefox which i did, and also installed in windows, i am using latest version of firefox developer edition, this is error i recieve:

Websites prove their identity via certificates. Firefox Developer Edition does not trust this site because it uses a certificate that is not valid for 192.168.0.102. The certificate is only valid for the following names: localhost, 192.168.0.102, 172.20.10.3

I'm on two Apple machines, both running Monterey 12.6, a 2014 Intel Mac Mini and a 2020 M1 MacBook Pro. Both updated to Firefox 106.0 yesterday. The MacBook Pro seems fine, but the Mac Mini "bookmarks.html" file is not being updated. I noticed this as when I run backups, I have a script that copies the file from my profile into a folder so the backup program can back it up along with other files.

In the profiles location I have a folder named "bookmarkbackups" and a file named "bookmarks.html." Is there a setting that needs to be set/changed so the html file continues to be updated?
