When running Thunderbird in Dark Mode, the message pane (that shows the message when you select it from your inbox) still has a white background. This makes perfect sense, because a dark background can easily mess up HTML mails.

Which I know because the compose / reply window does have a dark background, making it all but impossible to read what you're replying to if it was a HTML mail.

I would like to set the view and reply window to use the same background. Can this be achieved or is this a bug?

i’m trying to open blackboard.com but it keeps telling me ( Did not Connect: Potential Security Issue ) some youtube guides say that you can modify the enterprise security roots from *false* to *true* and it will work, but is it safe to do that? and is there any solution the problem?.

Today I installed a new extension (Bitwarden) and want to add the icon to the toolbar. I can't find it anywhere. The add-on shows up in the add-on manager but there's nothing there to help me add the icon. The little puzzle piece in the upper right of the browser -- click on that and Bitwarden isn't listed.

How do I fix this? In Chrome there's a simple toggle switch in the extension manager to add the icon to the toolbar. Frankly, if I can't get this Bitwarden icon to display I can't use Firefox at all. Thanks.

All Add-ons are disabled and Firefox still can not play SOME of the videos on twitter. All I can see is a spinning circle on the center of the frame and the video will never be played. I tried other browsers and they all works well. It seems this issue has nothing to do with my network connection.

I searched this forum and find out some thread reporting issues of not playing All videos on youtube/twitter. Replies to these thread provided some solutions ,like update ffmpeg , set media related options in about:config. I tried them all and neither of them work for me.

Hello, Firefox randomly downloaded a file, with seemingly randomly name, that is 0 bytes and in download manager the source is moz-safe-about. It happened when I was accessing a popular wiki site. I opened the file in notepad, it was empty. I put it on virus total and came back negative, as it is an empty file. I've curbed through the support tickets here, using the keyphrase 'moz-safe-about'. I understand this was/is quite a common problem, but it still makes me quite worried and left a sour taste in my mouth, as I haven't understood any of the explanations. I have enabled firefox to ask me whenever it wants to save something (I have no idea why this isnt the default state). Happened on a somewhat fresh, updated win 11 installation. I'm also attaching more information here with a picture. Long story short: should I be worried? Am I overreacting and this is just some sort of a bug that occurred while getting a sites data? When I open the Manage Bookmarks in Firefox I have thousands (not exaggerating) of recently bookmarked items. How to I delete all of them? I think I turned that feature off via the browser.bookmarks.showRecentlyBookmarked. I changed it from True to False I have tried deleting them one by one but it seems like they recreate and I am not making any progress deleting. How do I delete all of them?

I can receive emails but cannot send. The error message I get when sending emails. This began as of the most recent Thunderbird update:

I am unable to connect to mozilla website using firefox. It works fine on other browsers, but i get an "we're having trouble finding that site" error. I am able to open other sites on firefox.

Thunderbird v 115.5.0 running Windows 10 When editing an existing filter to add an additional conditions the edit web page fills the laptop screen to where the "submit" button is off the bottom of the screen and cannot be accessed. The page cannot be re-sized. Setting laptop screen to higher resolution has no effect
