I never delete history! But I noticed this since long time ago, e.g. I want to go on a website - I was recently on (if I closed it already) but it is not in immediate search history - it happened to me multiple times!

Also now: I was searching for one keyword a lot, like 50 times and in history are barely like 7 hits. No idea why it is not there!!!

Please help.

I have Pinned several websites that I visit often to the TOP SItes on my FF Home Page. They randomly disappear or shift from where I place them. Why are they not staying in place when they are "Pinned"? Annoying that I have to continuously do this. I am using FF Version 87.0

today is 4/8. my inbox suddenly only displays email back to 3/35, yesterday it displayed back to 3/24. stranger, is that the emails are not even on file with our email host (in-motion)

In-motion seems to think it has something to do with a recent Thunderbird upgrade

is there a setting somewhere??

Ok, so like the title says.. Years ago, Firefox changed from having the normal "File Edit View History" etc. as the default interface and tried to streamline everything into icons. I have no idea why. Maybe it had something to do with the mobile version. With a few customizations I was able to get the old look back, with my address bar.

Then a while back the address bar changed. It used to be that the address bar had a drop down that listed the sites you used most frequently. At some point mine just sortof froze and only lists the same 8 sites. Except its worse because 2 of them are now searches for Google and Amazon and not even the original google or amazon web pages. I cannot delete pages from this list like I could in the past, either.

Also, you could, you know... put an address in the address bar and it would take you directly to that site. Now it tries to do a search just as often as it actually takes me to the correct site.

This forcing search engines baffles me, because there's an actual search bar, right directly next to the address bar by default.

So if someone could help me understand how I can change my address bar back to being an address bar, that would be a great help to me. Second, if I could fix the drop down of sites to either be my most frequent sites, or a list of sites I add manually, that would be great also.

There are ongoing discussions about the high touchpad scrolling sensitivity on several Wayland applications like Firefox. Luckily, I found a workaround with this issue by setting `apz.gtk.kinetic_scroll.enabled` to `false` and increasing the default value of `general.smoothScroll.mouseWheel.durationMinMS` from `50` to `120`. However, there is still minor quirk with my scrolling experience especially at the end of each scroll or each time I pause scrolling.

This minor quirk has a lot to do with how I do the two-finger scroll gesture. For each scroll, I don't necessarily lift my fingers up immediately. I might pause for a while then scroll further until my finger reaches the end of the touchpad or I might scroll in the opposite direction without lifting my finger up. However, just having two of my fingers rest on the touchpad detects even the slightest movement. The effect is a page slightly shakes each time I pause scrolling without lifting my fingers up. Although, this minimal shake also occurs as I lift my finger up.

This behavior is detailed in a bug report here . It might have something to do with Wayland but based on my experience, the issue still persists when running Firefox through XWayland. Also, Vivaldi (Chromium) which also runs in XWayland, doesn't show this problem. In Vivaldi, the touchpad will be less sensitive (at least that's how it feels for me) each time I pause scrolling.

I already tried fiddling with the following through the `about:config` to no avail:

• apz.touch_move_tolerance
• apz.touch_start_tolerance
• mousewheel.transaction.ignoremovedelay
• mousewheel.transaction.timeout

In the From box I can enter my address as say 'georges@abc.org.uk' and all goes well, but if the address is of a format such as 'georges@abc.me.uk' it will not be accepted. What's wrong ?

Hello everyone,

I am a suscriber of an association newsletter and sometimes they ask us to write someone an e-mail. They have already written it, so there is just a button/link in the newsletter to click, and the pre-filled mail window opens and we just have to send it.

But since a few months now I can't open those links. And I don't know why. When I try, a new tab opens but it loads indefinitely. Here are some screens of what I see (I'm French, so my Thunderbird is set to my language).

I have searched, but not found an answer to this. How can I shut off Numlock, which, apparently is ON by default in Firefox? I use the keypad for direction, not numbers. The problem is just in Firefox, not other programs. Please help. Thank you.

I used to have lots of messages in my Trash. I sometimes go back and look for messages for information that I forgot and now there are only ones for the last week. Is there a setting to change that?

Also I had lots of recurring tasks and they have disappeared. What happened there? Can I retrieve those now?

I'd like to search a folder for a named attachment, but I can't work out how to do it. When I select "Attachment" in the first column of the "Search Messages" window, no matter what I put in the second column (e.g., "is", "begins with") and no matter what I put in the third column (including the name of, or first letter of, an attachment known to be in the folder being searched), I always get the same result: "No matches found". A solution would be greatly appreciated as it is not an uncommon for me to need this kind of search. Thanks, Ian.

What is the nature of the "Disconnect" agency whose solicitation appears as a tab page from Firefox requesting donations? Please explain who is "Disconnect." From the web address it is not clear what the connection is with Mozilla. What is the difference between donating via the "Disconnect" and donating via the route provided under the "about Firefox" menu item? Presumably "Disconnect" is servicing Mozilla, yet I am wishing that relationship and security to be clarified more convincingly before contributing by that route. Thanks for responses.

This all started after last firefox upgrade/update a few weeks ago so installed gmail chrome which works fine.

Even reistalled OS & then worked ok till firefox did it’s own updae.

I have deleted & reinstalled a couple of times but same problem.

I use Linux Ubuntu 20.04.2LTS on an older (+/- 5 year) HP Pro 3130 MT a 64 bit machine. Chuck

Hi, I'm having this issue for sometime now and I can't find a reason why this is happening. I have Windows 10 Pro configured to use Dark Mode, and Thunderbird set to use the system's color theme.

Some of the emails listed in my inbox appear in black text against a dark background, making them virtually unreadable (check attached screenshot).

Also, I do not have any high contrast settings enabled in the Windows settings and I've tried switching options in Thunderbird's color settings but those didn't make any relevant change. Does anyone have
