I just lost several hundred tabs on Firefox mobile right after it updated itself. The most recent tabs show only ten of those tabs, which were all opened and closed today and aren't part of what I need to restore.

How do I get my tabs back? I've seen no 'restore previous session' option. My laptop only shows the few I have open now. What do I do to restore them?

I am migrating to a new laptop. The new laptop keeps asking me for a primary password. I have never set one up. This issue doesn't happen on the old machine, only the new one. It also won't let me disable the pop-up that asks for the primary password. Please advise.

I've added https://x.com as an exception site but it is still blocked.

First, I am supporting a family member, who has TB configured on two separate machines. Configuring for Comcast IMAP+SMTP, in the usual manner; nothing esoteric about that, all very routine.

Machine A seems to be working okay, no errors. TB up to date on this machine, connected over an ethernet wire, if that makes any difference.

Machine B, getting spam prompted over IMAP 1014 errors. No other information is provided than 1014.

I have tried dropping the account configuration hundred percent, restarting TB, re-adding the account configuration, to no avail. Still spam 1014 errors.

I did happen to notice TB needed an update, so I did that as well. Still 1014 errors.

I have also tried dropping that email saved password from the saved passwords, and responding to the subsequent re-enter password prompt. Also to no avail.

What if anything might have changed, and how can we contend with this? What is so corrupt, do we need to be mucking around in any AppData files, roaming files, etc?

We are not the only ones, apparently, to have bumped into this issue. Not sure if this is also Comcast specific, since a recent TB and/or IMAP specification change, i.e. maybe we try with a gmail account, for instance.

Wondering also, is it IMAP and/or Comcast somehow tieing Machine A to the IMAP and not releasing that association? Knowing a little bit about IMAP in this regard. And/or somehow now prohibiting Machine B+ from establishing a connection?

Whenever I close my browser, it will show but when i open a new tab, it is gone and when i check settings, it is unchecked. I tried enabling both Shortcuts and Recent activity but only Recent activity is saved and Shortcuts is not saved.

Under test set up it says I only have to ensure that the from: email is correct.

But what if I use a different reply-to email address?

for example:

• Person A has a PGP is set up for PrsA@example.com, they also publish their public key in https://keys.openpgp.org/, Their reply-to email is PersonA-lastname@example.com
• Person A sends email with PGP public key attached to Person B. Person A already has Person B's public key.
• Person B receives the public key and saves the cert in relation to PersonA-lastname@example.com just to be sure they go to https://keys.openpgp.org/ to check but it is not there.
• Person B sends an encrypted email to their only known address (personA-lastname@example.com) with the encryption public key provided.
• Would Person A be able to receive the email?

tests I have done:

• I tried this with edward-en@fsf.org and I get an email back saying: Diagnostic-Code: smtp; 550 Edward needs reply-to or from to be the same as envelope from
• I tried this to myself and I am able to read the email.

Trying to access the following address. https://webplay.serverguru.best/. I run Mozilla on all my computers and this computer will not go to site. I cannot figure out why. I get the following message:

Hmm. We’re having trouble finding that site.

We can’t connect to the server at webplay.serverguru.best.

If you entered the right address, you can:

   Try again later
   Check your network connection
   Check that Firefox has permission to access the web (you might be connected but behind a firewall)

I have an email conversation that's gone back and forth many times, with the other party including useful links for me. I noticed today that links are only live (blue, clickable) in the most recent email, if I scroll down to past emails in the chain, all links are plain text and not clickable. How can I make them all clickable please?

Today my PC has launched Firefox 3 times on 3 occasions before I could tell my PC to launch McAfee. I shut off Firefox as soon as it would let me and proceeded to McAfee alright. I never use my computer without the antivirus/firewall etc. running even if I am not on the web.

I checked Firefox settings but could find nothing specific to my issue. I have not made any changes to Firefox or any other software since the last Firefox upgrade. My PC runs Windows 10.

Is there a switch or toggle I can use to ensure my PC waits before loading Firefox? This phenomenon is new today. Thanks!

WP10 / Firefox / Thunderbird :

There are two different email accounts/names in Thunderbird. Only the original one shows in Firefox Settings Passwords.

How can I have Passwords also recognize and display information for the second account?

I just made an account under the user name igoreulaers1 with email address igoreulaers@icloud.com. It looks like the user name igoreulaers is taken, and most likely because of me not being aware of that account. Is there a way to delete that one or transfer my iCloud address to it?

One of my two gmail accouns has suddenly become impossible to access (cannot receive, cannot send). T'Bird produces an Authentication has Failed notification, after a Google Window headed "Sign in to Mozilla Thunderbird Email" which refuses to go away. Clicking on the 'help' or 'privacy' options in that google window produces no more than a blank window but then "Sign in to Mozilla Thunderbird Email" reappears a few minutes later. My other gmail account doesn't have this problem, so I assume it's not gmail but it's T'Bird.

What's going on?

(BTW signing into this Support resulted in an email "New sign-in to Mozilla Support" warning "New sign-in to Mozilla Support to Firefox on Windows 10". Trouble is, I'm on Windows 11. Trivial maybe, but telling maybe.)

I just accidentally deleted my account and i just can't remember my password but i don't want to reset my password because my data could be deleted and i have no backups and no other way to get my account back besides resetting my password

I have an issue trying to configure a secondary email account, for a non-profit I do some work for. It was ok in the past, though I recall was tricky to set up on TB a couple of years ago. But now it has ceased to function after I migrated TB profile (successfully apart from this issue) no matter what I try. I’d be grateful for any suggestions. As is the case with many non-profits, there’s little tech support, but others can use the email account ok. I think it may be a TB issue as I have been able to set up the account ok with MS new Windows Outlook app (lame, but better than Mail…low bar). I’d rather have this account on my TB client along with the others I use. And the issue is replicated on two of my PCs. TB account set up reports “can’t detect settings from host server”. I found a support thread link text, which says “The failure to detect settings is rather common where hosted domains are concerned. Mostly because everything is done to a price and most of the things around encryption are done in a halfhearted manner. As is the server setups for mail. However by faithfully copying the settings from the provider as to domains server name and ports it should work.” So I did manual configuration – copied the settings from the successful Outlook set up, but no dice – all I get is server time out message. Settings are: IMAP server: mail.XXXX.org.uk Port 993 Security SSL/TLS [earlier working settings were STARTTLS port 143] SMTP server: mail.XXXX.org.uk Port 465 Security SSL/TLS [[earlier working settings were STARTTLS port 587] And using Normal Password for both; I tried Autodetect too but no good. I’ve see a suggestion that turning off the firewall (Norton) might work, but I’m reluctant to do that and doesn’t seem to make sense that would cause the issue. The last Firefox update, 126.0 (64bit), that was installed 2 days ago has caused various website's commentary or forums to not be displayed. For example, Yahoo finance page, attempting to read the "community" section of a particular stock such as Walmart (WMT) nothing is displayed. This happens also on news websites that allow commentary. Google Chrome does display commentary but I don't like using Google.

This is not the first time commentary has not being displayed after an update. Happened a couple of times last year.

The desktop pc is running Windows 11, version 23H2.
