Recently clicked to update to the next version of Firefox. Then I get the message "Restart to Update Firefox." I restart Firefox but the message is still there when I click Help > About Firefox. It would appear that the update did not happen for some reason. Do I need to re-install Firefox to get around this problem?

After recent updates, I’ve been having issues with cookies. Whenever I open Firefox and perform a new Google search, it shows that I’m logged out and the cookie consent popup appears. I have to refresh the page for it to work properly. After refreshing, the cookies load, I’m logged in, and the popup disappears. This issue isn’t limited to Google Search—it happens on about 90% of the websites I try to access right after launching Firefox.

Since Android 12, many apps can take "scrolling screenshots" that capture more than just the currently-visible part of the screen, with an aptly labeled "capture more" button. I noticed that when screenshotting a webpage in Firefox Android, I don't have the option to do this. When screenshotting the same webpage in a Chromium browser, I do. (See screenshots: 1st is Firefox, 2nd is Chrome)
Is this a bug, or a known FF limitation? Is it on the devs' roadmap?

My query relates to Thunderbird 128.5.1esr (64-bit) using IMAP to link with Outlook emails. [2] "Also, make the change in Copies & Folders in Account Settings

(Folders are Archive, Deleted (with subfolder POP), Drafts, INBOX, Junk, Notes, Outbox and Sent [as well as 3 personal folders].) Both Outbox and Sent were checked. If I uncheck the Sent box, leaving Outbox checked, the Sent folder empties completely; if I then check it again, it refills all the sent messages from years back (presumably from Outlook because of IMAP.) re [2] In Account Settings I had unchecked the "Place a copy in:" option - but am still getting duplicates. For some reason, IDM will not work in Firefox/DuckDuckGo. even though it worked a couple of weeks ago. I contacted IDM support who have tried everything they have, but no change.
Here is the issue: 1. I open Firefox (Duck Duck Go is my default) (132.0.2 (64-bit) 2. I type "vintage sci fi movies" 3. Click on "videos" 4. Pick any movie (example: The Phantom Planet (black and white but this does not matter) 5. In the Choose How you Watch, I click the left icon - Watch Here, and not Watch on YouTube; also click Remember my choice 6. The movie starts but there is no IDM dialogue 7. If I then click Watch on YouTube inside the movie, it switches to YouTube and the movie starts, AND the IDM dialogue pops up.
As I said, this worked in Firefox/DDG a couple of weeks ago.
IDM version is 6.42 Build 23, full (paid for) version Oct 15 2024 The IDM Integration Module in Firefox shows as Version 6.42.22, last updated Oct 28 2024.

Lately when I manually check Firefox for updates. From the menu Help, then About Firefox. It will download the update, ask to restart Firefox. It will restart Firefox, but NOT install the update. It continues to fail to install until I close Firefox myself, wait a good minute, then load Firefox again and it will install the update. I can make this happen to every computer with Firefox installed.
