After a recent catastrophic failure of my hard drive, I'm starting anew with a fresh install on Windows (102.5.1 64 bit). The install seemed to go fine, and adding accounts went fine, but Thunderbird is not displaying any folders or messages. This thread seemed to be closest to my problem, but the solutions that applied did not work, and the extended discussion seemed to diverge from my problem.

Problem: No folders or messages being displayed Details: - Accounts seem to be connected - I am getting pop up alerts when new messages come in - I CAN send emails using "Write" - This is a default install with no add-ons added yet, just trying to get startup functionality - using IMAP

Is it possible to replace windows Outlook Email on my Windows 7 Computer and keep my current email address? I need to stay with Windows 7. I'm using an older Version of SoftPlan drafting software that suits my needs that is not compatible in a computer running Windows 8 or beyond. Not fond of Google and would switch to Foxfire if needed.

I have a new desktop running Windows 10. I've had Thunderbird as a mail client for years, but I can't import the old settings from the old computer. Part of it is that I have only the default profile to work from; I no longer have access to the entire older installation.

I've tried two ways: Import from another Thunderbird installation, but it apparently does not recognize that default profile file. I get an error message saying: "Import failed unexpectedly, more information may be available in the Error Console." However, there is no indication of where I can find the Error Console.

So I tried setting up a new account, with the old password and user name, which I can still use to access my inbox online. But I get another error message saying the password is not correct. No matter what I change it to, whether the secure mail key or the latest password, it says the password is incorrect.

Please help!

I was updating Firefox on my on my computer, Mac OS 10.11.6( I know, I know…). Now The current version of FF won’t run and I am unable to upgrade the operating system because it so old. Is there a way to figure out which version of FF I had? Its slightly overwhelming to look at the choices of older versions to download. Any help is appreciated. Been a FF supporter forever and love it!

Hi, I just paid $99.00 for the update to microsoft office on my macbook pro. The download will not open due to the message: "Microsoft_Office_16.67.22111300_Installer.pkg” cannot be opened because it is from an unidentified developer. It cannot verify this app is free from malware."

It is a purchase from the microsoft website. Is there a way to set up firefox to allow opening this installer? Thanks.

I Deleted [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Mozilla\Firefox]. Enterprises Policies now gone, but message hasn't changed nor can I update.

I had an issue with Macbook Pro. Apple support had to wipe and reinstall hard drive. Firefox is my default browser and I was signed in. When we reinstalled Firefox on my new hard drive, I signed in and there's nothing there -- no booksmarks, history toolbar, etc.

Can i still get back that information?

WE recently changed email providers so I backed up thunderbird all folders to msf files plus files without extension (sbd?) Our email address on the old server is now dead, so I cannot create an account in Thunderbird with the old settings to retrieve the emails and email addresses. Ultimately I would like these emails on an excel spreadsheet but reckoned I would have to recreate them in thunderbird 1st. I am self taught and reasonably savvy but to me this is brain surgery. Is there any wizard out there who can steer me through this minefield please with an idiot-proof guide. Thanks

I've been using Thunderbird for years and have upgraded many times. I've never had any major issues until just now. I upgraded from a recent 91 version to the latest 102 version as of today (11/15/2022). I upgraded on a Windows 8.1 computer. Did the upgrade because I'm setting up a new Windows 11 computer and I want to migrate my Thunderbird email over to the new computer. Thought it would be best to use the newest version on the new computer, so wanted to migrate from the newest version from my old computer. After upgrading I opened Thunderbird and it got stuck dealing with two gmail accounts I have configured in it. Cursor was circling and on one account my Inbox showed empty. I have two other accounts with other email providers and they both seemed to be OK. I closed Thunderbird and reopened it and the same thing happened. I logged into my gmail account on the google web site and my Inbox was empty. It was not empty prior to the upgrade. I deleted the gmail accounts from Thunderbird for now. Tried to reconfigure one of them and it told me it already exists. Don't think I have any way to recover my Inbox emails at this point. Not happy! I plan to downgrade back to 91. I made a copy of my profile file before the upgrade, so I will use the backup copy when I downgrade and hope I don't lose anymore email. Don't see any way to report bugs, so I'm posting this here. Firefox is my preferred browser and I really prefer the Firefox Engine over Chromium that most other browsers use.

I want to install a backup browser that runs the Firefox Engine in case my Firefox browser has a problem.

I searched a lot and I thought installing this would be the best option: https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/developer/

However, I’m worried that installing the Firefox developer edition will change my Firefox installation…

I've been experiencing weird downloads whenever I startup firefox. My antivirus prevents the download, and says that firefox.exe is the application responsible. I will include an image of the antivirus(Kaspersky) report. Deleting and reinstalling firefox seemed to fix the problem, but it returned after sometime; even when I just used youtube on firefox(I've tried this atleast 3 different times now). I am not sure if this is caused by one of my extensions, or if there is something else I've done to cause this. I'd just like to know if there is a way to fix it?
