I have tried everything that the Forums suggest but to no avail, even checking my AV isn't blocking things. It's all very well TB automatically blanking these images, but where is the control that allows us to overide it?!! This is getting very frustrating! If it can't/wont be fixed soon, then I'll have no option but to change my support for another email app. I can "Select All" in an email, copy & paste it to a Word Processor App like Textmaker and everything appears including images! So why not show them in the B***** emails?!!

How to BLOCK systemtimezone detection in Firefox? Can this be done with firefox or with the operatingsystem itself? After all i know for a fact that the bromite android browser has this feature and it works. I noticed that disabling javascript blocks systemtimedetection, but it also basically renders the browsers useless for my purposes.. are there specific javascript config settings regarding systemtimezone detection? I really feel that when a website spys on my systemtimezone this is a breach of privacy as this goes beyond the browsers im using to view the website but instead directly access information about my system, im not ok with that... Using a virtualmachine just to fake systemtimezone cannot be the solution, this is ridiculous.

By the way, i hope Mozilla won't let down support for Manivest v2 ever, there is a chance firefox will gain a boost in users after google pushing Manivest v3 that hard... making adblock useless, what a shame.

Hi, I am using Ubuntu 20.04LTS and Firefox 104.

My Firefox cleans up on every shutdown. Therefore I have to enter my primary password after every fresh startup, when I open a page that needs a stored password the first time.

I cannot exactly remember since which version, but for like the past 1 or 2 months there is a strange behavior. - Firefox Startup - I open my daily tabs - it shows me 4 Primary Password dialogues (basically 4 Tabs need the credentials)

in the past: - Firefox Startup - I open my daily tabs - it showed only 1 Primary Password dialogue

When I open Firefox and only open 1Tab with a stored credential, the dialogue shows only once, i enter my primary password and from there I can open my daily tabs without a further dialogue.

I think this is an unwanted behavior and needs to be rolled back.

Hi,

I'm using 2SV with OAuth2 and I want Thunderbird to not store the token. I have set the cookie preference to "allow for sesson" but sadly, TB stores an auth token in the passwords section so it will always store the token after one login and never ask for it again, essentially rendering the whole 2SV concept useless, and even worse, it will never ask for the password again either, taking the security risk to a whole new level.

Is there a way to make TB forget the auth token on close? I want it to ask for both the password and the authenticator code on every startup.

Thanks in advance!

Today updated Thunderbird from 52.9.1 to 91.10.0. On Debian 9. 91.10.0 is latest in Synaptic.

I know I'm out of date and am setting up Debian 11 elsewhere but do not wish to change until I really must for reasons don't need to go into here.

Now cannot set master password.

Tried method here: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/protect-your-thunderbird-passwords-primary-password?redirectslug=protect-your-thunderbird-passwords-master-password&redirectlocale=en-US

That fails with following message Uncaught Exception { name: "", message: "Component returned failure code: 0x805a1fbe [nsIPK11Token.reset]", result: 2153390014, filename: "chrome://pippki/content/resetpassword.js", lineNumber: 14, columnNumber: 0, data: null, stack: "resetPassword@chrome://pippki/content/resetpassword.js:14:9\n_fireButtonEvent@chrome://global/content/elements/dialog.js:495:19\n_doButtonCommand@chrome://global/content/elements/dialog.js:474:29\n_handleButtonCommand@chrome://global/content/elements/dialog.js:468:19\n", location: XPCWrappedNative_NoHelper }

I've read since that apparently I should have updated via various intermediate versions. I simply did a normal update in Synaptic hardly knowing that I shouldn't do that? What to do now? Any help please?

Under Debian stretch, version 91, this was not a problem but under Debian bullseye, version 91.13 I can no longer attach a file from my own computer, nor add an image to an email. I've made sure the 'Allow remote content' box is ticked, even tho my own computer is hardly remote content. After trying adding 'file:///' to the 'exceptions' and ticking 'allow', I now find that the 'send' 'format' and 'insert' buttons are permanently greyed out. This is very poor. Googling shows that this is not a new issue.

when we browse the UI page of our application , in Firefox , it is not working. we are getting this error message "An error occurred: MOZILLA_PKIK_ERROR_SELF_SIGNED_CERT" . In Chrome and Edge browser is working fine.

For this application we are using self signed certificate. in other browser it is working fine , but when firebox it is not working. we have tried the below solutions. In Config : Security.enterprise_roots.enabled , we have changed the settings from “False to True”

Network.stricttransportsecurity.preloadlist , changed the value from “True to False”.

And we clear the SSL state and tried the UI page , got same error.

And also we tried

In profile folder renamed the cert9.db file to (cert9OLD.db) and tried that . But still we are getting same error message. We request your help on this.

Hi I've recently started with a new web host for a new project and it has made me wonder about email security on the old host. On the new host I've set up SSL for a website using cPanel. I now see that the old site's cPanel doesn't have an SSL option under Security. So if I enable SSL/TLS under Accounts/Server Settings/Connection security, how is it working? It's possible I might have absent-mindedly added an exception when one of those security panels comes up. Does that mean I've bypassed the requirement for a certificate and there is no security? Or do shared hosts have something built-in? It doesn't look like it since I've been looking into it. To use the SSL connection security do you always need to install a certificate on the web host?

Recently ... ... ... about the same time I got a message concerning Thunderbird that certain systems will --- as of Oct 5 --- not allow e-mail transfers between the TB e-mail client and their systems due to TB [supposedly] using the older "TLS 1.0 and 1.1" encryption protocols, I got this message when I logged on to my primary e-mail server "MAIL.COM", so to check my e-mail and spam filters on their system, using Firefox 104.0.2:

This is what I get when I first log on:

Your browser is not supported.

We generally support the following browsers: Google Chrome, the latest version of Safari, Internet Explorer 11 and later, Firefox from version 33, Opera from version 10. To fully utilize the functionalities of your mail.com mailbox, we recommend using the latest version of your browser. Download Browser for free

The mail.com mailbox is also available with limited functionality.

(The browser they offer shows only for Google and Android Apps. Not for a "DESKTOP" version, to note.)

When I am logged in, I "AM" limited to "JUST" the e-mail section.

LUCKILY, I do not use their "CLOUD" or "CALENDAR" or other features, or I would "ALREADY" be blocked out of using such.

That FF does use 1.2 and 1.3, yet I "AM getting the above message and "AM" being restricted by "MAIL.COM" due to it claiming FF is NOT using the newer protocols, is there a fix to clear this.
