This has been happening for about a year now, I followed the guide and tried the troubleshoot mode and my tabs still crashes.

Can anyone help me read the crash reports and find the cause or common issue?

Here are the most recent crash reports I submitted.

Concurrent with the most recent automatic windows update (may or may not be the problem), Firefox with duck-duck-go will not go to almost any site. All I get is a spinning icon or a blank page, not even any error messages. This was even true trying to go to this page until I restarted in trouble shooting mode. Until I can get Firefox working again I have been using Chrome with duck-duck-go. Note any search, i.e. 'hotels in Italy' or even 'MSN' do the same: spinning icon or blank page!! Any help would be appreciated. Also I noticed that my bookmarks were missing and there was no bookmarks drop-down on my tools line. I have run malware bytes and it showed clean, same with CCleaner. I have re-installed Firefox; no difference. Please help. and also, any way to find and replace my extensive bookmarks list? I have reduced my privacy to near zero and turned off firewalls and all limits I could find while testing for that. That did not change anything.

Since the latest upgrade to 115.10.1 (64-bit) I have an issue about running Thunderbird.

From a clean Windows 11 start up it is OK but then if I then Exit and then try to run the bird again it does not start.

Digging around I discovered using Task Manager, a number of Thunderbird processes run after I had Exited. See attached.

Any thoughts?

I have logged out of one Gmail account and want Firefox to use another, but Firefox ignores the one I want to use. How do I get Firefox to recognize a certain Gmail account so I can receive mail?

I had to change my Google account and therefore my Gmail password due to a reported security breach. I've successfully changed my password for Gmail on my iPhone and iPad but I can't on T'Bird.

I expected that when I opened T'Bird, I'd get an error message saying my password was invalid and then prompting me to enter the new password for my Gmail account. That's the way it used to work and it worked well.

Instead, I get some sort of useless error message about STAT (??) and my credentials are invalid. I get no prompt to enter the now changed password. I get no info as to WHAT credentials aren't valid.

So I opened the Password Manager, found the Gmail line, entered Show Passwords and then edit password. I entered the new password, double checked it and closed out the Password Manager. I get the same useless message about STAT. The old password was *not* the Gmail password.

I opened the Password Manager to find the password is entered correctly. Why is this simple operation so miserably difficult? The old method worked perfectly every time now this one won't at all.

Many, many websites now have this behavior: at the top of an article or blog post is an embedded video. (Or sometimes, partway through.) Scrolling past the video causes it to jump to a sticky position in the lower right corner of the window. (See attached screenshot.) Also, even if various disable-autoplay boxes are ticked in my settings, the shifted video will always start playing.

Granted, most sites provide a little "X" to close the video. At worst, there is the pause option. But still, it's an annoyance to have to do this on soooo many sites, every time I visit to read something.

Key word there: read.

My point is: if I wanted to watch the video, I would have, when it was right there in front of me. Since I have scrolled past it, this ought to be an indication that I do not want to watch the video.

So, the request is some sort of option in Settings that would prevent this behavior. Enabling it would do nothing else to the page except prevent the behavior as described.

is there a way to include or insert custom code into the head section of outbound Thunderbird emails?

Note that I am not talking about custom email headers, but custom html into the <head> section of outbound HTML emails.

I recently purchased a new laptop and needed to migrate my old Thunderbird profiles. This is what I did: 1. Backed up profiles from old laptop 2. downloaded and installed latest version of Thunderbird on new laptop 3. coped profiles into \roaming directory 4. tested and successfully received emails and viewed all old emails.

The problem is that the Mail toolbar is nowhere to be found. Also, the calendar is missing. I tried right clicking on empty space and it only showed "menu bar" as an option. Attachment shows nothing in the toolbars option of View dropdown.

Hello. I have put my language everywhere on the settings which is latvian. For possible translations i have only put english. Some pages, for example, whatsapp web is showing in russian ( i mean the app data for sure, not the messages), also some homepages i use open automatically in russian. How can i put latvian by default or if its not available for the homepage, put english automatically?

Canvas is working on all other browsers normally, but when I try to login on firefox an error 403 message shows up at the two factor authentification step. I allowed popups already in this browser so that is not the issue.

in the contact field, how do i change the name of a contact field like custom properties or organizational properties to something else? i do not know how to add an image! So, go to address book, new contact, and you will see the fields custom properties and organizational properties towards the bottom.....Thank you...b³

I'm trying to migrate Thunderbird from my old PC/Windows 10 to my brand-new PC/Windows 10, following the step-by-step instructions on https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/moving-thunderbird-data-to-a-new-computer. I followed those instructions to the letter (multiple times) but can't get it to work. Are there more recent (and perhaps more complete) instructions to be found elsewhere? Does anyone else have the same?

I have made a copy of my old TB profile folder on a backup stick (it is titled 'Thunderbird', and inside that folder is a folder titled 'Profiles' that contains a number of folders including the most recent profile that I am still using with my old PC. The difficulty is getting this backed up profile info installed on my new 'destination' computer.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

The latest version of Thunderbird has lost the Advanced Search button. I can still access it from Control/Shift/F so the function is still there, but no obvious way of accessing it

When I move the cursor over the bookmarks bar the Tabs bar opens and closes causing the bookmarks to move up & down and prevent the cursor from using the bookmarks bar, How can I fix that?

Good morning, I have a problem with disappearing bookmarks, but I can organise the backup of the places.sqlite, but I assume that won´t be enough to recover, therefore my question is, which files would be needed or is the one mentioned sufficient?

A few weeks ago I began, while trying to connect to Kaiser from an email message, to get a response that said it was unable to connect because "server not able to redirect." I wasn't getting any error messages from any other sites or attempts to connect with any other sites.

I contacted Kaiser and got some tech office in California (I'm in Hawaii). I did all that they suggested, i.e. "cleaning up" my computer, and I even paid and installed a program called "CClean", and used "Ninite." After making all the "clean ups" the error message was still happening, and later it even mentioned Firefox in the message.

At that point I had no idea what to do and went to "help" on the application menu. Did the "troubleshooting" a couple times, and then saw a "refresh" button, that I thought was probably, and looked innocuous; this led to a bunch of other things that I certainly didn't want to mistakenly perform anything untoward.

After all this I was finally able to link properly with Kaiser, BUT ALL OF MY TABS WERE GONE!

This seems to be a real problem on Firefox, since I've NEVER seen anything that is easy to select to "resolve", "reinstate", or "RECOVER" tabs. I've seen many of the same questions about TAB recovery before.

I've been with Firefox for probably a couple of decades now, and this seems to be a major issue without any "easy" solution. Or, am I just missing something completely?!

A blank survey pops up in my homepage each time I open Firefox, I haven't filled it yet since I don't know what it entails and what it is about. There is no option to close it either, and it seems bugged as it isn't going away even after updating the version of Firefox, it is still present on 125.0.2 version. Kindly assist regarding the same. I have attached a picture of the same herewith.
