I have been using the "install as app" feature in Firefox for Android for years. It is a great feature for appifying services that don't have a dedicated app and for getting around poorly implemented stand alone apps. Last night I tried to delete a redundant "app" icon from a web page that I made a shortcut for in Firefox. Apparently removing the shortcut icon via the normal Android UI also completely removed Firefox and all my other app shortcuts that I made in Firefox before. Please fix this bug ASAP if you are able, I understand it also may be an Android thing you can't fix. I have not recreated the bug because it is very annoying to have to reinstall and reconfigure Firefox.

I have an issue with my keyboard not showing up when I try to type in search bars specifically when the sites are saved as app shortcuts. The keyboard works fine when the sites are tabs within the firefox app but once I save sites as a shortcut and open through the shortcut, the keyboard will appear for a split second and disappear right away.

After installing a shortcut to a website that stages as an app through the Firefox Android app (Samsung 6.0, Android 14) when using said shortcut, if entering any text box the keyboard will pop up and rapidly close and open, making it unable to use. This problem happens on any text box, and with any keyboard. I'll attach a youtube link of a screen recording as well as a gif, though it's rather difficult to see the entire problem through a gif. I've been reusing android firefox again lately and I noticed I would have a bunch of tabs at a time. Then I realized that it was because whenever I would click a shortcut from the search screen it would open the page in a new tab instead of staying on the current tab. Is there a way to change this?

i have pinned shortcuts on mac. they do not sync with with my android. i cannot change any shortcuts on mobile. when removing them other ones pop up. is there any way so both of the devices have the same shortcuts

Favicons for shortcuts added to the startpage do not persist. In other words, when I add a shortcut to the startpage, the shortcut initially displays the expected favicon for the respective site. However, when I leave the startpage and then come back, the shortcut favicons are no longer displayed. Instead, the shortcut is simply a colored box containing the first letter in the name of the website. I have already tried the prosaic troubleshooting meaure of deleting the app cache (to no avail), and I am using the most up-to-date version of Firefox on Android. Any other ideas, or is this a bug?

I thought half my apps were gone randomly, then I realized they are all the ones that were web pages Saved to Home Screen, by Firefox! I'm very upset because there's no way I can remember all of them, how can I restore?? Android, no desktop fixes please!

I want to add a shortcut to my Android device's home screen for a specific location within a popular website (github). However Firefox doesn't allow me to do that, as the option to "Add to Home screen" changes to "Install" (i.e. prompting to install it as a web-app).

While the "Install" option also places a shortcut on the home screen, it doesn't allow for a specific URL, rather it just leads to the github login screen instead (just as it would with an "app" you wish to use). I don't want that, I want a shortcut to a specific page within github.

Is there any workaround for this? Can this behavior of "Installing" web-apps be disabled somehow in about:config, so that all websites can just be added as regular shortcuts?

I'm using FF Nightly for Android, btw.

Im a regular user of Firefox Mobile and also Firefox PC. I'm missing a very important feature in "Firefox Mobile" is Shortcuts are not Coustomizable i can't order them and also shortcut isn't "Synchronized" with Firefox Account which is really frustrating. Became "Vivaldi" & some other browsers have this features!!! I used firefox like 2years but, If i want these features i have to shift from firefox to other browsers, which i don't want to. So Please Solve my problem and make me mozilian forever.

merry christmas all ... in bookmarks why can't you organise them the way you want to ie: move them up or down in the order you want them... I can't find a way of doing it. and secondly on the homepage in the image I have uploaded why is there so much wasted space? and you can only have 2 rows of shortcuts. I am using the app on my phone and tablet which are both samsung galaxy phone is A34 5G and the tablet A8 thank you very much

I've deselected to not have any shortcuts on my homepage from my history & they're still popping up. I only want the short cuts I save. I either have to delete them one by one or clear my history (which I might need sometimes) to get rid of them. It's annoying me enough to not want to use Firefox. I want a neat home page without any clutter.

Hopeful for solution, multiple posters have asked about issue without responses

I have used links to websites added to home screen. These shortcuts recently stopped working. If I use bookmark on Firefox Android it opens. If I copy url to Chrome and create a shortcut link on home screen it works. Is there a Firefox setting that changed? I've used these shortcuts without problem on this phone until past week or so.

I'm on Android 11 updated to Oct 2022. Xiaomi Poco X4 Pro 5G. Firefox 107.1.0 with "add shortcuts to home screen" enabled.
