It is SAD that the OS I have will no longer be supported due to exploits.
Considering the # of exploits, backdoors, poor coding, etc., in the later Windows OS versions - 1 would truly think that supporting the older and MUCH more secure Windows OS's would be wise.
Yes, they have "holes", but overall much fewer than current OS's.
Plus, the bad actors are very busy exploiting 10 & 11 and pretty much have ignored the prior versions.
Question... what if a major exploit is found that affects all OS's from 11 down to unsupported?
Will Mozilla make sure to supply a patch to the unsupported due to the danger of the new & serious "hole" found?
I vote... it would be wise to maintain a small contingency of legacy developers to help those who cannot buy new systems or flat out HATE the UI & UX of the 10 & 11.

In a recent email Thunderbird sees an HTML message as plain text, and does not decode it. The message is decoded by my phone using "Email - Fast & Secure Mail by Edison Software". See attached screenshot. Normally Thunderbird suceeds where phone apps fail.

When I set controls to ask where to download items it bypasses that and downloads it as a temp file where I have to cut it out of explorer and paste it where I would like to save it.

I would like to be able to make sure if a pop-up window is blocked, that I'm being notified about it, but there are no options in settings.
I read through the instructions listed on the help pages and found a message from support from 4 years ago about manually editing the settings, which wasn't helpful.
Are they just on by default now? Or did they get turned off and if so, how do I turn them back on?
(p.s. having something teach you how to do something, this case getting trouble shooting data manually, should open another window, not navigate me away from the page I'm sending this message from)

But that doesn't work for me, it just makes the tabs less tall. I've tried switching to nightly and that didn't do anything so I'm pretty lost. I don't know CSS or anything so I cant do it myself.

Starting today (Apr 30), when trying to open firefox the following message appears:
"Firefox is running, but not responding. The old Firefox process must be closed to open a new window." My options are to close firefox or cancel.
When selecting close firefox, the message will reappear with the same options. I am unable to run.

I have recently installed Thunderbird email client which populated on its own and before I was asked for an address or Password! This may be by design which is not an issue as such. However, I noticed that none of my Laptop, WIN 10, Windows Live Mail subfolders were present.
I had imaged at some point I would have to import all my Folders and the emails from Window Live Mail using the importexporttools-3.3.2 program. I have also been made aware that sometimes the process would not be without errors. Nevertheless I forged ahead.
Unfortunately I have discovered there are odd emails missing. It seems I have two options to try and recover the missing contents. 1) To delete Thunderbird client altogether and fresh install, plus to import folders and emails again. Or 2) To repeat the import procedure by over writing, which will hopefully add the missing emails!
However, I have two questions, if I am able to over write. 1) Is it possible to repeat the import again? 2) Will the result be I end up with hundreds of duplicate emails as well as those missing emails?
Perhaps someone has experience of the outcome.

My email provider required me to migrate to a new server and advised setting up a new Account in Thunderbird. I did this and it successfully imported most or all of my stored emails from the old server. However, the import only preserved the first level of sub-folders (I have up to 3 levels). If I right-click on my email account in Thunderbird and choose Subscribe, I can still see the sub-folder structure there. Is there any way I can restore it so that it (a) shows the full collection of sub- and sub-sub folders in the tree; and (b) locates the correct emails in each sub-folder? If not, I face days of work to recreate sub-folders and move emails to their correct location. Thanks for any help!

I then run "firefox -allow-downgrade" from the command prompt and everything works fine... for a few days, when it happens all over again.
