Hello, I am using Firefox 101.0.1 (64-bit) on windows 11 Pro

I am unable to search through tags in firefox address bar as explained here in this documentation https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/address-bar-autocomplete-firefox

with that said, the problem is only with "+ tagname" not working, as I am able to filter through bookmarks using "* bookmark" and history and tabs. However, for tag search with "+", firefox doesn't work.

The Firefox 2FA setup guide lists Google Authenticator, Authy, FreeOTP, and a few others.

Can I use Protectimus OTP for Firefox 2FA, instead of Google Authenticator or Authy, or the others listed in the 2FA guidance? I already have some other accounts set up with Protectimus and would prefer to stick with one 2FA authenticator app.

I want to open pdfs from firefox (snap 101.0.1) with the default application of the system (Xubuntu 22.04) and not open them in a new tab within forefox.

But it does not work, as if there was a problem with the system handler but only for pdfs and not for other file formats.

More details :

• I changed Preferences/general/Applications for pdfs to use either "always ask" (and then chose "open" " With system handler" when asked) or "default system application". In both cases the pdf is downloaded but not opened. If I right click on the downloaded pdf in the list of downloaded files and then chose "open with system handler", nothing happens.
• Opening the pdf inside Firefox works well and opening pdfs saved on my disk (outside firefox) as well.
• Opening other file format by choosing to open them from firefox with the system handler works well too (tested eg with .torrent, .xls, .tif,...).
• I tried to change the default system application for pdf (Atril) to other softwares without success (Okular, Evince).
• If I try to open a .djvu file with the "system handler" it is opened correctly using Atril which is the also default for pdfs... So Atril works for .djvu files but not for pdfs...
• I tried to replace the handlers.json file from my profile by a handler.json file from a brand new profile, without success (I still have a backup of my old profile file if needed). I did that because opening with the system application worked before and the bug appeared after I changed all applications preferences to "always ask" (and there were a lot of them in my rather old handlers.json file).

I'm lost...

dear Support people, I need your help! on June 22-23, you sent me an automatic browser update, that field and sent a message that the browser can't be opened. so I had to remove it and install it back. however, my open tabs, about 45, can't be found.

these tabs are kept open for my Phd. thesis about giants and I am in great need of them. please, do all that you can to restore them for me.

I use Firefox as my default browser on my windows 10 pc. Why is it I am constantly having to verify my laptop with CAPTCHA nonsense??? I clear my cookies etc all the time. When I used MS Edge - never had this issue.

Also, why don't you have chat support? Email responses is rediculous and should be only used as a confirmation to a chat session. When are you getting live chat support?

I cannot find the answer to this issue in Norton, Windows, or Gmail, so I wondered if it's an issue with Firefox. Shortly after a Firefox upgrade, I started missing content in emails. One example is the verification code from Firefox was not showing on my computer screen when I opened the gmail from Firefox. I had to open the gmail on my iphone to view the verification code. Several emails do not show the message. Also, I am unable to just open an attachment to view now. All attachments are downloaded. This is not a problem on my other computer or iphone, but it started to be an issue on this computer recently.

The second tab does not close when I click the X.

The first, third, and subsequent tabs do close by clicking the X.

I can close the second tab either by right-clicking it and selecting "Close tab" or by right-clicking the first tab and selecting "Close multiple tabs > Close tabs to the right"

It's annoying, but not a deal breaker.

I want to import my bookmarks (.html file), but all of the help I find online references Firefox's "library," and I can't find a library. Info on how to get to the library doesn't match what I see in Firefox.

Can anyone suggest a solution please?

I use Thunderbird Version 101.0.1 on a Windows 10 PC. I am in England UK. All my email accounts are setup as IMAP.

I note that email messages in the 'draft' folder can be edited and the messages have an 'edit' button. This means, you can edit and save messages.

I have created folders in Thunderbird and I move messages from 'drafts folder' into these folders. Problem is I can't edit them and save them. I have to keep moving the message into 'drafts' then edit and save and move. This is inconvenient. 

I have tried various add ons but none do what i want. How can I make Thunderbird, show the 'edit' button on messages in my other folders so that I can save the message and edit it later.

Where can you suggest that Thunderbird make such an add-on.

I've not been able to restore previous session of tabs and windows even though the box is checked in settings to restore prevous sessions. I've also tried all the troube shooting things. I really need this to work. I've been using firefox for many years. Please help me.

A friend used my PC and now whenever I have to fill in a form with my details their name always shows up above mine as a possible autofill option. How do I stop this?

No matter how many articles I read on how to get my passwords to save, no matter how many times I check the settings yes they're still all correct, after an update (I think) firefox no longer asks to save passwords and doesn't volunteer any information about them.

After the recent update, I have not been able to open a new incognito mode window with the Ctrl + Shift + Right-click keyboard shortcut, but I am still able to open a new window with Ctrl + N and new tabs with Ctrl + T. Re-installing the browser does not work nor does the shortcut work with the other Ctrl and Shift buttons on my keyboard. I have tested my keyboard and it does not seem to be the problem as everything functions properly on it.

In trying to find ways to remove elements, it seems like I need to go the CSS route. I was wondering if anyone could recommend a good tutorial or good videos or something so I can learn how to do it. It looks complicated to me, so any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
