I had to delete Firefox on my iPhone because links in emails wouldn't open anymore. Yes, it was set for default.

When I re-installed it, the tabs don't close. I hit the X to make a webpage go away and open a new tab. Hit that X when I'm through. Then close an empty Firefox on my phone.

When I reopen Firefox, I get all these little miniature webpages of the tabs I closed. I don't want them. I closed them because I was through. This is wasting my time making me close them again and again ...

Please tell me how to set Firefox on my iPhone so that when I open it I get my homepage with shortcuts I have chosen and nothing else.

Tabs on android app "unload" themselves whenever I minimize the browser I'm 100% sure I've toggled an option to kill apps when they're minized in phone settings, and thus issue only happens with the Firefox browser and nothing else. I have the latest version.

As long as I have an incognito window open, Firefox will reopen old tabs everytime I open a new "regular" window, even if "Open previous windows and tabs" is unchecked.

how to permanently keep the warning about closing multiple tabs?

Every so often, probably due to an unseen update, when I press the red X at the top of of a page where multiple tabs are open, to see how many tabs are open, they disappear, and the preference option to not close multiple tabs without warning (which says the # of tabs open), has to be turned back on.

Hello. I was told viaApp Store review to come here and describe my issue. So I was hoping to upload my video to better show off what I am having major issues with. Unfortunately I cannot. So I'll settle with uploading the screencaps of what I see Everytime I go to a different tab in my plethora of tabs open.

The best way I can describe it is that I jump around tabs when I focus in on one, even if it's brief. And it's annoying to find out where I left off Especially when I open a new tab in the background. No other browser does that and if they did, it's been long fixed already.

So starting from the Homepage, I scroll up a bit to open up the next screenshot of Otakon. Once I go back to the tab page, I jump to a different area entirely, the last tab no where to be found but still present. So I then scroll up more to the definition of 'ambition' and then go back to the tab page. Now I'm back to where the Otakon tab was at. It's just lots of that using the browser and it's annoying especially if I'm doing a little shopping.

Sometimes randomly, but happens often when using EBay, clicking on link opens to a new blank tab. The tab lists about:blank. Sometimes the link will work after a couple tries, but sometimes can take more than 5 times to get the link to open. On some sites it can happen randomly, but it’s pretty repeatable while using eBay. I have deleted the app from iPad, did a hard reset, and reinstalled the app, but there is no difference in behavior. Behavior started with the most recent Firefox iOS update. Firefox iOS, Firefox 124.0 (39709), iPad iOS running all latest versions and updates as of 03/24.

Since the last update (123.4) I have this behavior in both iPadOS and iOS: when there's a link that opens in a new tab, most of the time the new tab will open an about:blank page instead of the actual link.

I noticed this happens as I use the browser more: if I force close it and reopen it, the links will usually load OK for the first 1-4 sites, but after a period (or loading a "heavy" site la Facebook) I can reproduce the error 90% of the time.

Happens on iPad Air 3 and iPhone 13 mini.

For the last month photos on my browser won’t open photos. I checked my setting and show photos tab was off which was weird so I turned it on then I was able to see photos but when I closed that tab opened a new tab it went back to no show. Totally Killer loves my Zilla

FF doesn't reliably open my last session. It used to but for nearly 18 months now it has become hit and miss. I have FF docked on my taskbar (Win 7 sp1) when I click it some times it opens all my tabs (I have it set to do that) but more frequently it doesn't and just opens one tab. Usually I catch it and in history select the tab showing many other tabs and I get it all back, but this doesn't always work like today, no option to do that because there's nothing there. When is it likely to be fixed, I've been complaining about this for months. I've even suggested FF collects a stack of last sessions (say 20) each time a session is closed and have a fixed entry for that in the menu, but nothing seems to change. I'm heartily sick of it, it's such a basic requirement of any browser and yet with FF it's just a pain in the neck.

Firefox for Linux has a bug where it is unable to drag a tab from a non-active window. As in, if the window focus is on Firefox window A and I try to drag a tab from Firefox window B to window A, I have to click first the window. I can't just intuitively drag the tab from a non-active window, because it will get ignored. It will just activate the window, ignoring the drag.

Firefox for Linux, running on Nobara KDE latest desktop. Confirmed also on KDE Neon latest desktop.

I'm having the same problem as this guy.

I have a large number of open tabs in Firefox on my iPhone, a mixture of old and very old. I've been trying to go through the tabs and deal with them -- in some sense they are all todo items that I left open at least semi-deliberately.

If I tap on a thumbnail to load a tab, Firefox instead loads a blank page. If I tap the address bar after that, Firefox loads the new tab page, not the site corresponding to the tab that I selected. If I tap and hold a tab's thumbnail, Firefox crashes.

It was the case temporarily (possibly a bug) that some of these tabs would place a TLS failure icon in the left of the address bar when selected, while the blank page was displayed. Tapping on that would display the tab title, but not the tab URL. No longer is that TLS failure icon ever visible.

I'm trying to configure Firefox not to switch from the current tab, when I open multiple bookmarks by either middle click bookmark folder or right click the bookmark folder and select Open All Bookmarks. I've already set about:config browser.tabs.loadBookmarksInBackground True browser.tabs.loadDivertedInBackground True browser.tabs.loadInBackground True

If I'm browsing a page, and then decide to open several bookmarks that are in a bookmark folder, either via middle click or right click->Open All Bookmarks, Firefox will still switch to the first open bookmark.

I've tried Shift+Middle click and this one opens the bookmarks, without switching from the current tab. And Ctrl+Shift+right click->Open All Bookmarks and this one opens the bookmarks, without switching from the current tab.

So how do I configure Firefox to just use middle click on a bookmark folder, and then not have it switch to the first open bookmark? Thank you!

When I open Firefox to my home page any additional tabs that I open keep crashing. The page tells me that it has crashed and there is a restore tab button there but that doesn't work and the crash message just comes back.

Since a while, when I click on a link in a Google search result, the link opens in a blank tab (about:blank). Opening the link via the context menu "open in new tab" works without any probem. This happens on a iPad with iPadOS 16.7.6 with Firefox 124.0 (39709). FF is set as standard browser. Does not happen in Safari or Chrome.

I’ll use the example of movie times. In the IMDB app you can pick movie times, that link sends you to my web browser (Firefox) which opens to the homepage, but that’s it. It doesn’t do anything else, it doesn’t even attempt to open a page. It’s been happening for a while. What am I doing wrong g?

I used System Restore in Windows because I lost my Search Engine in Firefox and it didn't exist in "Customize Toolbar" option. I researched how to get the Search Engine back but nothing worked. I thought System Restore would solve the problem. Now I can't restore my previous Firefox session. And I can't find a sessionstore.jsonlz4 file. I read you have to rename a file in sessionstore-backups folder to sessionstore.jsonlz4 but I don't know which file to rename. I also read you can restore a recent upgrade.jsonlz4 but that is dated 3/5/24. I loaded previous.jsonlz4 file using the Scrounger tool but that didn't restore the session I had. (The previous.jsonlz4 file is dated 3/22/24 about 45 minutes ago.) I want to restore the session I was using earlier in the day. And "Restore Session" option has disappeared from the Firefox History dropdown menu. I tried the "Restore Firefox" option but that didn't help anything and it made my dropdown menus disappear. I have no idea how to get the session back that I was using earlier in the day.

When I press the home button, the tab I was on remains in the background and a new tab is opened if I tap on one of the shortcuts. Is it possible to make it so that it stays in the same tab like on PC?
