I have F-Secure Internet Security installed. Browsing Protection by F-Secure says Security application not found, but it is installed. I've followed countless links, difficult to even find solution articles in either Firefox help or F-sure website. Inside F-secure settings a setup page takes me to the 'install add on' page, but it is installed! Allow automatic updates - on. Run in Private Windows - allowed. Run on sites with restrictions - allowed. Updates checked for. Permissions:

   Access your data for all web sites
   Exchange messages with programs other than Firefox
   Monitor extension usage and manage themes
   Access browser tabs
   Access browser activity during navigation

All ticked. Don't understand debugging tool.

McAfee malware has entered the firefox browser a couple of days ago claiming viruses have been detected & requires me to click on their popup to remove it. Additional warning follow and reoccur every couple of minutes. I don’t have McAfee Anti-virus software on my computer & have not installed any new software for some time. The anti-software I have works fine (Spybot & Microsoft Security Essentials) and detects no problems. The first application I initiate upon boot-up each morning is Firefox and that’s when the problem begins. It is somehow related to Firefox. I cannot find any processes in play.

I can open Chrome with no problems (however, Chrome no longer supports Windows 7. I’m using Windows 7 Pro. I tried all the free malware scanning programs suggested but nothing found.

I cannot find any link to Firefox Desktop Support as you suggested. Can you please forward this email to that support team.

I'm having trouble with my Thunderbird app (version 115.11.1) on macOS. I'm trying to add my Google accounts, but after I attempt to connect them, I receive the following warning message: "Unable to log in at server. Probably wrong configuration, username or password."

I've checked the configuration multiple times to ensure it's correct. Here are the settings I'm using for Gmail:

Incoming Server (IMAP): Server Name: imap.gmail.com Port: 993 Connection Security: SSL/TLS Authentication Method: OAuth2 Username: [my email address]

Outgoing Server (SMTP): Server Name: smtp.gmail.com Port: 465 Connection Security: SSL/TLS Authentication Method: OAuth2 Username: [my email address]

I've also emptied all saved passwords and allowed cookies from sites without any exceptions. Is the version of Thunderbird I have still incompatible with Gmail? Or is there another issue that I might be missing?

Hi Windows 10 64bits - Thunderbird 115.11.1 (but same happens with Linux Mint 21.3 Cinnamon). It is the 1st time I ask in this forum, so I hope I respect the rules... "Sometimes", in my e-mail "imapmail" sub-folders, "some" files with an added "-1" appear ("draft-1", "sent-1" , ...). They are always newer (modification date) than the file without the "-1". What are they ? Why create a "-1" that consumes space, and not over-write the existing files ? Is there a parameter somewhere in TB to avoid this behaviour (I closed TB, deleted them, but they "sometimes" reappear when I reopen TB ) ? Thanks in advance

Whose idea was it to popup a Firefox promotion window while I was working on a text? The popup took me out of the page where I was working, Google Voice. I am struggling, doing this with one hand while the other is in an Ace bandage with an ice pack on top. This was a needless interruption!

Hi. My hard drive crashed. I have a new pc and the old drive is readable in a drive enclosure hooked up to new PC via usb. I have done the typical search for the appdata profile file, but I am not sure what I have here. I have attached a screenshot of the old drive and a global search on "Thunderbird". I am not sure where the profile file is residing. Any advice would be welcome. Thanks.

Keep getting pop-ups from networkrush.co.in and speednetworkdevice.co.in both of which are identified as malware. Any way to block them?

Thunderbird. When I move an email it does not go to the new folder, it disappears. Ctrl-Z (in the same session, only) will bring the message back.

This is a serious and fundamental problem for an email reader. And there is no direct channel for getting help with such a fundamental problem.

The messages are not misfiled, they do indeed disappear. Thunderbird 115.11.1 (64-bit) on Windows 11 Pro 10.0.22631. OUTLOOK does not do this with the same mail accounts.

In the main toolbar there is an odd shaded icon visible (see right side of attached screenshot). This is thunderbird 115 from debian. What is this icon and how to get rid of it?

heb.com, logged in & saved it. When I looked at passwords again it had

First of all, I would like to thank you for allowing me to receive e-mail through your organization for quite a few years now. Up until about 3 days ago, there has never been any problems with it. Why is it, that I have NOT been able to receive my e-mails FOR THE PAST SEVERAL DAYS NOW? The last thing you sent me was a notice that there was some sort of faulty access by someone to my e-mail account and that I would have to change my password. I HAVE MADE SEVERAL ATTEMPTS TO DO THIS, BUT EVIDENTLY, MY ATTEMPTS HAVE FAILED. Could you please help me now to accomplish this? I have been successfully accessing my icloud account with thunderbird on Windows 10 for years and then on Tuesday (June 4th) it went weird. All I am left with is thunderbird's cached inbox e-mails. If I try to update the list of new e-mails, it just sits there with no errors reported. If I try to read some cached e-mails I can see the full text. (I am setup to always read plain text), but for some, I just get whitespace. I see "myname@icloud.com connected to imap.mail.me.com..." on the status line for most folders, but some just clear that status message.

Hello, I am a tinkerer and I would like to tweak my Firefox Developer Edition to suit my tastes, but I don't know what each of the preference commands does. Could you provide a list explaining what each command does and, if possible, how to use them? I don't want to reinstall Firefox.italic text I prefer to do things properly. Thanks

The behavior began with fifteen to twenty crash messages appearing. After which the browser would stop responding and be unable to reach out to the internet.

Network connectivity was confirmed as I was able to access my VPN and corporate teams.

I submitted as many crash reports as I could. Eventually the crash reporter ceased to function. The message is:

Firefox had a problem and crashed. Unfortunately, the crash reporter is unable to submit a report for this crash.

Details: expected value at line 1 column 1

Only a full reboot of the machine restored functionality but only temporarily. It returns after being put into sleep mode.

Running firefox in safe mode does not restore functionality. The behavior persists.

I am fully up to date according to firefox.

I am running a Lenovo Thinkpad Windows 11.

Hi, I opened my email this morning and all was fine. Then I checked spam etc, and went back and my inbox is completely empty. I'm not tech savvy, so I have no idea how to fix this. Could anyone help please?

For years I have used Firefox as my preferred internet browser, and most of the time it's OK. Recently, however, when trying to log on to my bank accounts, I get the message "Log on error. You need to enable cookies in your browser to logon to Internet Banking." How do I do this? In the meantime I am using another browser and can log on successfully there.

When I open Firefox (with administrative privileges) lt won't stay open, it just looks like it going to load my previous season (at least that's what should happen), but after a few seconds it just stops and closes, all at once? Also, I should mention; Firefox is updated, Using Windows 10. I've tried to trouble shoot a little . . .

Now, at one point it did open, and I decided to refresh Firefox (removing extensions and restoring to default settings) by going to 'More troubleshooting information' option, then clicking the Refresh Firefox button. Closed it, restarted my laptop, and Firefox, added my usual extension / add-on. (I was thankfully able to save my bookmarks or back them up).

Hi, I don't know if this is a problem or not, but my Inbox says I have 2 unread messages but I can't seem to find them. They usually show up in bold to alert me that they are unread, but I cannot find these messages at all and don't know where to look for them. This happened once before and I discovered that they were embedded in a thread that someone had replied to but didn't show up to where I could easily see it. I had to search through all my threads to find it. I am only having this problem on my computer running Windows 11. My ipad shows everything as being read. Any help would b appreciated. Thank you,
