After the update to 128.5.1esr the browser restarted and it had the default search providers again. Why??? I was not prompted to approve it, there was no notification either. This is the st*pid sh*t which pushes users away from Firefox.

I absolutely hate Bing in the first place.

I need help transferring my bookmarks to a new Mac computer I created a Mozilla account, that was verified, but on the new computer I cant find anywhere to enable "sync now" Can you help me transfer these bookmarks?

Dear Sirs, I got a letter about a donation to support Thunderbird and I payed 200 SEK. I was connected to https://updates.thunderbird.net/sv-SE/thunderbird/128.0/nov24/

Is it OK? Or did I a mistake?

Team, I am a longtime user and supporter of FF. I can't tell you how much I love the the layout of Firefox on Windows in v. 133 with the vertical tabs. Just as important is the fantastic, new font rendering. Thank you so much. I used to make multiple adjustments to the font in about:config when I installed FF on Windows. Now, the fonts look fantastic out of the box. Great job, team!

Nov 2024 - How Do I disable Threads in the Email folders?

My Inbox I think I somehow disabled, but my SENT folder....still has them. Please help. I HATE this as a default setting that can not be turned off...Universally..(in all folders)

Been using Firefox since the 90s and been on Mac since 2000s. This problem has been happening for about a year, throughout three macbooks (my old one, a temp one, and my new one) and multiple Firefox updates. I'm always updated and always clear cookies daily.

The failure to move bookmarks I can overcome by rebooting Firefox with a Forced Quit. If I only have to do this every few weeks, then no biggy reinserting all my passwords for all the different sites I use (and no, I don't want to use password managers, I don't trust them)

Today it happened within hours of Force Quitting Firefox, this is too much!!!

The only reason I didn't report this problem earlier is I simply expected an eventual newer version of Firefox to fix this bug.

Normal behaviour: click-drag bookmark within bookmark menu pull-down to position where I want bookmark Failure behaviour: click-drag fails to move bookmark, until I reboot Firefox, then it works again

In the middle of using Thunderbird it froze. I restarted it and it gave me a screen asking for all of my email credentials. It then started an install of the most recent release of Thunderbird (which I was not trying to do) whereby it needed to download all of my past emails, settings, etc. My Quick Text add-on was completely deleted and much of my "Sent Email" box was deleted along with all the tags I had assigned to my emails.

I am just looking for the version of the Thunderbird I was using up until 8:00 last night. Is there a way to get back to it? This is horrific timing as well since I am at the height of my busy season with work. Any help or insight would be greatly appreciated.

I'm stuck in an endless loop with T-Bird this morning – each time I try to open T-Bird, I get the "Your computer must be restarted to complete a previous upgrade of Thunderbird. Do you want to reboot now?" popup.

Yes, I do want to reboot. And I've done it four times already. And each time I reboot, I get the same popup.

So ... what is the workaround? What is the fix?

I'm using Windows, and whatever the browser version of T-Bird is. I would tell you which version, but I can't open my email program.

Unable to login to my Gmail via Thunderbird 128.5.1esr (64-bit) on Win11 (x64). I'm using OAuth2 and the google mail SMTP servers that autopopulate once I type my gmail address. The google login window pops up in a new window within Thunderbird & upon logging in via my Security Key nothing happens. The Security Key PIN gets accepted and the google login screen just sits and waiting for security key login. After I close the Google Login window Thunderbird says "Unable to log in at server. Probably wrong configuration, username or password.

Unable to add Gmail account(s) with 2FA Security Key. Login window shows up, I enter my PIN & nothing happens. See attached screenshot for the screen I get stuck at after entering my PIN.

Sehr geehrte Damen und Herren, seit gestern kann ich keine E-Mails bei Thunderbird mehr empfangen oder versenden. Es kommt die Meldung: "Der Server ist ausgefallen oder es gibt Netzwerkprobleme." Bis Sept. 2024 war ich bei "1und" und bin ab Okt. 2024 wegen Umstellung auf Glasfaser bei BBV-TONI. Was kann ich tun? Wie kann die Störung behoben werden?
