Your instructions under "help" say to click on "Firefox" and click on "preferences". When I click on Firefox the menu does NOT have "Preferences" in it. What's up with that?? And how do I clear the cache and cookies?

As of January 2024, I am constantly being asked for a Primary Password when I use the Firefox browser. I do not believe I ever set a Primary Password or Master Password with Firefox, and I have been using Firefox for many years. When I go to the Settings page, it says to confirm my current Primary Password in order to change it. But I need to know my current password to do that. I also unchecked Primary Password, and got a pop-up that said if I remove my Primary Password my information will not be protected if my computer is compromised. Obviously, I don't want that to happen. Is it possible I am being asked for a Primary Password because I am using a VPN? Please advise on how to resolve this problem. I can't change my password, and I can't confirm ever setting one so I am concerned. Thank you.

I have a folder with multiple files in a Google drive. I want to share the folder with a person in :View only mode" where he cannot copy or download the files (while he is using the firefox browser). How can I do that ?

After a session with many tabs open, I will close the browser. It doesn't matter if I open browser immediately or the next day, or after rebooting computer, the same tabs remain.

This is the message I get. "Please unblock challenges.cloudflare.com to proceed." I can do nothing.

Things I've tried. Adding exceptions in the privacy settings in 2 seperate areas. Resetting Browser deafults. Turning off all vpn's and addons.

Nothing works.

I know this is an ongoing issue but it seems like nobody has mentioned it in a while so I figured I would stir it up again. I am fed up with the bookmark double spacing and having to scroll down all of the time.

If nothing else I would think that the Firefox team owes all of its loyal users an explanation as to why they don't seem to want to fix this probem.

I keep being told on certain websites to turn off my ad blocker. I don't have one. I don't even have one in the Extensions that's disabled. I have no idea how to get past this. What's turned on that I don't know about?

Yesterday the youtube website loaded fine. Today, if I type youtube.com in the address bar & hit enter it doesn't load.

I thought maybe a corrupt add-on so I removed all youtube related add-ons then rebooted the laptop.

No difference. YT wouldn't load.

It loads fine on edge.

Any ideas?

On Nintendo website, I would like to setup a passkey. When logged into nintendo.com, in settings, under passkeys, I see the following message "You can't use a passkey to sign in from this device". I can add a passkey using the same device in chrome. Device is Pixel 7 Pro. Firefox version 121.1.0 (Build #2015996455) can Firefox allow for me to create a passkey using 1password or hardware key? Is there a setting that needs to be enabled?

Recently, I've found I cannot successfully submit a superchat donation on Youtube while using Firefox. I was successful using Edge browser. Firefox asks to confirm the card number I'm using to chat, but then once acknowledged, the screen stays grey/white and doesn't ever clear to process the chat.

There is one site, where my IRA is located, ("mystreeetscape.com:") where I am never able to open my statements or retrieve tax documents. I get the message "Please wait while we retrieve your documents" but the circle just keeps going around forever. This has persisted for quite a while, and I would rather not download and use another browser if Firefox is able to work for this. I have not had this problem with any other bank accounts or financial places - eg: Fidelity is fine, etc.

Since installing NordVPN I am unable to login. FireFox will not accept my password. However, it works on my android phone. I have installed the NordPass extension but the problem persists. How do I fix this issue. I want Bitwarden to manage my passwords.

Hello, I am working on a web app where quite sizable around 45 mb webassembly module is used. The wasm file it self is cached by the browser but it is compiled to the device on every page refresh and it takes some time. I would like to cache this compiled module, but didn't find any information how this could be done except some 5 years old information about using indexed db and then information about removing that possibility.

How one could cache compiled web assembly module?

I'll not divulge my opinions of this FireFox add-on.

Preferences in user.js are added permanently to prefs.js and persist even after user.js is deleted. What if you want to specify preferences in a file, just like with user.js, but you don't want them to be made permanent? In other words, so that when the file is deleted, the prefs will be forgotten. Is there any way to do this?

Suddenly, yesterday when I opened my Microsft Outlook app, all is see is HUGE letters filing my entire desktop computer screen. As you can see in photo below, there is no way I can rea email this way. Same today. When I try another browser (Edge) the Outlook screen opens just fine, so it looks like a problem with Firefox.

I don't want to have to use Edge as a browser - I like Firefox!

I don't know how to fix this in Firefox. I don't rememebr making any changes to the programme - but I do undertake regular updates.

I searched Microsoft forum and opened the first link (https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us). On Firefox, Go back one page (back arrow) button was not working on this website.
