I have recently moved from both Internet Explorer and Chrome to Firefox and have found that a site that was secure on those other browsers is NOT secure on Firefox and I'm curious as to why that is and what it means for my continual use of this site.

Unable to view stock chart for 5 day, 3mo, 6mo etc. selected time frame. Default is 1 day with other time frame offerings, to be selected. These views were available in the past and are available with other browsers. After last upgrade the selections are no longer responsive. What setting needs to be addressed. I can't seem to wake this up.

After automatic windows update to version 1607 and subsequent removal of same, using firefox for online billpay and when I closed the browser it seemed fine. When I went to restart, screen came up to ask if I wanted to start in safe mode. I did not click for safe mode and after finally getting firefox to reopen, all data was gone. No bookmarks. Tried to trouble shoot but no success. Any help greatly appreciated.

I just updated Adobe Flash Player to the latest version 23.0.0.185 on my Windows 10 laptop using Firefox 49.0.1. When I ran the test page from Adobe (http://www.adobe.com/shockwave/welcome/), I noticed that the new Flash Player was working, but my Shockwave Player was not. I found a newer version of Shockwave Player 12.2.5.195 and installed that. Still no go. I uninstalled Shockwave Player from Control Panel, rebooted, and reinstalled the new version of Shockwave Player. Still no go. I know this was working the last time I updated Flash Player, which was mid last month. However, it has stopped working. The list of Addons shows the new version of Shockwave for Director installed and active. I set it to always activate, but the test page still shows nothing.

I tried Shockwave in IE, and it works fine there. Does anyone have any idea why Shockwave Player would stop working? Is some plugin possibly blocking it? I do have NoScript but allowed on the Adobe Test page. I also have Adguard which is new, but I see no settings there that would affect it. Thanks.

Firefox is blocking Google and all results through Google. I don't have the option to except Google. This started yesterday.

When I checked this morning, one of my WordPress sites only displayed a few of its images in Firefox, although they all display fine in Chrome, Internet Explorer and Vivaldi. I've tried disabling all add-ons, which didn't help. So I backed up my profile and updated to Firefox 49.0.2, which seemed to fix it. But after about 15-20 minutes, I saw that the problem returned. And there aren't even place-holders displaying... the images just aren't there. Also, when I go to the media library, NONE of those images display there, although their descriptions are all present when I click on them. And if I snag their URLs and enter them directly into my address bar, Firefox displays them fine. I had a friend check with FF too, and everything loaded fine. I'd really appreciate any ideas on where this problem might exist. It seems to only be a problem when FF goes to my pages, because the images will load independently. This has me thoroughly stumped! Hello, for the past 2 days my Firefox on my laptop has been acting weird when it has suddenly refreshed itself. When I go to the Add-ons page, the graphics looks very poor (see attached image) and so does Youtube. I went to see if any plugins were having issues and saw that the Java toolkit is at some vulnerable state and cannot be accessed (Firefox simply won't let me to that Java page as it is untrusted). I was trying to re-install the Session manager add on, but the entire graphics of that Add-ons' page looks disabled. My Firefox is up to date, according to the to Firefox itself. Please advise me what to do, as I would very much like to get my old (proper working) Firefox back, and which would be the best way to uninstall it, as clearly that didn't work either?

The majority of videos I try to play all fail. A few short weeks ago everything on YouTube played fine, now it's more of a hassle than it is worth, trying to look at YouTube videos.

The majority of websites with embedded links to videos and embedded videos also mostly fail. As of now my Firefox will not play the majority of videos around the web.

Something has changed and I didn't hear about it - videos all of a sudden crashing and burning. Twitter videos will not play. Videos on Grabien.com all fail.

This is a new feature that has just appeared, but I don't need it (it's indicated in a red box in the attached screenshot). However, it takes up space on the bookmarks pop-up window. I suppose it's a sign that I need to clean and organize my bookmarks, but I still would prefer to turn it off so it doesn't appear in the pop-up. I'm using Firefox 49.0b1 on a 2013 MacBookPro running OS 10.10.5 Thanks!

I just installed FF 49.0 on a new computer. I am unable to stream video on the CBS site. I get the message "This video is unavailable because we were unable to load a message from our sponsors. If you are using ad blocking software, please disable it and reload the page. " I have not installed any ad blocking software I know of and find nothing in Security or Privacy that appears restrictive.

I had a major update of Windows10 automatically, a few days ago since then my battery dies very quickly when I looked up laptopmag.com/articles/battery-saver-windows-10> I eventually found where I could look at what was using the battery up. It stated that firefox is using 49% of battery each time the laptop is turned on. Could someone tell me how I fix this please. Never had any problems before the Windows10 update.

about:preferences#security stored login information show passwords

The opened window for stored login information and show passwords is too small and cannot be changed in window size. There is no useful handling and the opened tabs in stored login information cannot be seen in full size. In earlier versions of mozilla firefox there was always the possibility to change the window size. If the passwords are shown too, the window-size is more smaller too and not possible to change.

Could this be updated for changing the window size in stored login information ?

I got a new computer running El Capitan and the latest Firefox rev to replace my older computer, but YouTube STILL won't play. WTF ???

I just updated Flash a few days ago as well.

Firefox 49.0.2 I have flash player set to "Ask to Activate" on the plugins page, with "protected mode" on.

On some bbc.com pages flash runs anyway. On some bbc.com pages it doesn't run saying "you need flash..." in the video pane. Even on a page where it runs it may first say it doesn't run as in the previous sentence, and then after a pause start up. On such a page, there is still a grey plugin icon to the left of the URL, which if clicked in shows two buttons, "allow flash now" and "allow and remember".

I cannot change flash settings for such a page because when I get the Page Info dialog up from any web page whatsoever, and look under the Permissions tab, flash is not listed! All other plugins are there apart from a codec.

What can I do to get control of flash. I do not want any exceptions to "Ask to Activate".

I've tried everything here, gone to the "about:config" page, "YouTube HTML5" page, changed the settings reverted Firefox to its stock form, updated my computer drivers, make sure that Firefox is up to date, and yes, looked online for a solution. Firefox will still not play videos on YouTube in 60fps. When I tired the whole, "about:config" fix the first time it worked but after that one occurrence it stopped playing at 60fps. I looked at Edge and at Chrome and both play at that frame rate with ease, I'd hate to jump ship but if a browser as established as Firefox can't do something as simple as that, I may very well have to.

I restarted my computer and now Firefox won't run my BitDefender Wallet password app. When I check in Add-ons Manager it now says that it could not be verified and has been disabled. There doesn't appear to be any way to enable this app. It works fine in Google CHROME! I use this app. all the time and this causes me a great deal of inconvenience. I've been using this app for many, many months. I haven't updated Firefox recently so why has this happened. Lately I have been having a number of issues with Firefox and I am getting frustrated and thinking about changing to Chrome. I have been using Firefox for many years.I'm using version 49.0.2.

I am running Firefox with Sync on 3 different machines. I can no longer sync my bookmarks because they continuously duplicate. It got to the point where my browser was unusable. I've already reinstalled on all machines with a fresh profile and thought I would be okay to sync my bookmarks again, but when I logged in this morning my bookmarks had duplicated again, at least 3 times. Thankfully this time I was able to remove bookmarks from sync and delete the extras without having to blow everything up, but I'd really like to be able to keep my bookmarks in sync again.

Once or twice a day my firefox resets like I would open it first time, while synced to account. Every time I have to sync it back, and then sometimes the sites, bookmarks or passwords dont appear, so i have to retype them all again

Recently got an HP Officejet Pro 8710 printer which is wireless enabled. Firefox will not print to it. It appears to send the page off to the printer. The print queue appears but there are no documents. It makes no difference what I'm printing - an email, a page from a newspaper/newsclip, or a product description from a retailer. No error messages are produced.

I can print just fine from Microsoft IE or Microsoft Edge. I can print fine from locally installed apps like MS Office. Am running a Thinkpad E545 with Windows 10 installed. Windows 10 is current on all updates. I've run a full Lenovo hardware scan/diagnostic and the laptop came up clean. I've checked Lenovo support and no problems have been reported either by users or support team. However, I did discover an old post (03/20/2014) on Mozilla in which the user could not print to a wireless Cannon printer. After several pages, I found that a plug-in utility installed by the Cannon printer installer caused the problem. I checked the plug-in table and HP installed no plug-in. Have installed all HP drivers for new printer. Am running current version (49.0.2) of Firefox.

I can print to the wireless printer from Firefox running on a Surface Pro with Windows 10. I would really appreciate some help here. Thanks.
