This forum website sometimes just gets stuck and doesn't want to load, and Firefox won't even throw the timeout error. This issue cannot be consistently replicated.

I tested this in another browser called Google Chrome, and the issue is not present there.

I have a Redmi Note 11 Pro 5G running Android 13.

Just recently upgraded to v115 (115.5.0)

I noticed that Edit->Undo will undo moved messages and stuff, but not deleted messages. So if you send a message to the trash and hit undo, it won't undo that. Instead, it will undo whatever you did before it (or won't undo anything if you haven't done anything else since opening TB).

Or is that just me?

Facebook requires me to have to update Firefox even though I have the latest version! Could it be because my computer only has Windows 7? Can't find no free upgrade to 10 anymore ... buy without money will not go! I really need help!

First, I have more tech problems than I can shake a stick at and I m dealing with concussion and screens (monitors, cell phone, etc) aggravates and I don't track as well online as usual, so I'm asking for help sooner than I would hoping y'all can break it down very smply for me. Thunderbird v.59.2 on Windows Vista desktop. Yup, Vista :-) Cable provider died, so years of emails to addresses using isp-provided email addresses are in Thunderbird but can't use emails.

In short term got TMobile 5G wireless and it is hideous, beware! For now I use my cell as hotspot to get on internet on old desktop.

I'll list what I've tried in a sec, but here's my ultimate goal: I want to get AT&T fiber installed and hooked up on new desktop (Windows 11) and install latest thnder bird there and bring over old files. Before installing at&t I have to formally cancel with former cable provider (it's in an odd limbo). I've assumed it's better to cull all email addresses related to those email accounts before severing all ties.

I can't upgrade to v60 with Vista. I modified advanced config and added strict config Boolean setting and set to false and added check compatibility 59.2 setting and set to false.

The email crawler add on still gives me not compatible error. I restarted Thunderbird and that didn't help, unfortunately.

What can I do?

Again, my two main concerns are 1) harvest email address on my dead email accounts so I can send notifications of my new email addresses and 2) prepare to move all Thunderbird stuff to new desktop once I have working wireless internet to facilitate.

See the attached .gif in the past could I use a "mailto:" link without problems, I used this extension: https://addons.mozilla.org/de/firefox/addon/outlook-com-mailto/ But even, when I deactivate it, does it NOT work. As you can see in the gif, the website opens and the mail does not load. usually it should create a new empty email ready to send. I tested it with gmail (because I have a gmail accunt through google) and that worked.

So there is some problem with outlook, this does happen on every page, tested also with disabled adblocker (ublock).

On the Facebook desktop, the Firefox push notifications keep switching to off. I cannot see these notifications as a result, as you can see from the image where the information is blank. I have tried everything possible to fix this issue, but it remains. Any help in fixing this issue would be appreciated.

There is an app of my PC to open a digital version of the USA Today paper as well as other newspapers owned by Gannett. This app has always run well on Firefox. But a few weeks ago, when selecting the option to print an article, multiple pop-up screens began displaying. It is normal for the article to display in a pop-up screen just before printing but not multiple times. And every time I print an article the number of pop-ups increase... the first time twice, the second time three times, the seventh time eight times, etc. If I open the app using Chrome this does not happen.

ALL tasks have disappeared with everything in calendar after update to supernova or whatever it is. I understand they are still there SOMEWHERE but can't find them. Have tried changing the filters to all, undone tasks, everything. This is NOW version 115.4.3. Just did this about a month ago and spousal units tasks are ALL gone and calendar empty.

I am running Firefox on a Windows 10 computer. I have had little-to-no problems with Firefox before now. Since this morning, every time I open Firefox, it almost instantly crashes. Even after refreshing it and reinstalling it a few times, the problem persists. I have no idea what the cause is; I don't remember drastically changing any settings or anything like that. It will crash even when I use safe/troubleshoot mode, when I open a private window, and when I run it as an administrator.

I got to a point where it would give me a sliver of time before crashing. Following the advice of a Firefox help article, I managed to clear all of its stored cache and cookies(if I remember correctly). Still no fix.

If anyone knows how to fix this, I'd love to hear the solution when convenient for you.

So I've scoured the Firefox community help and have done everything: disabled cookie auto-delete, make sure I have "always use private browsing mode" unchecked, make sure Firefox always saves logins/history/etc., have security set to "Standard," and have added exceptions to the Firefox security; yet, despite all this, I'm still getting logged out everytime I close the browser. I'm getting to my wit's end!

What else can be done to fix this? It's really frickin annoying having to sign back into everything, everytime I open Firefox. Thank you in advance.

macOS 14.1.1 on an M2 with FF 120.

When going to sites such as nbcnews.com/now or https://toronto.ctvnews.ca, A/V sync is off by about a second.

This appears to be due to the volume being muted when video playback starts. Unpausing the video leads to the video freezing for a very brief moment, then the A/V sync is clearly incorrect.

This can be replicated on YouTube by loading a video, muting the video (if not muted already), refreshing the page (F5), allowing the video to play, then unmuting the video. The sync will be incorrect.

If the audio is unmuted when the video play back starts, this does not appear to happen.

Following this article has no impact: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/performance-settings, nor does setting media.hardware-video-decoding.enabled to false.

This issue does not occur on Microsoft Edge.

Since there is a workaround, perhaps we could be told if the issue is related to using an older Android version. (phone doesn't support newer versions). That would prevent myself and others from updating Firefox. For all of you working on Firefox (thank you!) but there is no reason to ensure it works with all versions of Android!

After upgrading Firefox 118 to 120, reading mode has various issues. Sometimes the webpage looks the same (white background, small text). Sometimes an error is presented. Here is one example.

Interestingly, when using the paste & go workaround, some pages open in Reading Mode by default. (Dark background, white text, larger font) with the reading mode icon in blue. Selecting the reading mode button does exit reading mode.

The other, rarer, issue, is that reading mode appears the same as non-reading mode. Workaround works.

On iPad PayPal does not open when selected as payment option on all on line sales sites. I have cleared cache and cookies. PayPal says it is an issue with browser.

On November 22nd, 2023, when the application got its last update, everytime I open a new tab it stops loading the website half-way. And it blocks every other tab I have saved for later from loading again. It works after I erase cache 5 or 6 times. I had no problems like this one in the past.

Whenever I download a file Firefox downloads two of the same file. One is an empty file and the second file is the right size.

Example: I want to download a file called blender-4.0.1-macos-x64.dmg, when I start the download the first copy shows up immediately in my download folder called blender-4.0.1-macos-x64.dmg with zero bytes but another one is still downloading. Once that one is fully downloaded too I have another one in my download floder called blender-4.0.1-macos-x64-1.dmg.

Not sure how to prevent that, it is very annoying

Dear all, I am Thunderbird user for almost a few decades now. Since upgrade several weeks ago, my Thunderbird became slower, and, also started to work not as before. Now it is, after few minor updates up today, 115.5.0 (32-bit) version. The main issue, beside slower speed in showing messages, is it does not mark some messages as read when selected. When I scroll selecting unread messages to read/show them, some of them are marked read as before it did, but some of them stay unmarked in spite of multiple times selecting them and holding them selected. This happens regardless of setting “Automatically mark message as read” options Immediately on display, or After displaying for 1 second. In most cases it happens with last received unread message. Last time I remember such erratic behavior was decades ago. I tried to switch off and back on that option, then restarting program, but nothing changes in it’s behavior. Please advise. My wife was on Firefox, I was on EDGE for email(Outlook) and google access, I tired of the issues with EDGE and moved my account to Firefox, it REMOVED her email access displacing with mine, how do I get her email access Back?
