I use a paid for subscription to Gemini AI. It often creates "visuals" for me apparently using JSON code. These do not show up at all. Moreover, the buttoms and other UI controls do not display well in Firefox. Is there a way to fix this?

After the most recent Firefox update all my bookmarks were scrambled. For example, when I open one marked Bank of America, I get Go Daddy. How do I restore my bookmarks to what they were before the update?

Last month I installed Firefox on my brand new Windows 11 PC. The PC is set up using UK English as the default language and all the applications, including Norton extensions in Firefox v 153.0.3 (64bit), install in English.

The one exception is the Norton AntiTrack extension downloaded and installed from MS Store. It installs in English on MS Edge, but on the same day installed from MS Store on Firefox in French.

I have uninstalled AntiTrack and Firefox from my PC and then reinstalled them after rebooting, but it still insists on reinstalling in French. I can find no way to change the language setting in AntiTrack.

Does anybody have any suggestions to solving this problem.

NB AntiTrack also installs in English on our Android tablet and phones.

title sums it up mostly. I've entered troubleshooting mode; no discernible difference. When I switch profiles the issue is resolved even with the same YouTube account. Tried clearing the cache, nothing. Most recent version of Firefox, windows 11.

I changed my password for Greenby/Plusnet today. Now Thunderbird is unable to connect to them. The password is correct as I can enter website directly. No problems before change. Grateful for help.

Should I reinstall?

Hi! I have been using Firefox for quite some time, and as of yesterday I have encountered a problem. Any site I try to watch video on, be it Twitch, Youtube, etc., the videos now pause every 1-2 seconds to buffer for 4-5 seconds. The progress bar at the bottom of the Youtube videos will say they are loaded well passed the point its stopping to "buffer" at, and this is only occurring on Firefox, I have tested other browsers and am not encountering this issue. Troubleshoot mode also doesn't change anything, and neither does private browsing.

Thunderbird has stopped downloading mail from the outlook account for my prime account, but my secondary account also outlook is OK. It kept asking to sign into my account then directed me to a web page to sign in for outlook, but it would only let sign into the 2nd account. I have tried uninstalling Thunderbird and re-installed it but still have the same problem.

I just downloaded Thunderbird onto my new laptop. I use AOL as my mail server (not voluntarily; they own the verizon.net email domain). This is also my 1st foray into IMAP.

On Thunderbird, there are two "Drafts" folders (identical spelling). My draft emails go to one of the two. I cannot unsubscribe from either by using the any of the methods I found on here (including: uncheck, close Subsribe, close the program, wait a few mins, then open the program). The result is that both "Drafts" folder remain on the LH panel and both remain checked in the Subscribe window.

An interesting note is that the properties of the "Drafts" folder that does not receive draft emails is: "imap://w5mt%40verizon.net@imap.aol.com/Draft" with the Name in the Folder Properties window as "Drafts" (this cannot be changed in the Folder Properties window). The properties of the "Drafts" folder that does receive draft emails is: "imap://w5mt%40verizon.net@imap.aol.com/Drafts" with the same Name, "Drafts".

Just to make things more entertaining, AOL Mail also has two "Drafts" folders; one is in the list of folders below Inbox and does not receive draft emails, the other is in the Hidden Folder List and that is where draft emails go. The "Draft" in the main folder list can't be manipulated (e.g. moved). The one in the Hidden Folder List can't be moved to anywhere outside the Hiden Folder List.

In Thunderbird, I would just like the "unused, undesired" "Drafts" folder to either be deleted or hidden. At present, neither option seems possible.

Incoming mail on my windows 11 computer has begun appearing in the Sent folder instead of the Inbox. It appears to have started 7/26/26. When I right click on the message I see an option to "move to inbox again".

  This does not happen on my Macbook.

Whenever I sign in to my VA account, I check the box to "Remember this browser" (as attached), but it never works. VA IT told me it was an issue with the browser (i.e., Firefox). This might have just been their way of making me go away quietly. (Blowing me off!) But I thought I'd check with you anyway. Can you help? Thanks

Somehow I got 2 emails: gregory@gregorysantana.com and Gregory@GregorySantana.com The lower case shows a lock blue envelope and the upper case shows a lock red envelope. I don't understand the icon meaning of the lock icon and the color coding.

Further: I use command File, sub menu Get New Messages for All Accounts.

In the lower part of the overall panel, I see new messages downloading, but the new messages don't show up in either account.

How to correct, it is important.

As in the subject, my computer has sound everywhere else but, despite 'play a sound' still showing as ticked in general settings, no sound happens when an e-mail arrives. And, in general settings for 'when a new message' arrives, I can hit the Play Button there and the sound happens. How do I fix this?

Description:

After updating Thunderbird to version 153.0.2esr, released on 4 August 2026, emails can no longer be dragged and dropped from Thunderbird to the Windows Desktop or any folder in Windows Explorer.

The problem occurs with all tested email accounts and folders. It has been reproduced independently on two different Windows computers using the same Thunderbird version.

Saving an email manually with Ctrl+S works correctly and creates the .eml file. Normal drag-and-drop between folders in Windows Explorer also works. Only dragging an email from Thunderbird to Windows Explorer fails.

The issue also appears to affect third-party applications that use Thunderbird to create or send emails automatically.

Steps to reproduce:

Open Thunderbird 153.0.2esr on Windows. Select an email in any account or folder. Drag the email to the Desktop or another folder in Windows Explorer. Release the mouse button.

Actual result:

The email is not copied or saved to the selected Windows folder.

Expected result:

Thunderbird should export the email as an .eml file in the selected folder.

Additional information:

Ctrl+S successfully saves the same email. The issue affects every tested email account. Thunderbird extensions were disabled, but the problem remained. Thunderbird Troubleshoot Mode did not resolve the issue. Restarting Thunderbird, Windows Explorer and Windows did not resolve it. Thunderbird and Windows Explorer are not running with different elevation levels. The problem was reproduced on a second computer after installing the same Thunderbird version. No relevant error is shown in Thunderbird’s Error Console when the drag-and-drop operation fails. The issue was not present before the recent Thunderbird update.

This appears to be a regression in Thunderbird 153.0.2esr affecting email export through drag-and-drop and possibly Thunderbird’s integration with external applications.

when i use Chrome or edge to access yahoo email I can write & edit. when using Firefox browser; I cannot write & edit/highlight/change text colours etc before sending. tried deleteing & re-installing Firefox . please help. Driving me crazy rsvp

Hi, in this year I have sometimes problems with Google meet on my T480 notebook. I could not define any reason or what could be connected to this behaviour.

Start of the meeting is usually ok, but by time it starts to stutter. Video, audio and other callers stop to understand what I am saying. I have no issue with Chrome. And camera seems to be much better with Chrome. I use ocassionaly MS Teams and when I am in Firefox, it happened too. The main issue is, that it's unpredictable. It's not related to if I share the screen or not, or the others. It can be just simple call with camera off. And it happens sometimes, but often. So I learned by time to join meeting with Chrome. I tried to shut off extensions without positive result.

It is interresting, that it's working like that last several months. I started to use google meet in 2024 and it worked well all the time until this year. Hardware acceleration is on, I think I already tried to shut it off. I use ESET, that's only thing which occurs in my mind, what can be relative to this issue. But only in Firefox? Any advices?

Hi! I am having an issue with displaying sent mails. As you can see in the screenshot (cropped for privacy), I have selected the option to "Place replies in the folder of the message being replied to", which to me means that eg. a reply I sent will both be shown in the "inbox" folder in the message thread, as well as in the "sent" folder. However, it only shows up in the "inbox" folder. Why does this not work?
