Updated to 102.3.1 today. Have been using Tbird for 10+ years and this is the first time I have run into this problem. Did nothing else w/ thunderbird but the update. Everything works fine, BUT my current message filter rules are no longer working. All my message rules (and I have over 300) are enabled. I have tried multiple times to run the filter on my main folder but nothing. It only works if I create a duplicate message rule/filter. IT would be cumbersome to have to redo all my filters. Any suggestions?/help?

Hello everyone, I was following a privacy guide and i changed the cookies settings in about:config . I set the value of network.cookie.cookieBehavior to 4, which according to this article means that total cookies protection is disabled. https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/total-cookie-protection-and-website-breakage-faq

My questions are the following:

1- How do i enable total cookies protection after what i changed  ?


2-Which is better from a privacy point of view setting network.cookie.cookieBehavior to 4 or enabling total cookies protection?

Today Thunderbird auto updated to 102.2.0 (32-bit) on Win7 64bit, have been using Thunderbird for many years.

When you search in the email for something theresults are show as usual and you might have 100 hits Then normal if you click the "Show result as list" you will have a list with..... 100 item where it's fast to pick the one you need.

After today update the "Show results as list" are empty except if the a mail in from today.

Is this kind of a new settings I will need to tweek to see all the results as list or is it a bug?

I realise you can do this manually by selecting the folder to save it to but it's something I do often and am used to not having to do this with a certain other browser

I am using Windows 10 on a desktop PC. Since the "upgrades" to 102.3.0 and 102.3.1, I spend most of my time in Thunderbird waiting for the Not Responding message to clear. Every time I open or write or delete or move messages: Not Responding. Just opening the program takes several minutes. So I now try to leave it open all day .. unless I forget ...

Pop up Task alerts: Last night I should have received 2. Instead there were 544. "Mark Completed" no longer works.

I've cleared the cache, cleared recent history, had my PC guy look at my hard drive (no problems found). I've used Thunderbird for many years without any issues with earlier versions. This is beyond frustrating.

Hello, ever since we moved endpoints from Firefox ESR 91.13 to 102.3, it has become impossible to play any media with Firefox.

No video will play in youtube, for instance (it just loads endlessly as if it would start, but it doesn't).

Can't use radio websites either. Anything with a "play" button (video or sound) does nothing.

This has been tested with a clean profile, a clean install, after allowing autoplay in the settings.

Is there any info on what exactly changed between ESR 91 and 102 that might explain this ? There has been no system change, If I reinstall 91 instead it works again as usual.

No issues anywhere else on the endpoints (Edge, Windows), this is on Windows 10 if it makes any difference.

It's kind of hard to describe aside from the title.

Only happens when I am using the drop down bookmarks toolbar. When I right-click on an item to bring up the menu, it flickers for an instant, then hides behind the bookmarks drop down menu. Ok, so I guess I could explain it a bit more.

I was trying to use the Private Mode with all the extensions disabled to see if that would solve the issue, but alas, it didn't help me isolate anything.

Recently my Firefox crashes sometimes when downloading a file for example from Yahoo mail. This is not happening always, but sometimes when downloading a file. I have the latest version of Firefox, Windows 10. I changed password, deleted cookies, did full virus scan, but the problem still persists. Is this an issue of the new version of Firefox and will be fixed with the new update of Firefox ? This is happening only with Firefox and not with other browsers.

Using Thunderbird 102.3.1 on Windows. When I start the Calendar, the wrong current date is highlighted in the Month and Day views. In the Month view, there is a blue bar on the top of the 3rd day of the month. But today is the 5th! Switching to the Day view, it also shows the 3rd (2 days ago). Interestingly, in the Multiweek view, the blue bar highlights the correct date - the 5th. Similarly, in the Week view, the correct date is highlighted (red line).

In summary, the Day and Month view are wrong, the Week and Multiweek are correct. Switching between them does not "fix" any of the view displays.

If I stop Thunderbird and bring it back up again, the blue highlight will move to the correct date. But then as days pass it seems to be stuck on the date I restarted Thunderbird (which I did on the 3rd).

I do have an Extension to connect to Google calendar. I disabled that and all my calendar entries disappear. But the wrong date behavior continues as described above.

There are no Date problems with the Today pane on the right side. That is always correct.

What can you do about it?

www.google.com has a security policy called HTTP Strict Transport Security (HSTS), which means that Firefox can only connect to it securely. You can’t add an exception to visit this site.

The issue is most likely with the website, and there is nothing you can do to resolve it.

If you are on a corporate network or using anti-virus software, you can reach out to the support teams for assistance. You can also notify the website’s administrator about the problem.

Ever since 'upgrading to TB 102.2.2, I get the blue spinning wheel for 3-10 seconds after almost anything I do (send mail, get messages, delete mail, archive mail, etc.). I use TB on two different computers at home - a Macbook Air with OS Monterey (version 12.5.1) and a PC running Windows Pro 7 (yes, it still works). This problem is happening on both computers. I have super-fast internet. Any ideas on what could be causing this?

Has clearly been a long-standing issue, first reported in 2008 [on Stack Overflow](https://stackoverflow.com/questions/182615/why-does-my-rss-feed-duplicate-some-entries) (see [this answer](https://stackoverflow.com/a/48707313) for more information). Based on my experience some feeds have been affected as long as I've used Thunderbird, for instance [this custom RSS feed-creator for Reddit](https://github.com/johnwarne/reddit-top-rss) frequently pulls duplicate entries.

Is there any built-capability to remove (and mark as read, if needed) these "copies", for instance by matching any messages with an identical body? An addon is also an acceptable method, if there's one compatible with Thunderbird >100.

My work computer is behind a firewall that is a forward and reverse proxy. Firefox crashes fairly frequently but my work computer is not using and will not be using the forward proxy; that is for the web server. Therefore the crash reports so not get submitted. There is an error message: "There was a problem submitting your report." Is there another way to submit them?

The problem started about a week ago, with me receiving some but not all new incoming e-mails twice. But since yesterday I got all 460 mails from the webmail server transferred to the inbox and today I got these 460 mails again. So now I have 920 mails in the inbox multiple times. Some of them twice some of them three times and some four times. I use POP3 and have a web based email I can access for that account, but there seems everything normal. Is there a problem with sychronising the mails or should I just switch the account to IMAP?
