"Upon further investigation between your screenshot, mine and another server I completed, I believe I might have the answer. Firefox does not natively support cipher suite encryption levels above SHA. The server having the issues has the SHA suite completely disabled leaving 256bit keys and above enabled, even with the AES 128 wrapper on a couple of the suites. I will make this change tonight and verify if this is the answer."

https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1121392

This is related to this question above. Has firefox released an update to this yet? Do they support sipher suite encryption levels above SHA1? Our company's website has to be PCI compliant and since meeting PCI standards, we get a "Secure Connection Failed" error only in firefox when loading our site.

To reproduce:

1. Go to a website that performs xhr reqs (i.e. https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/new/desktop) 2. CMD + SHIFT + I to open dev tools > Network Tab 3. Either right click on the xhr req and choose edit & resend or one left click then click edit and resend (as shown in screenshot).

PS: it works fine in FireFox; iow, it shows a window to modify req then resending it.

PSS: can you pls add a simple resend option (without editing) makes it a lot faster/easier when debugging.

Thanks.

Hi,

A bit of an odd one this I think. Have already read all the other threads regarding search problems and pretty sure this isn't the same thing at all.

No matter what I type into the URL / search box it first very quickly flashes up with a Google link (which is what I have set in my preferences for Firefox [I'm using the Developer Edition] to use) then it redirects to Yahoo and uses their search instead.

I have checked all plugins / extensions in Firefox and there are none installed that would do anything like this.

Luckily I was able to halt the browser from performing the redirect so I copied the URL that shows before being redirected to Yahoo.

This is the sort of URL that I am getting :

https://www.google.com/search?q=dog&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8&client=firefox-b-ab

Notice the &client=firefox-b-ab at the end. If I take that off the end of the URL then it searches as it should do with Google however with me not changing the URL (which happens automatically as soon as I type something in to search) then it redirects to Yahoo which leads me to believe that Google is redirecting Firefox based upon the fact that it is Firefox?

Why they would do that is utterly beyond me though?

Thanks for any help with this as I'd really love to be able to get back to having Google as my default search engine again as soon as possible.

Best wishes,

Mark

When I started experimenting with ServiceWorkers in Firefox Developer Edition recently, I consented to disabling multi-E10S, but now it seems to be stuck on disabled even when I don't have about:debugging open and debugging a ServiceWorker. I've tried changing a few of the prefs in about:config as suggested for accessibility stuff that may disable it, but no luck. I'd love to get my performance back. :|

I just downloaded Firefox developer edition, and Firefox nightly edition. The problem happens on both of my Linux Mint 18.3 and Linux Mint 19 systems. I can run Firefox developer edition straight away. Problem happens when I launch the Firefox Nightly edition, the regular Firefox pops up. If I open the regular Firefox again, a new window in Nightly opens if the Nightly is already launched. After opening and saving tabs, the tabs are shown on the regular Firefox, and vice versa. This doesn't happens for Firefox Developer Edition. How can I fix that? Please help!

Hi all,

I've got a really weird problem. I love FF's address bar and really frequently use it to go to my favorite sites really quickly. R is immediately autocompleted to say 'reddit.com' so all I have to do is click-R-enter and I'm there. The weird thing is, since a few days ago, the bar doesn't do this for all sites. Just now, I typed in 'map' and maps.google.com shows up in the suggestions as #1, but it doesn't autocomplete to fill it in for me. It used to do that just fine. It's really weird. I've already renamed that json file to reset all settings, but that didn't do anything for me.

Would appreciate any help. I'm on 62.0b5.

Thanks!

Mark

Since Firefox is has become such a badly broken piece of garbage and seems to require constant troubleshooting nowadays, it would be nice if you included a way to quickly disable all addons at once, not one at a time, and not having to close down and restart — just a way to turn them off so I could make sure the problem is with the web page, or with Firefox being fundamentally broken, and not with one of my small handful of addons. The easier you make troubleshooting, the more time we can spend actually browsing the web and getting our work done.

For instance, if you're trying to buy a bus ticket, as I am right now, your time is much more productively spent actually buying the bus ticket, rather than wasting hours troubleshooting Firefox to try and figure out why the bus ticket website doesn't work in firefox when it works properly in every single other browser. Being able to turn addons on and off easily would help in this. I had thought opening a private window would turn the addons off for that window so I could go about my business and just get the consarned ticket bought, but after being unable to figure out how to make that happen I did some googling and it seems this feature was helpfully removed from newer versions of firefox. That would have been a nice thing to keep. Browsers with better features are better. Worse or missing features, not as good.
