Hello,

In the past, FF downloaded documents without opening them in the browser. This is two weeks now that whenever I download a document, FF is now opening the document in the browser without asking me.

I welcome if someone could tell me what I can do to stop FF from opening the documents.

I try to install Firefox on a HP Z1 G8 desktop under Windows 11 Pro. The first time I get a warning that a .dll is not available or so (I dont know what this warning is precisely, becaus it pops up for 2 seconds only ) , and firefox is not well installed, reinstalling goes without warning, but still Firefox starts and then stay dead, no sites, no settings. I know the security in this computer is very thight, but other apps install without problem and functions.

Why Firefox cant be installed where other apps can ??????

This is a very bizarre problem. Basically I can't install any Firefox addon neither on my desktop OR may laptop. I noticed this issue just couple of days ago. When I try to install any addon normally, from a link, it tells me that the addon can't be installed because the file is corrupt. Tried several addons, all same problem. On my desktop AND on my laptop. On my desktop I'm running ver. 103, but on my laptop I still had ver. 102.1, so there is no Firefox update issue. When I try to install addon from xpi file, it tells me that I have no permission to open that file and that's it. I tried to take ownership of that file but it didn't solve the issue I tried to disable my AV program, but it didn't do anything. On my laptop, I tried to refresh FF, no help. I tried to start FF in safe mode, same problem. I created new profile, same issue. Eventually, I totally uninstalled FF, removing program itself, removing Appdata folder and even registry entry. Installed fresh copy of FF, same problem exists. Then, I noticed one thing. When I tried to sync fresh FF installation on my laptop, it synced everything, EXCEPT for addons. So, something is preventing me doing anything regarding addons. Themes install just fine. I've struggling with this problem since yesterday and at this point I totally ran out of any fresh ideas how to solve this issue, thus posting here. I'll appreciate any fresh idea as what to do next. HI, I have switched from Windows to Linux but I do not know how to migrate Thunderbird. I have done it before from Windows to Windows. I saved my Thunderbird folder expecting to paste it into my new OS but I cannot figure out where to paste it. Clicking on "open directory" in "troubleshooting information" does nothing. I installed Thunderbird on the new OS. I pasted the folder in the home directory and renamed it .thunderbird, but the app still does not find my data. I am using elementary OS. I am new to Linux. Step by Step instructions help a lot. Thank you for your help!

In a nutshell, I've had problems multiplying with Thunderbird for months now. I'd reset to default settings if that was an option. It doesn't seem to be. My fear is that if I just delete the program, reinstall it, and restore all of my old profile, some of the problems I'm seeing might be transferred back. So I'm wondering if I can just delete the program, do a fresh install, and restore the important parts instead. (Messages and Contact List.) Version 115.7.0 Thanks.

Hello, I have my thunderbird data files (emails, etc.) on a separate drive. I had windows, apps on an SSD. The ssd got corrupted so I had to reinstall. Now I need to have Thunderbird point to the files on the separate drive. I have been trying to figure it out from your support articles but it gets way too confusing, especially since the new version of Thunderbird is different from the version I had before. Can you help me? Thank you

Hi, I have some issue on the new updates on Version 101.0.1 (64 bit) Firefox auto-download all my files even when I am in view mode. Is there a way to disable this feature?

I am running on Linux OpenSuse 15.4. I upgraded to Thunderbird 102.2.2 a few days ago, using OpenSuse's YAST Software Manager. I manage 3 email accounts in Thunderbird. The first 2 work fine, but the 3rd will no longer let me see the email bodies of any of the emails in its Inbox or Sent folders. No matter which email item I click on in the lists, the body pane in the lower right of the display remains blank. I have not touched the settings of that account and it worked fine before the upgrade. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Can i make a copy Mozilla Firefox folder to another device. I have upgraded to new operating system and just copy the Firefox folder file from latest windows to newest windows. Thank you.
