Installed new email account in thunderbird, closed old email account, but can't delete old email as delete button is greyed out. Keep getting many popups to login to old email or create new password which must be closed to keep using thunderbird. All saved emails have been moved from old account to new

I've noticed this issue happening randomly, some of my toolbar bookmarks listed on the sidebar just up and disappear from view. As if they were never there. But I know they're still saved because when I click to Manage Bookmarks and check them there, they show up fine. The toolbar just randomly hides them for whatever reason, and I can only fix it by closing Firefox and opening it again.

I'm on the current version. I remember accessing about:support and clicking on Verify Integrity while trying troubleshoot some other issue, but don't know if that could've caused it though.

This is driving me insane. On mobile data (3,4,5g) Firefox will not open any websites, it just sits with a white page until eventually I get "connection reset". Every other browser on the device works fine though, and Firefox can access sites when on WiFi.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled the main app *and* installed focus,beta and nightly versions,all have the same problems. Permissions on mobile data are allowed.

I cannot even get a sensible log or network trace out of the browser as there are no Dev tools.

It sometimes feels like Mozilla are trying their absolute hardest to lose users, I even had had the old "browser uses 12gb of memory for two tabs" problem on desktop the other week.

I updated Thunderbird from version 102.14.0 to version 115.1.0 and I have a problem. I don't see any emails, nor folders, nor accounts, nothing. Only on startup do I see the accounts being updated and new mail being downloaded. I can see all the accounts in the account settings. But I can't access the emails. Can you please advise how to solve this problem? Profim can no longer be returned to version 102.14.0. Please help quickly. Well thank you.

Hi all,

Just upgraded to Thunderbird 115(from the last Non beta version).

I have multiple email accounts.

When I click to the inbox off one of my gmail accounts it does not display to the last message received. Thunderbird opens to a message about 1/4 up into my inbox.

I have a second gmail account and this behavior does not occur.

I'm sure its a easy fix, I just can't figure it out .

Firefox on Android is great, but you can't move your shortcuts, edit the URL for them or sync them with desktop.

Am I missing something? Since it's easy to do this very basic thing that most other browser's have by default?

I can't find an answer to this, and if it's by design, then why? It makes no sense to not have a basic feature like this in a browser.

My PC automatically upgraded the Thunderbird email software - which was a pain as it required a lot of setting up and customisation, however this has all now been done apart from one issue.

I cannot change the font of the displayed incoming emails, or the font of the folders.

How can I change the font of these? and what was the font for these on previous versions?

The new updates are horrible

I've been using TBird for a very long time and am thinking of leaving.

Fonts are now tiny. Can't read my mail without a struggle.

Even changing font size to be bigger in settings isn't helping, even after a restart. Fonts in mail are all too small to see. I don't have any system override set either.

Are you trying to drive older / disabled people away? Feels like it.

Please give one-button option for old look.

At this point I want to revert to last version but can't find download for old version.

Can you help me fix this please, or please show me link to get last version, and turn off updating.

For future: allow in updates to keep old look even with security upgrades. (I'd love even the old icon, but I'm sure that's asking a lot.)

IF THE LOOK ISN'T BROKEN, DON'T FIX IT. Making someone modern while tossing old users under the bus doesn't seem like your style, until today.

p.s. I'm sure other people have this problem but it's not clear how to find this forum. I first just replied to one of your tweets, but I doubt that will be read.

Hi I have been using thunderbird for a long time and in the last couple of days, it will not download emails for any of my accounts. I am running Version 115.3.1 from my desktop machine. My laptop which is running Version 102 will download emails from all my accounts. I am assuming the latest upgrade has affected the downloads.

I am trying to re-establish one of my email accounts in Thunderbird using a new OS (fresh install for both OS and Thunderbird). Auto settings work just fine until it gets to verifying my password where it fails. This is a password that was used for a previous account in Thunderbird on my previous OS where it worked without issue. I can go to my provider and log in using this password without issue. I have not yet tried changing the password as I can't rationalize why that should matter. Actually, I logged onto this site using that password. So, I know it works.

2) When playing 4k videos at 60fps on YouTube, all my android devices with either Fenix/Developer installed, lose about 90% of frames. Even 4k 30fps videos do not stutter/lose any frames.

Hello,

I have not been able to send or receive emails for the past 4 days using Thunderbird.

Before I went on vacation on Friday 22nd September 2023, I was able to send and receive my emails on my wendyp@wn.com.au address using Thunderbird on my computer. Since I got back on Monday (25th) I have not been able to send or receive any emails. Nothing has been changed in the Thunderbird settings.

At first, I thought Thunderbird might need to be updates. I did an update, to no avail. Current Thunderbird version is 115.2.3 (64bit). My computer is running Windows 10.

I use Bitdefender for protection and I turned off the virus and firewall to see if that helped, but it didn't.

I don't believe it is my actual webmail server, as I have been able to get my wendyp emails through my Android phone and by logging into my webmail account. I have also been able to send emails, with no issues using this method as well.

The strange thing is, I have another email address (page3@westnet.com.au) on the same Thunderbird program on my computer, and that one is having no problems whatsoever. Again, both settings have not been touched in the past few days.

Please find attached screen shots of the alerts from my wendyp@wn.com.au account.

The first attachment is when I try to request new emails from the server on Thunderbird.

The second attachment is when I try to send an email using Thunderbird.

The third attachment are my wendyp@wn.com.au email settings, which I have not changed at all.

I hope to hear from you soon, so this can be rectified.

When I try to print e mails from Thunderbird on some occasions the only option I get when I press Print is to Save as PDF. If I restart the Print Spooler in Windows 11 it then gives me the Print Options in the dialogue box. It seems as if Thunderbird is causing the Print Spooler to stop. All other functions for documents and spreadshets, PDF documents print fine

Since installing Supernova, I find a huge (multiple minute) delay whenever I open a folder to a new tab or window. There was zero delay on the prior version to open a folder, so it appears to be specific to Supernova. I'm surprised that no one else has mentioned it on the forums yet, so it seems it might just be something about my particular setup. Can anyone help me diagnose what I might be doing wrong?

So my last thread on this was archived without anyone giving me a reason or answering my question.

I have had issues with the website Archive of Our Own since last November, when I tried to change the site skin and permanently changed the default font of that site to something called Lucida Sans Unicode, when it's apparently meant to be Lucida Grande.

This much I was able to work out via my previous thread, but when I asked for that last bit of help, nobody answered and my thread was instead archived.

I don't know how to change a font on a specific website. I don't even know if the site has tools I could use that would work for me. All I know is I still cannot read bold or italics on Archive of Our Own with my screen-reader, NVDA, unless I use reader view, which excludes author's notes and comments, and I had thought I was close to a breakthrough before my thread was unceremoniously archived.

Hi, the official Firefox docs recommend copying and restoring the entire profile directory. That doesn't work when restoring a profile created on Linux, on Mac, it seems. Neither for Thunderbird, by the way.

Is there a proper way to do this, or should I experiment with each of the files (databases, configurations, etc.) one by one? Thanks!
