I recently switched from outlook to gmail. With that i exported all my old mails and took them with me. I did this via some app that google built (g suite migration tool).
The process went very smooth at first, but then i noticed that i got 2-3x duplicate of each mail imported.
After searching for alternatives to fix this issue i noticed that Thunderbird seemd like a good option. So i downloaded it and feelt stupid for not switching 5-6 years ago to it. It feels way smoother and easier to navigate and manage my inbox.
It also came with some cool addon to remove all the duplicate e-mails and it worked like a charm.....
Until today. Every time i start Thunderbird it seems like its downloading all the mails from the gmail (IMAP) and i have to use the duplicate addon again and again to remove all the dupes.
Somehow it feels like Thunderbird is not syncing the "All mail" directory to the gmail server, because every restart it keeps downloading over 4 000 duplicate mails.
Am i doing something wrong or is it some setting i totaly missed out on? Or maybe i don't understand how the "All mail" directory works?
Thanks in advance
