In MacOS preferences I made a shortcut for Firefox for sharing a bookmark to Notes. I have several tabs open. I switch to some tab and press my shortcut. Everything happens just like when I share manually – either via the File-Share menu bar or by right-clicking on the bookmark. The bug when using my created shortcut is that it still only shares one tab – the first one. Clicking on another tab and pressing the shortcut again shares the first one, not the newly active one.

In Brave browser same thing works fine. Firefox + Waterfox tried and tested and the same bug.

My email has stopped receiving. When I try to manually receive, I get a "wrong certificate" and "certificate belongs to another account" notices. When I check my account settings, I see that you have 2 different codes added to the account name. :110 and :995. They are both the same server, so I assume they should be the same. I cannot change them. Dale@ does not work. Sue@ should be the correct one, but it is not active on this machine. Is this something you can fix from your end, or do I need to contact my provider? Please use info@daletaylorphotography.com to reply or I will NOT get an answer as my main email is the one not working.

my email stopped downloading on my iMac (2010 model) after November 15th 2023. I was told it was because it was so old, the security protocols were out of date. I bought the latest iMac (M3 chip) but I still can't download my email. I can send an email from the Mac, and I receive emails on my iPhone, just not my computer. I have the latest version of Thunderbird. 115.7.0 (64 bit). I have deleted some emails, and those will re-download (which is weird) but nothing new. It will show on the bottom left "downloading 1 of 538", but never downloads.

Please help!

1. thunderbird refuses to save, acknowledge hotmail password. must reenter on opening program. dialog box remains until I manually close. Mail is processed. I can see my account behind the dialog box. mail comes in and goes out.

2. also - window opens behind email program with title bar off screen for google. must hit esc to remove. 2 screen shots attached.

I accidently deleted the password saved with Oaut2 for this mail account trying to fix this. thought it would ask for the password when i next accessed the program but no luck!

I have been using Thunderbird for decades, and my settings have always been to never delete my Trash, i.e. currently that is Tools > Account settings > Synch & Storage > Don't delete any messages. In the past few weeks I've discovered that now my trash is being automatically deleted somehow and everything prior to exactly 2 months from the day I check is gone. I can't find any other setting in Thunderbird that could be causing this and my hosting provider claims there is nothing on their server doing this either (I don't necessarily believe them though).

Has anyone noticed this? Was there a recent change in Thunderbird that ignores this setting somehow? It's exactly 2 months of trash that gets retained.

Thunderbird no longer receiving email after my two accounts were compacted earlier this evening. Tried getting out of the program, restarting computer, no dice. I did receive code from Mozzilla to get into this site (maybe Mozzilla can do things that I can't do) but when I sent a test email from one account to the other it was not received.

Also, 5 hours of emails (and counting?) appear to be missing. "Get messages" does not help.

Advice would be appreciated.

After some recent updates, I cannot download any file, especially pdf.

"Share" -> "Save as PDF" does not work for me.

When I click any download button, either for pdf or other type of file, the download progress bar is animated indefinitely without any visible progress, no files are appearing on my phone.

I have a Ledger Nano S crypto wallet. Not all cryptos show directly in my Ledger and I wish to use MetaMask to view them. When using Chrome, with my Ledger connected and active, my Ledger doesn't connect due to "unknown error". When using Firefox, with my Ledger connected and active, my Ledger similarly doesn't connect due to "unknown error" although in this case there was an additional screen note from Firefox regarding "ongoing problems connecting Ledger devices to MetaMask (origin April 23?)". When using Brave browser there is not a problem viewing my tokens (although a different problem is that I lose token upgrade functionality - hence my desire to connect Ledger to MetaMask using a different browser - preferably Firefox). I use the latest versions of the browsers and Windows 10 in conjunction with Avast One anti-virus. I’ve also cleared cookies and cache several times. All drivers and software are up to date. Any thoughts on rectifying my connection problem please?

hello. i just added two emails to our thunderbird email program: jfreilich@live.com and slederer@live.com. i keep getting this message: Login to server outlook.office365.com with username jfreilich@live.com failed. and no matter which password i enter i continue to get rejected...however, if i hit cancel then the mail comes through. rather funky. any idea what's up? this is the first time we are using an imap rather than the pop3. we do have two other emails on thunderbird that uses pop3 without any issues. appreciate your help as i fear i am loosing emails but definitely they are being greatly delayed and not downloaded automatically.
