My mac spontaneously crashed and rebooted overnight, a rare event. When I came up firefox wouldn't work.

Many, many times I clear out all vestiges of firefox from downloads, applications and every place I can think of.

I then empty trash and I use safari (ugh) to reinstall firefox. Everything proceeds well. When I activate the newly installed firefox application, nothing happens. Eventually in the "Force Quit Applications" it says Firefox "not responding"

I cannot think of anything else to try. Everything else on the Mac seems to be functioning well. The os is 12.7

I tried 4 times to download firefox from Google play store. It keeps saying try again later all the time. Would someone send me the full version for Android or send me a link to download it?

I wish I knew! Problem seems to with name I have for my account with Firefox. I see p348brogden, I think it should be peter.brogden3 but I may totally wrong. I cannot get loading of WPS365(?) to happen.

I deleted Firefox from my Windows 11 computer because it was having issues. I reinstalled but I did not get back the same settings I have on my laptop. I have tried to do a complete uninstall and remove all Firefox files but, there are files attached to my Avast antivirus that I can't delete. Also when I down load it wont Sync. Firefox is my browser of preference and I do not want to use another browser. I should also note that Firefox has been completely removed from program files, program files(x86) as well as program data but there are still file in Avast and Windows. See picture attached. I am trying to move back to Thunderbird from Apple Mail. The issue I am having is that Thunderbird is not pulling my sent messages on my Mac or in Linux. When I used Thunderbird in the past this was not an issue. I checked the forum and my iCloud and Fastmail accounts are set up as IMAP. What has me confused is that Thunderbird pulled three messages with very old dates but nothing else.

Hi jscher2000, I want to thank you for your advice concerning a problem I had downloading Firefox to my Windows 10 laptop. I tried to follow your advice but was not successful. In the end, I googled "what if Firefox doesn't install". It took me to a website, https://www.makeuseof.com/fix-firefox-not-installing-windows , which took me to an article entitled "8 Fixes to Try if Firefox Won't Install on Windows". I tried #1 and #2 without success. #3, Temporarily Disable Your Antivirus Software, worked. Firefox is up and running. Feel free to share this with anyone who has a similar problem. Every 2 years, when a new Ubuntu LTS version comes out, I need to migrate my cloud based mail server. After I have transferred the domains and set DNS to the new server IP, I always have the problem, that my existing thunderbird imap mail accounts don't work properly anymore. K9 mail on my android devices doesn't have this problem. Sending mails does work, but the imap connection to my mail accounts is broken. I tried using the IP of the new server instead of its DNS name, but this didn't help either. The only way that works, is to add a new account. This is very nagging as I then need to manually edit all my adapted settings and my various mail identities. Is it a generic problem with TB, possibly with the server certificates? Or is there another way to change the imap server of an existing account?

Thunderbird trying to download email from POP3 BELLSOUTH.NET server. The downloads are set for 1 minute they stopped happening mid-January on the PC. These downloads continue to work successfully on the Android c-phone. What do you suggest?

My company uses Oracle Fusion as its ERP solution, and I frequently have to download files from Oracle BI Publisher. Prior to V123 of Firefox, which installed this morning, I could click on the file/report in Oracle Fusion, and the file/report would get moved to my Downloads folder. After the update to V123, nothing happens after I click on the file. I had a co-worker replicate the problem after his Firefox updated to V123. Please advise if this is a known issue and if there is a resolution.

Firefox regularly forces me to restart the browser because of background updates being executed. When loading a new page I get: "Restart to Keep Using Firefox - An update to Firefox started in the background...". (see image below) Background updates of Firefox are disabled in the browsers preferences. (see image below) After restarting the browser, I actually noted, that the version is still the same as before (Noticed this the first time today, when taking the screenshot). (see image below) Anyway, it's a really annoying fact which made me and some colleagues almost leaf Firefox, even though I have been forever.

What is causing this issue and how can I stop it?

System:

• Windows 10
• Firefox 122.0.1 (and prior versions)
• Reproducible on other machines
• Machines are not managed remotely

I use Owl to receive my emails on Thunderbird. This has been working fine, but stopped round about my renewal date. I have re-added all my account details and can get the data to come up, but it doesn't stay. Every time I close Thunderbird, so all the folders and emails disappear too. Please help. I have tried contacting the Owl Support several times by email, but they have not replied!
