Since upgrading to thunderbird 128.6.0esr, my shared google calendars no longer show any events.
The activity manager shows it is stuck trying to sync, but not going anywhere.
Onn checking the developer logs, the following messages are displayed.
Anybody else having this problem or know of a solution. (I have removed "CALDAV" and "TB SYNC" extensions - also installed "TB SYNC 4")

Hi to all ! On a MacBook Pro under Sequoia 15.3.1 whenever I launch T'bd (128.8.0esr) it opens but accepts no command and the message screen is empty. The CPU usage is about 25%. Nothing else of importance runs on the computer. The same happens sometimes in the middle of a session. I removed Norton 360 just in case: no help. I could not correlate this behavior with any change I or the software updates did (it worked perfectly well until ~end 24). When I wait (15-30 min) and the messages finally appear. I tried killing an relaunching T'bd but it does not make much of a difference. Would someone have an idea where I could search to solve that? Thanks in advance for any help. Max.

My host institution recently made a contract with Google and now we all use Google Workspace; our institutional e-mail server (Zimbra) is replaced with GMail. My full emailadress is the username, and then Google forwards one to a log-in-page of the institution via OAuth2.
At the institute I use Thunderbird on WIndows, and it is able to access the new account, as expected.
But here at home, where I use Linux Mint (Ubuntu/Debian based), also with Thunderbird, it doesn't work. I think the configuration is correct (it is identical to the one I use at the workplace) (first attached screenshot)
But when it's supposed to open the institution's authentication window, it gets stuck in a previous step, which is the Google window that should pass/redirect to the institutional log-in window via oAuth2. (second attached screenshot)
But instead, from here it goes to an unknown error, according to Google. (third attached screenshot)
I don't know what functionality I possibly haven't installed or activated in Thunderbird here at home, but which is functional on Windows? Or whether some security/privacy switch of Thunderbird or Linux' firewall or whatever, is 'on' and is blocking the redirection to the third-party log-in window?
How do I (in)activate or change what needs to be (in)activated or changed? Any ideas? Where can I look for this information? I scanned the questions on OAuth2 here, and none seemed related to what I experience.

Hi! Since a few months, I face the problem that Thunderbird stalls and is inaccessible for several seconds (>20) when a screen refresh happes or sometimes when for example a windows message pops up. I disabled/ininstalled all add-ons and also have reset all setings to their defaults. Has someone the same problem or has a hint for me? Thank you!

Since the last TB ESR update to 128.8 I no longer can download emails properly. It does kick of email download when starting the app, but gets stuck when loading emails from a GMX account. It also does not delete emails from the server as configured to do, so next app start it downloads the same emails again.
Clicking the Get Messages button does nothing nor does clicking on any commands in the context menu of the Get Messages button. There is no status showing in the status bar at the bottom nor do I get an error. I tried it in troubleshooting mode with everything disabled and it still does not work.
I did clear startup cache, compacted mailboxes, and used web mail portals to lower the number of emails to download (I deleted all those emails I don't want anyway).
Used to work reliably well before update and also when scheduled. Troubleshooting Info is below.
Any help is greatly apperciated.

As I have several eddresses I have several acounts in T'bird. However I don't care which acount an email arrives into. So I have a rule that transfers anything comming into all but one of the inboxes into one 'main' inbox. All the sub accounts are kept collapsed so I can see my main acount folders. Well and good. However when I want to trash an email I have to look which acount it came into, expand that acount, drag the email into that trash, and then collapse that acount. Selecting the rclick trash bin icon only works for emails into my main account. Is there any way I can simply trash an email from any acount - preferably into one bin?

In the past week or so I have noticed that some emails disappear from one inbox on my Windows 10 PC. I have three Thunderbird accounts (call them A, B, and C), and the emails only disappear from box A. It seems completely random, and furthermore they only disappear on my own PC. My husband has an identical set-up on his Windows 10 PC, which also includes the boxes A, B, and C, and the messages do NOT disappear there. I can also see them on my iPhone and two iPads, and they do not disappear from those. I have tried forwarding them to myself from my phone, and while most of them did show up in the A inbox on my PC, I have noticed that some of them have now disappeared again.
This is incredibly frustrating, because I do most of my work at my PC. I thought I needed an update, but TB says I am up to date (128.8.0esr (32-bit)). It can't be anything to do with the server, because it is so specific: one inbox on one PC only. There doesn't seem to be any special pattern--some have attachments, some don't.

I also posted two updates under the original question (which had a title something like 'Random emails keep disappearing'), and the problem is still ongoing, making my life a bit difficult, as I am at the moment in contact with doctors, lawyers, and insurers, and I keep losing their emails on my main PC, which holds documents that I sometimes need to attach to replies.
I am very surprised no one has replied (apart from my own updates), as usually there is someone out there with good ideas.
I'd really be grateful if someone could suggest something. Many thanks.

In the past week or so I have noticed that some emails disappear from one inbox on my Windows 10 PC. I have three Thunderbird accounts (call them A, B, and C), and the emails only disappear from box A. It seems completely random, and furthermore they only disappear on my own PC. My husband has an identical set-up on his Windows 10 PC, which also includes the boxes A, B, and C, and the messages do NOT disappear there. I can also see them on my iPhone and two iPads, and they do not disappear from those. I have tried forwarding them to myself from my phone, and while most of them did show up in the A inbox on my PC, I have noticed that some of them have now disappeared again.
This is incredibly frustrating, because I do most of my work at my PC. I thought I needed an update, but TB says I am up to date (128.8.0esr (32-bit)). Hi: I've just recently installed 135.0.1 Mozilla Browser and have found that the file SAVING-function in the 'Application Menu' does NOT PROPERLY WORK: it records my message-title but NOT the contents (0-bytes!) -I never had such a basic issue in many years of very satisfactory Browser-use ...am I have a wrong setting somewhere and is there any quick fix please ...? - Email me when someone answers the thread ...MANY THANKS, Tony H.

My Sent folder disappeared. How do I restore the folder with the sent messages still intact. Or, at the least, just restore an empty Sent folder. The In-Box, Drafts, and Trash are still there.
All the settings are correct, and it seems that because there's no Sent folder I cannot send an email. When I try to send a message I get the attached Error.
My local phone company routes email through Yahoo Mail, then to Thunderbird. It was all working fine until my Sent folder disappeared. Now because of the missing Sent folder I have to create the email message in Thunderbird saving it in Drafts so I have a record. Then, I have to copy it and send it from Yahoo Mail. Needless to say this is a pain in the you know what.
Can someone please provide the instructions to get my Sent folder back?

I've used TB for years, but never had this problem until I had to download and install the latest version (after one of my laptops crapped out). When replying to an email, everything works correctly EXCEPT when I try to change the color of my typed text, it will not display the new color. I have no idea if it's changed on the recipient's end or not, but it always used to show the new color on my screen. Everything else seems to working beautifully, as usual . . .
